I don't know if someone has already written this comment but the reason the canon 100 is more expensive is because there is chrome in the ink. This means the print will last for around 80-100 years. The mg6800 does not have chrome wich is fine as long as its not exposed to heavy sunlight - so if a customer would put the print on a wall were the sun hits a lot your print will disappear in a few years. I guess u could get a problem longer down the line. I would definitely use the expensive printer for anything to sell.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING THIS VIDEO! I've been watching videos about starting an online store all day. I was also hoping you'd post another video soon! Your vlogs are so inspiring and your products are all so wonderful. I always look forward to ordering from your online store. Thanks so so much!
The reason I haven't really started my own online store is because I did not know a lot of this information, like places I could get my designs printed and whatnot, and I had been just getting frustrated because I had no idea where to even start looking. I would try and then just couldn't find anything. I also just didn't feel comfortable asking other artists because I don't want them to think I'm trying to take ideas or mooch off them somehow. But this was so helpful!! You are great, thank you so much for sharing!!
I'm working on my online store for the holidays- didn't want to just listen and take advice without saying a HUGE thank you!! This is very generous of you to take the time and give advice and suppliers when you had to go through so much trial and error yourself. It's SO appreciated.. Thank you!!!!
💖 Thank you so much for doing this series! 💖 It's so hard to find this kind of information openly as people tend to be quite secretive about it or just share very basic information (no mention of actual companies etc). I'm looking forward to hearing about all of your process and what you've found helpful, I'm sure it will help so many other artists who are struggling to find their way (and let's be honest - not many artists have money to throw at this sort of thing and figure it out themselves). I'd also love to know what your experience is (if you have any) with on-demand printing stores, like Redbubble, Society6 etc. I don't have much-if any budget right now to invest in prints and merch, so I wonder if those type of shops are better, my only issue is that I would want to order 1 of every product I put up in my shop as a quality test, so I've been trying to research what the quality is like in advance and whether or not it would be worth it since I'd still need to invest on the quality testing anyway. Would love to hear your thoughts :) Thanks again for being so generous in sharing your experiences 😍
This video is so convenient. Personally, I make my own sketchbook bc they feel personal and I don't trust the quality of paper in manufactured books. I also did screen printing and embroidery for a few years and it was really fun and it felt hearty. Not to say that if you don't make things by hand, it's not personal. omg, you are an angel for posting this. Many people don't say how they start, what they use, what they trust and all that stuff. I am a struggling college student, and my art is the only thing that I can think of that could help me with money since it's very difficult to get a decent part-time job around where I live. So thank you so much for this. 💖 I am definitely subscribing to you, and btw your art is absolutely stunning.
Awesome video! I am also a StickerApp addict, they're sooo good! I use Redbubble and Society6 for merch, Redbubble is easy for me to use but is hard for customers to navigate, and Society6 is a bit harder to use but easier on customers..haha. I've been using Redbubble for about 2 years now, I love everything except the stickers. I have ordered a scarf, hoodies, dresses, coffee mugs, t-shirts, pencil pouches, notebooks, and tote bags, and they were all better than expected! I always order prints locally because I only do a little at a time. OH! I use Vistaprint for my business cards because of the discounts they offer and the fast turnaround. Thanks for sharing!!
I am so thankfull as an beginner artist that you are sharing these things! It can be hard sometimes to know where to begin when you want to make prints or even an online store. And like you said not everyone wants to share there secrets. That's why I'm so thankfull that you are sharing these tips and reccomendations to help other artists out!
I am so grateful for this video! This period of time I searched a lot about starting an online shop, stickers, shipping and so on. I'm preparing to start something, and believe me, what you did today was helpful and super motivating. I can't wait the rest of the parts. Thank you once again! 😙💚💙
I'm fairly new to your channel, but I have to say I just love your sit-down and talk videos! You're just so calm and awesome, and extremely helpful. Thank you for taking the time to help out other people!
Thank you so much for this valuable resource! You are truly very kind and generous for making this info available for free. I love your art and you continue to show yourself as just an awesome person too! Again, thanks!!
