      Can you make a Russell Westbrook video please , every time he has a great highlight , they always make it private or delete, I can’t not believe how much they want him to fall. Just make me think the NBA is bullshit.

    I don't care that Iverson never won a ring. It just means he never had a great supporting cast around him. He found a unique way to be great. He was great because of his heart. And when people say that A.I. was undersized I always ask: Have you seen the size of his heart?

    • @corrimahanible8165
      @corrimahanible8165 5 лет назад +5

      He had all heart...I think some of the players were scared to guard him,,for fear of him breaking their ankles..he kept the NBA on skates...he was a beast.

    A.I is the greatest spirit to pass through the NBA and everything he went through all the criticism all the pain and non sense that the media puts out there, he fought through that. I wish he had won a ring desperately but he became something more precisely for everything he did do, he had so much heart and perfectly described what it means to have one in an interview stating, "the criticism never stops hurting, you just learn to make it hurt less." All of these reasons make him my favorite NBA player of all time, because all that he went through and still not winning a ring is just like the reality of life, sometimes you put in 110% effort and come up short, but his willingness to attack attack attack and never give up is what you should take away from him, and that is not just for basketball that's for life to.

      well said! iverson is the greatest player to me.. I wear Jordan's and Rep mj as he was a big part of my childhood but the important years of my life finding myself and going threw life's struggles many of which Allen himself went through made him that much more important and relevant to me as I can relate to his life.. # the answer #3

    I grew up in the East End of Newport News VA.. no father . Only white kid on the block. I am an old dude now. Allen and I went to Bethel High School together .We had the same class together. Allen Iverson always treated me with so much respect .. he was a superstar in high school but would even walk with me down the hall .. and I was fat , ugly , not popular and no one really would talk to me .. he is really a good guy !.. and I dont care what people say about him ..

  • @TheBoxingLaboratory
    @TheBoxingLaboratory 7 лет назад +6

    The basketball was an extension of Iverson's arms, it was like a paint brush in the hands of an artist. A.I. crafted masterpieces every time he touched the ball. Watching Iverson zoom past defenders was like watching a motorcycle zoom past heavy traffic on the freeway. Watching Allen Iverson break peoples ankles was like watching a wolf take down a buffalo. Watching Allen Iverson Dunk on players twice his size was like watching an eagle take down a wolf. My all time favorite player. Thank you so much for making this video.

    He is one of the best players EVER! And HE IS THE BEST ANKLE BREAKER EVER! No one has a crossover like him, he just have The Killer Crossover. This move by itself is a personality.
    Great show man, great entertainer, unbelievable player. Layups, double clutchs, crossovers, 3 points and also dunks! This man can dunk!
    Also he has style, he has a unique developed style! And other players just follow him, but he brought this style (that "street baller" thing to NBA). Damn, A.I is the definition of passion to the sport. The man did (not a big one, but did) a crossover on MJ! He scored over Kobe too! He isn't the best statistic player, but definitely one in a kind, to me: one of the top 5 ever!

      well your kinda missing the reasons i say this droses crossover makes anybody u put him up against hard to stay in front of him he has crossed over rajon rondo one of the fastest pgs in the league and not just him everybody has fallen to his crossover same as ai i think there as good as each other

    • @Midkiffx12

    Allen Iverson IS Philly basketball. Me growing up in Philly (I now live in Cali) used to look up to A.I cus he always did HIM he stood up for wat he belived in and lived up to the hype. He changed a entire generation it's crazy. Half of the nba wears arm sleeves cus of A.I and no one else, more ppl wear the #3 than #23 in the nba it's amazing. He led the sixers (a horrible team with 1 other good player but he was old and couldn't do much on offense) to the finals!! And made a comeback for history In the first game!!! A.i is IMO a top 10 player ever if not top 5

    A.I. had some faults but he gave his all to the game of basketball. He left it all on the court. Say what you will about the man; he changed the game like Mike did. People started dressing like him, getting tattoos and wearing jewelry like him. People in the hood could relate to A.I.. He was someone you could see yourself in. Anytime someone is able to make a mark on society like; it becomes dangerous. Anyway, much respect to Allen Iverson. He is definitely in my top 5 dead or alive. I relate.

He was one of a kind, he had so much heart, he was exciting to watch, he wore his heart on his sleeve and through his ups and downs, I rooted for him every step of the way. He was special. Thanks for making this wonderful tribute.

  • @raymondsmith2040
    @raymondsmith2040 9 лет назад +96

    I look at Iverson now that Im older, and realize how much he changed the culture of basketball. He made wearing cornrows and braids popular in the NBA. Everyone and their brotha wanted an arm sleeve in the early 2000s cuz of AI. And he really made the hip-hop generation of the early 2000s (best decade of rap hands down) synonomous with the NBA. Just a great talent that I wanted to patern my crossover after.

