I hope peavey is a negative slur. TSC is worthless for anything but Chinese Crap. I am 56 rember going into a TSC as a youngster. The one on market st. west of the stockyards. Those of you in Ky. know the one.In the spring it would be stacked foor to ceiling with parts/ stuff a farmer needed to keep running. The only clothes were coveralls and work boots. Sadly It's gone and so are the stockyards victims to college educated no nothing's.
@@petepeeff5807 You got that right... TSC is just a "dog n pony" store now... heck they've even put dog bath spas in some of them here... ridiculous! Their feed is overpriced garbage and they don't hardly have any parts or anything anymore... just enough to be annoying. I got aggravated because when I'd have a sprayer fitting break or something I'd end up having to buy about 3-4 fittings and daisy chain them together to get the fitting I needed because they'd never have the one I needed in stock... PITA. Went to get a lawnmower belt one day and none of them were on the right pegs... I started sifting and sorting and looking for the right belt and I finally was like "h3ll with it-- they'd do better to just dump them all on the floor in a pile and kick them around-- have about as much luck finding what you need!" I went to the auto supply and got one. They're not even a good lawnmower store anymore LOL:) I was in the NH dealer one day looking for a hay rake part and this guy comes blowing in like his @ss is on fire... looking for some gear and shaft for a spinner spreader (seeder cone spreader). The old parts man takes a look at it and is confused, he pulls a book and starts looking, and was like "where'd you get this? What's it off of?" The guy told him "my seeder" and after a bit more prodding, added "that I got at TSC". "Oh" said the old partsman... "Not much I can do for you... you'll have to get parts from them"... The guy looked chagrined and said, "I tried... they don't sell the parts, they wanted to sell me a whole new spreader". The parts man was like "I could have sold you a spreader..." and the guy was like "yeah but yours is like $700 I got the one at TSC for $500" and the partsman said without blinking an eye "Yeah, BUT I can get parts for the ones I sell!" The guy looked like he'd been slapped in the face, grabbed his broken part, and left... I just looked at the parts man and he looked at me and we both laughed... So much for the cheap TSC junk...
I agree 100% that these balers like tough hay. This was the first season using mine and it baled heavy wet second cutting much better than dry first cutting. I wrapped the bales and based on how the skid loader handled them I’d estimate weight at 1k+ pounds. Got pretty tippy putting them up on the in-line wrapper. Mine had a kicker but I took it off. Dry bales would hang up on it but I bet the second cutting ones would roll right off. I need to get a belt so mine will run in reverse. I guess previous owner went without for some reason.
Parts machines are a + when working with old equipment. Even running spare machines can be life savers on time/weather critical equipment. My wife calls me Noah because i have 2+ of everything.
What net wrap do you use, I'm looking at potential buying the same baler and read that these take an old style net that is black but yours is not so can you use a different net.
Are you really making a bale every minute and 20 seconds or was it edited? I just got a 848 at the end of last season and I think my fastest bale was around 10
Your work with the camera is fantastic! I really enjoy the views of the machines working from that close! Keep up the good work and be careful! 👍
Hello there Mr. Boehm❄☔. That hay looks good, in my eyes.

So much for the cheap TSC junk...
I'm in NE Texas and we had a draught. 4 x 5.5 rolls of coastal Bermuda hay (our good hay) is $150.00 per.....If you can find any.
Got it back working that's great. Have a good day.
Frys in Pennsdale Pa used to part out a lot of new Holland equipment😊
Hey Austin, hows it going?
His name is Adam just so your aware.
@@AJ3488 ya i became aware of that when bame told me.
Glad to hear. I miss Nick he always kept things interesting.
@@AJ3488 nick was really the star/ brains of this show. Just not as intelligent of content after he left.
He was a true uncle Si. The comic relief to some tense situations.
Fantastic work on explaining how the baler works. This video would be gold for anyone purchasing one of those balers.. 👍
We have a factory bale kicker on our 848 but removed it because it would make bales more susceptible to rolling downhill.
I always like a good run away bale for entertainment.
How is the 2+2 tractor doing I can not wait to see it again
I use a old new Holland chain baler too, and I live it!!! Its twine wrap, new Holland 847
Round bale speed baling ..
Looks like it’s running good 👍
Neighbour added a bumper bar to his older NH chain baler years ago. Can be done. Easier on the tractor I'm sure
🧙♂️☕♥️🙏🇺🇲🚜 love your videos keep on coming

Very nice "no Ford Farming action" video, so even without a Ford tractor your videos are still superb lol, looking out for more TW action

I use whatever rural king or tsc has. Nothing special.

No, I didn't edit it. If the hay is thick, the field is smooth, and I feel like really pressing my luck, the old baler will roll them up fast.
Do you ever miss having the 1466? Personally I thought that was the coolest tractor you had. Has nick destroyed it yet?
It's completely toast
