Hi Kjersti, I don't know if you'll see this or if it's been mentioned, but I have a possible theory as to Blake's hostility towards you, that is, you looked like an un-pregnant version of her. I know that I myself find it jarring when I encounter women who look very similar to me. Also, we heard her complaining about being particularly large with that pregnancy. I realise it seems like a silly theory, but her response to you was SO immediate and visceral that I think there may be something to it. Anyway, cheers!

@@jennareynolds9887 I don’t know. He recently uploaded the same trick on FB and it was more improvised and he wrote the celebrity name on the back of a big envelope that he grabbed . And when the person named the celebrity (Tom cruise) he very slowly turned it over. There’s a 0% chance he could have done any sleight of hand. Same trick. I’ve watched a lot of his sleight of hand explanations and there’s no way that coulda been sleight of hand. And even if it was, he would still have to know the celebrity at some point; which he can’t.

Not only was Blake very far along in her pregnancy so calling her bump "little" is a compliment, but Blake's done multiple staged media stories with photo shoots for the wardrobe(s)she wore for all or most of of her pregnancies. They all show off her pregnancy "bump" and her "fashion sense." The orange dress she's wearing in the interview with Kjersti is featured prominently in one of those shoots with Blake's own commentary on it! Blake certainly knew she was wearing a very fitted dress to the interview that prominently showed off her pregnancy. But...she doesn't want anyone to bring it up!?! She looked beautiful and her outfit was beautiful. She was certainly not trying to cover it up or lay low on the subject, just the opposite.
I think Blake isn't in the happiest of marriages. Ryan is more traditional than she is and he wanted a son. She obliged him, but was feeling resentment and resentful of having to do so for him. Pregnancy is a time when a woman doesn't have their body to themselves and that's a lot to deal with and some women have a harder time with it than others.
Also the interviewer is naturally more nurturing than Blake is so Blake was feeling threatened as well because here's a woman who's naturally soft and Blake isn't.

@@Sarah-with-an-HI think she sensed her sensitive nature and pounced. She thought she was weak (she isn’t, she’s kind) and revealed a really nasty part of her pattern/perspective.

I dont think little bump was considerd a compliment for blake, in other inteviews she said big belly and she had gone big. And for many people a small Bump or a little bump implys a small almost sick kid, or a mother not eating or vanity. A big belly then reprisent health. And a big baby that will survive.
It's honestly so disappointing but I guess unsurprising that Blake Lively (and/or Parker Posey) hasn't reached out to apologize for her rude behavior. Even privately.
So wonderful seeing Spidey here. He's such a joy to watch.

all this time, since the interview blew up, I was surprised at how little people bring up Parker Posey's role in all of this. watching the interview the first few times I thought she was even worse than Blake in her behavior, all culminating in the eye roll at the end. Like wt ...?

My 2 cents: you are a natural beauty and Blake is a very nice looking individual who needs to up her game to get to your natural level. I surmise Blake took one look at you, knew she wouldn't be the visual star and immediately decided to denigrate you. As a woman, it pains me to think this way - but as they say, I can't unsee it!

I remember once having a psychology professor who did a similar test on us. After landing, correctly, on 4 as most of our choices, He revealed that if it's a choice of a number from 1 to 10, about 85% of the time it's going to be 4. So interesting to think About, in that context, how different we are as individuals and yet how alike our behaviors can be.
It seems like we should be more unified after thAt thought, doesn't it?

Same. I have little tolerance for mean nonsense, and fear I would lack the commitment to professionalism. Even worse, I would not walk out; I know I would ask, “are you always this rude, or is today a special day?”. I know this because I have done it. 😖
What triggered it is this is how Blake Lively consistently deals with people to one degree or another. She repeatedly creates negative situations with people over the years and she's looking for trouble. She's rude and she does indeed try to put people on the spot and control people, she's stuck on herself and she thinks she's funny when nobody else does.
She's not a likeable person. She's known for not getting along with a lot of the other actors she works with and being jealous of her costars.

I think Blake was mad at you because your comment reduced her to just being a mother. She was furious at you for not recognizing then and there that she was a powerful producer, actress and business woman.
She teamed with her flying monkey, Parker Posey, to harass you while you were trying to do your job.
I think she is still mad. She will never apologize to you! I bet her people had to silence her.

The interaction seems immediately recognizable as mean girl behavior. I think girls are hyper aware of this type of bullying. Girl warfare is subtle and cruel. It’s jarring to see it between adults.

I enjoyed this so much. I also wanted to point out than I’m autistic and I commonly use a lot of self soothing behaviors but it’s never bc I’m lying bc I rarely lie. Don’t forget to get a baseline!!!
Yes! With Autism, as you know, its called “stimming,” and it’s self soothing but happens a lot more often and the key thing is we can never ever assume that a specific topic is causing it, it could very well be the conversation itself for no apparent or obvious reason. Baseline baseline baseline!!!

I think what set Blake off was “bump” and that she was hormonal from being pregnant. I would have been put off if someone said bump to me, too. It’s sort of a rude word to some people, and is almost condescending. It has nothing to do with whether Blake wanted to talk about her pregnancy or not. It was that the interviewer used that word, specifically, which made the interviewer come across as condescending. Having said that, Blake was, indeed, rude to the interviewer after that and shouldn’t have been. But if you are pregnant and hormonal, saying a rude word like a bump to a pregnant hormonal woman can set them off. PSA: don’t use the word “bump” to a pregnant woman. 😂
Kjersti, it will give you a lot of power in your career if you become known as the interviewer who critiques the interview and your interviewee after the fact (with or without Spidey at times).
When celebrities know they may be judged in the cold light of day this way, let's hope they will behave and, even more, act like genuine human beings instead of entitled, narcissistic, bullying brats. You got the power! And so do all of us who watch and comment on YT. 😊

When using empathy people unconsciously mirror the behavior and energy of the person we are empathizing with.
Spidey’s observations are always fascinating and objective but I love how he is clearly on Kjersti’s side regarding this interview. K seems like such a sweet person so the obvious meanness towards her was hard to watch. The way she says, “I would!” when the bitchy comment about asking the men the question about clothes comes made me feel so sad for her but she handled them with aplomb and grace. I was a BL fan until this came to light.

Eyebrows are so important in ASL
I couldn't tell if Parker Posey's comments towards you were passive-aggressive or her way of extending an olive branch to get you back into the conversation due to Blake's complete disregard of your existence.
It was one of the weirdest things I've ever seen in a professional interview to see Blake trying to shut out the interviewer and just have her own private conversation with Parker while they talk over each other and rant about nonsense.
I perceived it as an olive branch at first, but then her eye roll in the end…. Yeah, no. She was definitely being passive-aggressive, I think.
@@johngleue My first thought was that she was trying to bring it back on track, but overall, she participated in making this interview a train wreck. Blake seemed like the ringleader. Her behavior was blatantly rude, and since I can’t tell if Parker was in an uncomfortable situation that she didn’t know how to get out of, I tend to want to give her the benefit of the doubt.
