Do you need to share Live Track with someone else or can be monitored over your own account as well? And does it show the planned route if there exists any (e.g. route created and being used in the session)? I ask those as I plan to buy a Forerunner Watch but eager to use for my bike rides as well. I do wonder if I check all my route and course details in my phone during the ride or not.
Great Vid and very helpful. Couple of Q’s- was your GF looking at live tracking as you had pacepro going and did it come up as a normal activity.
Yes and yes. It showed up as a "race" still an activity. I set 12 or 16 weeks in advance under the race calendar widget what I was training for. This gives you update on the conditions like weather and start time.
Hi, great video… I just have a question, to be able to use the livetrack tool do you need to have your phone with you? thank you!
Yes! you are going to need to have your mobile in Bluetooth range. Great question Nestor!
I just picked up a Garmin 945lte and live track isn't working. Do you have a trouble shooting video for this? Do you use the Garmin 945 lte with live track without a phone?
What Garmin do you recommend for beginner runners? Thank you!
I would check out the new ones that came out this month. 42mm Forerunner 265S and a 46mm Forerunner 265. Such a great watch for the price.
I plan on using LiveTrack on my next race and I was wondering, did you have to carry your smartphone with you? If so, I don't really see the benefit of using LiveTrack, versus sharing location with other apps. Thank you!
Yes. Livetrack requires a phone. It shares more than just the location. Basically your entire data screens. My gf enjoys it rather using find my iPhone. She can see my pace, hearts rate, etc.. if I’m slowing down and a lot more. Kind of gamifies it in a sense.
Good luck on your next race 🙌
Do you wear and Apple Watch and & Epix?
I wear them both for training. I really like the AW ultra cell features. great as a phone on my wrist and my entire music library.
@@Aesthetic_Al I have an Epix 2 and have come from Apple AW and have the eco system, MacBook Pro, iPad, AppleTv and iPhone. The Epix 2 is such a great bit of kit for training but I do miss AW functionality also only use Epix 2 for cardio not lifting. At the same time? What is your day to day the AW? The cell on the wrist worries me with the radiation.