Thank you so much for sharing this information. As someone who is going to be setting up an online shop for the first time, I have spent so much time trying to find printing companies and suppliers. How I wish I'd found you and your channel sooner! Thank you! x
Thank you so much for making this video, Ive been doing lots of research about how to start my own store and make my own products its been full of trails and errors and its really nerve racking, so this video really inspired me and helped me feel more confident.
i really really appreciate you doing this video! I've had followers ask for prints and i don't have a printer, but want to buy one and i was looking into places i could get prints from! One of my popular requested illustration series has gold washi tape and i was getting frustrated with not finding printing services that offered gold foil. Thank you so much!!
Thank you so much for sharing!! I've done research on all this and it's so hard to know what sites are reputable until you find someone who has used them. Thank you for the hard work you put in and for passing along these tips for us beginners!! You are awesome!!✌🏻
Wanting to start out in prints, so this video is incredibly helpful! Been such a huge fan of you and you art for sooooo long so to get your recommends on this topic is AMAZING!! Thank you so much!
Thank you for this video!!! I was thisclose last night to just give up on art out of frustration and this was the first thing I saw this morning! I'm super inspired and grateful for this! I'm looking forward to the rest of the videos!!!
AHHHH!! so excited that you of all people made a series on this! I've been following you for a while, binging on your art on IG. I'm starting to get a feel for the type of art I want to create for a shop and I'm so so happy I've found this gold mine. Thank you!!
Thank you SO MUCH!! As others have said, I've researched myself and not found anything that would work for me, and now I've discovered awesome merchandise, which is based in my local city!! :O I had no idea it existed, so thanks so much. Looking forward to the rest of the series!
We used Sticker Mule for some work logo stickers to take to a conference. We got the vinyl matt die-cut ones. They’re a bit thicker than standard stickers which makes them nice and robust. They don’t scratch away or get damaged the way paper-based ones would. I’ve not compared them to the thinner vinyl ones though. Their customer service was great and delivery was very quick (I’m in the UK).
Some great information here! Thanks so much for sharing, especially the different sites and things you've learnt along the way. My goal is to set up my own shop over the summer, I can't wait to see the rest of the videos in this series! 😄
THANK YOU!!❤ Most artist only recommend the most expensive stuff, stuff most of the beginners will not have the money for. You understand that we may not have the money and assure us it's okay to start with cheaper materials😘 thank you so much!
this series is gonna be SO GOOD!! I've always had questions about this but never dared to ask and this is super helpful especially from an artist that has done so much research and has so good quality merchandise!
Jacquelin!!! O.M.G!!! You’re seriously the best for this!! 💕✨🙊Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with all of us so openly! I can’t wait for the next video. I’ve loved your art for quite some time now, and I’m really wanting to give back to you since you’ve provided such valuable info! 🦋🌸✨🌈So, I think I’ll buy a print from your shop as soon as possible. I’ve been wondering what companies artists use. I currently use society6 for prints, but I hope that one day I can switch to something where I have more control over the process. 💚🌷Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH! You rock!😱
Thank you so much for making this series! I am in the early stages of making my own shop; I've been looking online and comparing prices and stuff but it's just been difficult to make decisions. This helped me so much and gave me a lot to think about! Also gave me ideas on how I can do things more ethically. I love your work so much. You are such a kind & beautiful person.
Thank you for all these tips and pointers! I know a lot of people do a lot of research and trial/error to get their shops up and running smoothly. Its really cool that you would offer your own experiences and places you use for your shop. I've been interested in opening a shop for my art work and honestly didn't know where to start when it came to things besides art prints. I was thinking of first starting by using one of those print on demand sites though. Maybe do a shop that has limited edition prints and hand embellished and originals! I really appreciate you taking the time to do this video!
I kept saying I love u thru out the entire video, this is really really really helpful and I'm literally tearing up! I've been wanting to make my art merch for soooo long and this is absolutely awesome!!!! Thank u soooo much!!!
Thank you so much for this video. I’ve been trying to figure out stickers and pins for quite a while as I was not getting consistent DIY results. Excellent resources!
