I really love owls and birds in general and I think that you captured the horned owls elegance perfectly. Also I want to thank you for this wonderful channel which really helps retaining my joy of painting. The subtitles are a great thing so even people from England (or Germany like me) can enjoy your videos^^
Love this! When I struggle and end up gut laughing at my latest painting, I go straight to the five min tutorials. The five min orange tutorial is a relief and the five min bottle tutorial is a win too. This owl may take some time and a lot of “laughs” but I’ll try it.
Haha... When I first started in Watercol, I used to hav prob with how much water to use with my brush, how not muddy my col mix... Etc. Just dun give up & keep learning fr gd generous artists like Shibasaki Sensei who share their masterful skills willingly! Thank you so much Shibasaki Sensei
Hello again, this video was really nice as always! I finished my first painting and it turned out fine! I feel like I could have done more but I am happy I got it done. It is really helpful watching a video like this. Thank you once again for a good video!
The feathers certainly do look like horns or ears! Owl ears are actually off symmetry, one being higher on the skull and the other being lower! Oh and their eyes can’t rotate in their sockets so they’ve got that neat head rotation! The dark shadow honestly frightened me a bit but it turns out really well so thanks for showing that! The owl looks so fluffy with those feathers
Birds are my favourite subjects to paint. They're a challenge and there are so many ways to represent them! I loved this tutorial, and the way you create a texture without being ultra realistic. I prefer that style... but it scares me! I'll give it a try for sure. Take good care and, as always, it's a privilege and a pleasure to learn from you. Best wishes from Montreal.
This looks amazing! I love youre videos. There are so peacefull and relaxant,i like to watch them. I even tried to recreate it,but it din not turned out as well as yours. You are realy talented. Please do not stop!🙂💕
This "grand duke" has an imposing look and presence, its colourful and light plumage and its hypnotic look express a beautiful energy. A surprise watercolour. Thank you Mr Shibasaki🗻♥️♥️🎁👩🎨
Shibasaki san, you are a Master! I just sketched a bird and i have to paint it now. Watched couple of your videos to get the technique but you make it look so easy than it is. Lots of love and respect! Wish i was a real life student of yours.
@@WatercolorbyShibasaki dear Shibasaki San, i tried to make this owl. Its no where near as good as yours. But I tried and I enjoyed it. A lot. I wish i could send its picture to you. Any advice to better myself would mean a world to me. I found an email on your insta page. I hope you won’t mind me emailing you.
What a beautiful Eagle Owl !!! ... there is a compatriot channel of his that I usually see that the young owner of the channel has a beautiful owl like this one that you have portrayed here ... this owl is called Garu and he is very nice beautiful and loving ... Thank you dear Professor Shibasaki for sharing this beautiful portrait of an eagle owl as beautiful as Garu himself who were also born in your beautiful Japan :-)
Wow.. this is a rough one for me for sure. But I've tried it twice now and it looks much better on the second attempt I just did than it looked on my first one :) It sure is weird trying to paint while being colorblind.. and I am also more of a musical person. But I wanna get into watercolors and art in general too! I also wonder (maybe someone in the comment sections knows it too), my paint is always either too thin or too thick and this causes me to make a lot of mistakes and often my paint is runny, even with a completely dried paper D: Maybe these errors will become less with more experience.. the next thing on my list is trying to draw plants because it seems more forgiving (have been following some flower 5 min tutorials with much more success!) and I also wanna do a whole landscape one day :) Thanks for all the inspirations. It is very refreshing to get out of my comfort zone to try new things and for me it is not about creating something perfect, but about finishing any drawing from start to finish, no matter how it goes.
He's a good birb.
I love owls. Your tip about shading more intensely than we think we should really helps in a lot of art forms as well!
Painting owl is COOL! 👍