    • @sincewhen538
      @sincewhen538 9 лет назад +2

      I agree with u on everything but the best generation of hip hop was the late 90s early 00s

    I was a season ticket holder for 9 years during bubba chucks run with the sixers. the only word I can describe him with is "ELECTRIFYING" He played the game like his life depended on oit. it's such a shame that he couldn't play with other guys. guys like stackhouse n Larry Hughes. Eric snow Aaron McKie Theo Ratliff Bruce Bowen speedy clackston. Clarence weatherspoon. I hate when ppl say that the sixers never gave him the players to win....they tried to get them but noo e could play with Iverson. he was a great player and there is NO DENYING THAT but he was TOO selfish for his own good. but he was selfish because he KNEW he could win any 1on1 or if they doubled him hed get to the lane. the kid was a monster. best player to EVER play in Philly. I was at the game when he wemt running down the court with his hand to his ear whooping the fans up. it literally gives me the chills every time I see that highlight. he was a gangster and a thug and whatever OFF the court but ON the court he was an absolute BEAST!!!!! the fans of philly put up with all his off the court antics and thuggery because we knew that when he was on the floor something special could happen every minute he was out there. he gave EVERYTHING he had out there and it showed. us as sixer fans LOVED him. door the simple fact that he LOVED us back. the undying respect bubba showed to us fans was the reason we loved him back. he was a true legend. the only player in Philly that was more loved than AI was BRIAN DAWKINS , a guy who played the same way Chuck did. both of them showed the city love and we loved them both. they left their hearts and souls put on the field/court AMD both sacrificed their bodies for the love of the game.....(and a boatload of money lmfao) AMD in the end they both got fucked by the city. but being the class acts that they are they both returned to the city to be retired. that's the respect and lo e they had for US the fans! first ballot HOFer for sure AI is. if he isn't then the hall ois a total joke. I'm so lucky to have been alive and old enough to have seen jhis entire career. same with b dawk. I feel blessed to have had the chance to watch greatness every Sunday.
    Dawkins was a speaker at my high school banquet one year and I had a chance to speak to him for about 20 mins. I'll never forget it.
    as for Iverson, anyone from philly knows about the Mitchell & Ness store on Market Street. well I was in there during the "throwback days" when everyone wanted a throwback Jersey. I look to the back of the store and theres a guy standing there looking at a Steve Atwater Bronco's Jersey. funny thing is he has a GIGANTIC GOLIATH of a man standing next to him carrying AND I AM NOT EXAGGERATING A BIT at least 50-75 jerseys. lmfao. it had to be 5k worth of jerseys. anyone who knows M&N gear knows how !much those jerseys were. so naturally I had to go see who this could be.honestly I thought it was CASSIDY (the philly rapper for those who don't know who he is) AMD I stand next to him and look p er AMD ots fucking ALLEN MOTHER FUCKING IVERSON. AMD as bad of a rap as he gets off the court he noticed me looking at him, smiled, AMD extended his hand to me and before I could tell him what a fan I was he said,through his smile, 'Thanks fam, ots people like you that make me play as hard as I do'. u see he knew I was a fan and had all the admiration in the world for him. again we talked for about 15 mins until this !onster of a bodyguard started to struggle with the weight of at least 75-80 jerseys. he looked at his guard AMD started laughing so hard and said " aight man, my mans is strugglin I gotta be out." them HE THANKED ME!!!!!!! and he grabbed the Sixer's hat I was going to buy AMD said "yo I got this for u" and he bought my hat for me!?!!!!!!!!!!!!! he then signed it and put it on my head . all I could say was " hey Allen, how about one of those earrings " lmfao. we both had a laugh and he shook my hand agin a proceeded to pay for his items and pulled off in a red Mercedes. it's a day that I'll remember forever and tell my grandchildren about some day when they say Kobe this and Kobe that.... I still have the hat too. the only time I wore it is when Bubba Chuck placed it on me.
    noone will EVER be more respected ON the court than Iverson. off the court not so much lmfao.
    such a great warrior. the epitome of the way basketball SHOULD be played.
    I love him. not on no gay shit. but as much as one man can love another man without being attracted to him.
    AI BABY. FROM HAMPTON VIRGINIA TO PHILADELPHIA PENNSYLVANIA.
    greatest sixer of all time NO DEBATING.

    Jordan & A.I are the top two players to ever elevate the game of basketball. In the late 80's & early 90's everyone wanted to be like mike & from the mid 90's until now everyone wanted to be like A.I with the braids, crossover & arm sleeves. Kobe have even mimic his game from these two greats. He had jordan fade away & allen crossover. Those two are great cause everyone tried to be like them or tailor their game like them. Kobe, lebron will always be compared to mike cause they want to be like him. A.I will never be compared to anyone cause there has never been anyone like him. Big guards today will always be compared to mike not Kobe or lebron & small fast scoring guards will always be compared to allen iverson. Those two are the greatest thing that ever happened to the nba

    Don't know why y'all say A.I not good. He changed the game. Always breakin ankles and junk. Without him there would be no Kyrie, CP3 John Wall and more. He's just great

    A.I is my most respect and love player ever, I love his attitude and everything, I am from Malaysia, everybody talking about M.J, Kobe, But I say nah, A.I is the best player I ever seen in my life, there are many basketball players career better than him, But after u watch his game, u don't care about his career stats anymore, when people ask u who is the best crossover player ever, u gotta say is A.I