I want to say thank you SO much for all the tips , I've been thinking about starting my own online store and didn't know how to go about it so thank you so much
This video helped me SO MUCH!!! I’m still in high school and I’ve been wanting to start the process of selling products online but I’ve not seen a lot of resources on how to start, so this is really amazing to see (especially from an artist I love so much. I LOVE YOUR WORK btw. You’re an amazing creator.) I’ll look forward to the next video! Thanks again!
Thank you so much for doing this! I been wanting to sell my art online but I didn't know where to go to make prints and what printer to use at home. Thank you for this information and recommendations. You are the best. 💖
This is so helpful!! Thank you so much for this video 😄 I’m getting my feet wet into this kind of business and now I know what to look for when I’m ready to print my designs 💕
Thank you so much for this video. I’ve been literally researching for the longest while to find a place for prints and stickers to add to my shop. So stressful.
I don’t know what I want to do yet. But this video have given me a lot of insight and things to think about. Thank you so much for making this video and can’t wait to see the rest of the series ❤️
Hi Jacqueline thanks so much for taking the time to share this I appreciate it so much! I’ve loved your work for a long time now and just wanted you to know how much you inspire me! :) keep it up, With love from Australia :)
This video will really help me for the future! Btw I hope I can get my hands on some of your art. Your art is sooooo gorgeous I would love to have a print! Keep working hard! Happy Easter Sunday 🐰🐣❤
Thank you so much. For some reason, I didn’t think about international printshop. I looked for a place to get stickers printed on German sites and thes were ridiculously expensive 😅 sooo I decided to print them myself. Cutting them all by hand isn’t fun!
I appreciate your hard work so much! And thank you for sharing the world your advice and tips it’s greatly appreciated 💕 I hope you continue doing well thank you 🤗
Thank you so much for sharing this great information. I’m just starting out on the road to selling my art and you gave me a lot of great ideas. You rock!
Great Info here!!! Just caught up on your latest videos and during your last one you mentioned you'd be at SVCC this weekend!! That's awesome! I'll be tabling there this weekend too! Hope to meet you in person and snag a few prints! Been a long time fan of you and your work :)
Hi Jackie! Thanks a lot for sharing that valuable information. I know how crazy searching for the perfect service or product can be. Kisses from Miami!
Thank you soooo much! When looking for ways to sell my art too many times I've been looking at the easiest ways such as platforms like Redbubble which can be great, but I really should have been looking at not so easy but in the end more profitable answers like printing and selling myself. Thanks for sharing all your hard earned information really appreciate it!
This is crazy that you made this vid! I’ve been hurting my head for months on the how to’s, where to’s and more often the whaaaaa?? I’ve done so much research but I over complicate things and just give up. Thank you for the all the site recommendations, I trust them more when other artists have said they’ve used them too. I have a question: I know you’ve posted a vid explaining how you scan your own prints and clean up in photoshop. Currently I have a laptop, found GIMP to use as an alternative (bc I don’t even know how to use these programs so I might as well self teach on a free program -_-) and I have canson pixma mg3220 inkjet. Just in your honest opinion do you think I can do my own good quality print with what I’ve got? My printer doesn’t have all those extra settings to make sure I’m using the right color settings for prints. Any type of reply from you would be so helpful. You’re one of my top fav artists i aspire to be like. I follow you on every platform you have, and when I can finally work (pending immigrant in the Us - ayyy!) I can’t wait to fill my online shopping cart of all your stuff Lol
How often do you restock? I LOVE your harvest witch sticker and would like to buy it when it’s available again. Also thank you so much for the video. I’ve been told to just sell my art on Deviant Art but I’ve heard bad stories about that too. This was really so helpful. You’re awesome! ❤️
This is a very sweet video, thank you so much for sharing what you use/recommend/researched. Your whole video series actually timed out extremely well for myself as I've been contemplating creating an online store recently. Super grateful and this vid is perfect to start experimenting and researching myself for good merch! Thank you again and sending lots of love!! (Also, I've printed stickers from Zap before and I wonder if you have/what you think of them compared to the website you currently use?? I'm definitly interested in sending some sticker designs their way...)
can you do a video on how to protect your images online?? or if you even bother trying to? I feel like this prevents me from actually doing anything cause I don't know what to do. Please and thankyou!!
