      60km might feel long if they are a lot of hills.

    So it's not really a continuous cycle track. There are dangerous intersections, and you have to get off and walk your bike in a number of places. Okay....we still have a long way to go to be more like the Netherlands.

    I live in Hong Kong
    And I had ridden in this road before
    It's a fun trail with a nice scene
    However the road is really bumpy

      Is there a direct cycling route from Tsuen Wan to Ma On Shan? Or the only way is riding via Tuen Mun?

      @@valygarss You have to use Tai Po Road unless you are willing to take a long detour. It's quite dangerous though so be careful.

    Recently done this path from shatin to yuen long. While it is true that many sections of the path are pedestrian sidewalks and crossroads, most people still just ride their bikes on them, as not many people walk there, and the path is wide. So don't have to worry about getting off every few minutes

    Ive done this whole track before from Ma On Shan to Tsuen Wan and it was exhausting but great fun!

    Sounds more like a tourist track than as part of a cycling infrastructure for every day transport use.

    I found myself cycling through this section after my group suffered miscommunication over which cycling route to take when cycling together prior to the trip.
    Let’s just say it did not end well. 😂 Beautiful track, especially during the Fairview Park sector, but this is one heck of a track. 😂

    Making roads for bicycles is cool. Imagine then you’ll need a plate and a license to ride lol

    I used to cycle from Sheung Shui to Yuen Long (and back) long before this cycle track was opened, and I still do. Just not on this cycle track, which is very poorly designed.

    Really bad examples with new york and London. You should come to the Netherlands where we have the best bike cycle routes compare withe new york and London.

      Hongkong 12 yrs ago and now. Lot of changes but its always been building nad transport system.seeing something like that is of course new and refreshing.
      I dont live in HK. Ive been travel since covid been to hk multiple time to go to china, pleasant experience
