At random times I happen to see you have uploaded a new video and it is the first thing I watch during the day. Keep your spirits up, at least once you take the vessel to sea you will know every nook and cranny of your good work will hold to the wind.-
The quality of your refit should put the manufacturer to shame. Excellent work and you will end up with a very good boat that will not be easily replaceable. Best whishes for your endeavor.
Good to see you back. The infusion job was pretty ambitious for the first try. The boat is going to be amazing. I also bought 70's Enderlein (HR352) last autumn. It was 'cheap' and in very original condition. It's a true Schrödinger's boat. Everything is fine and OK until you start digging. All the good stuff: sunken mast step, rudder issues, keel damage, wet deck, rotten plywood under genoa tracks, rotten teak under steering pedestal, possible issues with compression post, half of the stanchion post bases have cracked, tanks have never been cleaned, and I think there were someone's ashes in a jar.
Thanks very much for the update! You may not have many viewers but we are loyal and are very glad to see new videos! Your work looks good and will make the boat much better over time. Yes, every boat renovation is just one problem discovered leading to two or more problems added to the list. Kind regards.
Great to see you and the boat back on here. Your perseverance with this project will pay you back many times over - she's going to be a great boat for sure.
You did an absolute fine job to lay the basement of your boat. She will be rock solid in rough waters and you will always trust your boat. That is worth the effort! Many greetings
She was a beautiful boat, and I am so glad to see the care over detail you take with her. It will all be worth it as soon as you open up the sail into a good steady breeze and let her go on a broad reach....
You’re running an awesome channel with fantastic content, can’t wait to see her progress through the refit hopefully we can come along on your summer cruise this year again 👍
Hey, I remember seeing this when you first published the video and being appalled by the misalignment of the mast step. Now that I am myself going about refitting a small sailboat I found something similar and was shocked at first… but since I don’t have a laser I took to other measures, literally. I found out that the boat is not exactly symmetrical which isn’t surprising since it has been laminated by hand in the 70’s. So I checked the first that it was misaligned with the keelbolts and the rudderstock and the bow and started to feel bad. Then I realized that the boat must be looked at from outside too. So I set up some reference points and looked at it from stern to bow through the referenced centerline from tiller to center of hatch to mast hole thru a track that is in the centre of the deck on this boat and to the bow. Lo and behold it was all quite neatly aligned, although if I focussed on it from inside it was not. I don’t know what this means per se, I am relieved I found alignment somehow and can go on without moving the maststep. Remember to check thoroughly how you put it back because the hole in the cabin top might just be right where the mast step was on your boat earlier. Obviously the job was good to get redone in yours and you did a brilliant job so far. I’d be happy to talk more about boat refitting if I’m ever in Estonia. Terveisiä Suomesta ;)
Glad to see you back ... i was worried that you had given up on the project!! Sorry to see that you found all of these hidden problems, but you appear to be making good progress on fixing the issues. All the work will pay off in the end ... just keep your head down and struggle through it!!
Thank you for the enormous amount of good tips you are giving to all us, sailors and boat passioned. I own the same boat as you, OE36 Crown, and i live on it since 5 months. Go ahead, the results will arrive soon! (feel free to write me in pvt if you have this option, would be nice to exchange some infos about the boats. To be honest, i think you have much more infos than me, but maybe you can have some curiosity of another OE36 construction)
I have been waiting and now it came. Good job as always which will be paid back to you once you are sailing her again. I would like to do the same thing as you but first I am a lot older than you and it is to late for me. Seacond you must have a wonderful family letting you do this which take so much time from other family duties. I must congratulate you for such a family. Mine would not let me. So now it is just to waith for the next video from you. I can see that you have a lot of interesting jobs infront of you and it is very interesting to see how you fix all details and problems. I am sure that your OE36 will be one of the best of the reminding. Thanks for sharing all your work with us. All the best from me.
Good to see you back, it really made my day.
Thank you :)

Ashes in the jar, oh my god :D Good luck taking care of your HR352, a very solid cruiser by design!

Note: my Maststep is right on top oh the keel between two keelbolts, just a centimeter on center which bugged me a while
Keep it up! You are doing a great job and she will be an awesome boat when you get her back in
Thanks, I hope she will!
Good work. Thank you.

Thanks! I've not given up so far. The biggest struggle is to find time for recording the proccess, editing etc..

Thanks for the kind words! Yes, I do have a wonderful and understanding family. Would not be possible to do what I do otherwise. All the best to you!
Great work keep the faith.
Thanks!
Nice work👍
Thanks!
The glass work like all the rest is looking great, are you wet layering and then vacuuming bagging it all?
The mast base was laid dry. Then the bag was built around the dry layers of fabric. Epoxy resin was sucked into the fabric by the vacuum pump.
She’s a port tacker as we used to say
port tacker is a new term for me but I guess I got the point :)
Oh dear, poorly built boat. All the stuff you have to fix. Your doing a great job though.