For the most part these printing companies are very trustworthy, since it's their business on the line. When it comes to dealing with business in other countries, that's where it gets tricky, and I would avoid it. I am planning on doing a video about art theft and posting work online. Technically when you post something online it automatically gets a sort of copyright, but it's still really difficult to take legal action and usually not worth it. A lot of websites have an option to report and have stolen content taken down. It shouldn't be something that stops you from posting your work, sharing your work is super important to building a freelance career. I like to sign my work in two places, one obvious place and one hidden place, that way if someone reposts you can point it out, you can also use watermarks if they don't bother you. I hope that helps!
Thank you thank you thank you I just been I've been asking these questions other artists and no one no one has come up with answers are good explanations of where I should go and as an artist I don't have any resources around me and this was very helpful thank you
This is so freaky! I literally just set up my Society6 account to sell and my PayPal and was just going to kind of wing it the best I could, but you're helping me so much rn! Thank you!
I really appreciate that you're doing these videos so much! I was just on your channel the other day and I was like, when is she going to post another... And then you did it was something I really needed! I love you videos! Keep up the good work and thank you so much!
The timing on this is perfect! Thank you for sharing so much wonderful info! In the future videos, could you cover how you choose what goes into the store, if you recommend a theme etc? I have a very eclectic mix of subjects and styles. Any input you may have on making that cohesive in a shop would be awesome. Thanks again!
Hi, I just found this video cause I’ve been thinking of building an art business where I can share my art and this video is really helpful and so good. I can tell you’re such a nice person especially by sharing all this knowledge on building an online store. Just wanted to say keep doing you, and hope everything is doing great! You’ve got a new sub here 💕
I don't know if someone has already written this comment but the reason the canon 100 is more expensive is because there is chrome in the ink.

People appreciate it when you sign your items or leave a little note.
Thank you!
OMG I BEEN LOOKIN FOR A VIDEO LIKE THIS SINCE FOREVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!
the last, maybe three, times you've uploaded you did it while I was in the middle of painting my nails and it's a blessing honestly. very soothing 👏

I randomly clicked this video but I was in for a shock XD I recognize your work!! What a pleasant surprise :)
Vistaprint is a big one, it's a good resource for making a logo or cards packaging and of course prints.
Thank you for sharing your tips. Great video.
OH MY GOSH THANKYOU!!!! you're the best, all of this stuff is so important and hard to find info on.
Brother printers are really good but I agree stay away from HP
Wow this helps SO MUCH! I’m a college student and I’ve just been thinking of doing commissions but didn’t know where to start! Thank you so much!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! This is such a helpful series. ❤
Thank you so much for creating this video!!!! This has been a life saver for me!!!!!!!
I always thought that laser was higher quality than inkjet :o guess im not switching out my inkjet then.
Ahh I’m
So early this is so cool I love ur videos! Liked before I watched
How often do you restock? I LOVE your harvest witch sticker and would like to buy it when it’s available again. Also thank you so much for the video. I’ve been told to just sell my art on Deviant Art but I’ve heard bad stories about that too. This was really so helpful. You’re awesome! ❤️
Update: bought! Thanks for restocking them!
Thank you so much for the info Jacquie!! I've been needing this 💖💕
I really need this thank you so much for taking the time to make this video!💖
can you do a video on how to protect your images online?? or if you even bother trying to? I feel like this prevents me from actually doing anything cause I don't know what to do. Please and thankyou!!
Including when you send them out to printing companies in other places... do you worry about someone copying your stuff and selling it?
Sooo helpful! Seriously thank you so much for this video
Thank you thank you thank you I just been I've been asking these questions other artists and no one no one has come up with answers are good explanations of where I should go and as an artist I don't have any resources around me and this was very helpful thank you

In the future videos, could you cover how you choose what goes into the store, if you recommend a theme etc? I have a very eclectic mix of subjects and styles. Any input you may have on making that cohesive in a shop would be awesome. Thanks again!
