Awesome race! I swear, the one thing that annoys me a lot about 2048 is the rubber-banding. I've seen very skilled runs like this and even though you're really fast you're barely able to build up a comfortable lead. It doesn't make sense, since it's possible to get to first place within the first one or two laps, but even if you keep up that pace, you'll never get away from the pack. I've found that very annoying, especially when I've managed to keep first place until the last lap, do some mistake and end up nearly at the end of the pack. Those moments have been the ones that turned "challenging" into "more than slightly unfair" for me. PS: Don't get me wrong, I love this game. It's just something that I noticed and that put me off a bit.

After a while, I improved a lot and managed to shave off like 5+ secs and now I'm finishing 5th/6th. AI is always 3 secs in front of me no matter what I do. I get the idea of rubber-banding in a casual game but in a game like Wipeout where you want to become better it's just frustrating because no matter what you do, you barely see any progress.

Depends on his own preference, I guess. But the FEISAR craft in 2048 tend to be the template on which the other craft do their own thing. AG Systems are pure racing craft, with lightweight, agile chassis. The AG Systems Speed is built for the pilot who eschews offensive weapons to beat their opponents in a fair race. So basically Wolfgang Van Uber
The different teams have different voices, kinda like the different AI voices in Titanfall. So AG Systems has a Japanese lady, Qirex has a beefy Russian dude, Feisar has a British guy, etc.
interesting, i didn't pay a lot of attention to audio so far, i mostly play with volume down. but then again, it seems there is wipeout HD accouncer for defensive weaponry. that's pretty odd. actually it sounds rather randomized, not that i've rewatched it, unless there is separate announcer for weapon pickup and weapon warning.
that's actually something I'm curious about... why have two separate announcers for the main lines, one for stuff like "Final Lap", "Contender Eliminated", and so on, with the other just for incoming weapons...? granted, I can barely make it out when the former announcer actually says "Contender Eliminated", but it feels kinda shoehorned... one would think the option to change announcers would be possible... is there?
I think the "Final Lap" and "Contender Eliminated" guy is meant to be an announcer for the race, like I imagine the spectators can hear him, too. Whereas the incoming weapons lady is an on-board voice for your craft. It'd be confusing to have the same voice actor say the exact same line when a weapon is incoming as when a weapon is picked up, so there is an AI voice for what you pick up, and a different AI voice for what's incoming. Then the announcer is like a commentator for the race, so three total. AFAIK there's no way to change voices, but I do believe you can turn them off altogether. Probably not what you want, though.
+HellfireWZ It's always great watching you play Wipeout; I discovered your channel when I had to Beat Zico. I was wondering, have you looked into Redout on PC? I would love to see your skills in action there too.
Subway, Sol, and Altima were by far the easiest to Elite Pass on A+ Challenge. At least for me it was. Got my platinum trophy a week after the game hit the shelves. Awesome run nonetheless.

Nicholas Emanuel Wheeler in my opinion, empire climb was pretty easy once I tried it, I do agree with your opinion too
Nicholas Emanuel Wheeler on the vita subway gave me the most trouble but I'm finding the track a lot easier in the remaster for whatever reason
