What a great time Brad and such nice people you get to detect with. The camaraderie between metal detectorists is a fine example of how to treat people.
Thank you Jason for inviting me on your journeys ! I just love everyone of them so much . And done so professionally , I can't believe ! This is like watching a movie & wondering what's going to happen next ! LOL !! Life & history are so suspenseful & you do it perfectly and professionally . I'm 75 yrs . Old and a Veteran of Vietnam . I have a White metal detector , And have it for years . But I've (never ) found anything but bottle caps & aluminum cans . Keep doing what your doing ( please ) !! Again thank you & GOD BLESS ! Always watching YOU , Kenny ; Ocala , Florida .
I really appreciate to see such an honest and humble gratefulness from your side towards the 2 inviting you and i like your calm and collected attitude towards this hobby.
I would guess a gathering place of some kind. Maybe church or place for events. People wore buttons all over their clothes back then. So they fell off alot.
I live in South Texas and there is not much history around here except cactus and mesquite. I have always enjoyed watching your videos Brad, they get your attention. I sit here and watch with awe as you pull coin after coin from the 1700's and 1800's!! Amazing finds and artifacts, just shaking my head saying WOW!! I have been detecting for close to 40 yrs and have never found a land coin in the 1700's, I have found a Spanish old world Silver 8 Reales COB couldn't verify date but pre 1621. Philip II or III, but never an old land coin under 1800. Good hunt day for you guys, nice honey hole!! In my opinion it looks like a stage stop or tavern was there, I have detected stage stops down here and lots of early 1800's coins and buttons. Excellent Brad, take care and see you on the next hunt
Helllo Brad. Congrats for this nice addition to your collection. Your bucket list coin form New-Jersey is dated from the same year as my house, as engraved on the stone above my main entry door. In 1786, France was still a monarchy under the reign of Louis the 16th (beheaded in 1793) represented on the french coin found by one of your hosts. Through my house, this long past history is not so far away from me.
About 35 years ago I was detecting an old home site on a hilltop. After finding dozens of 1800's coins that could not have been dropped by the family, turns out there was a carnival there at some point.
Congratulations on the Jersey! We would love to see your state coppers together when you complete the collection. Your soil is kind for sure. Keep up the good work. Congrats to Tom and Phil as well. Hope to see more from those guys
Like many other comments are saying, I would like to think that this location must have been where a trading post, tavern, or even a lodge, maybe all three where located. Such a large variety of treasures for you all to find, especially with the different coins and buttons. It would seem odd for just a single family structure, because they would have been a very careless to have lost so much.
I would agree on perhaps a tavern….Too drunk to even care about belongings, stumbling out of the place, getting into fistfights ripping each other’s clothes and I can go on and on….Take care! Greetings from Canada 😉👋🏼🇨🇦
@McChrister I didn't even consider that with a tavern. Some of the patrons would have been too drunk to care or notice they lost anything. Throw in some fighting it out, money would be lost, and their clothing torn.
@@johnnydoe66 Ikr! Just thought about a bunch of drunks on how they behave in taverns…They do still exist in Canada and are usually visited by Low-Lifes! LoL😂👋🏼🇨🇦
Brad glad you are back to speed and healthy again, finding Roman’s is fun but nothing like our own American history . I enjoyed this almost as much as you. Thanks
Awesome video and finds! It’s so exciting to see relics like that coming out of the ground with modern houses and vehicles in the background!! A great hobby for sure!
There must have been some kind of annual fair or farmers markets where many people gathered because the coins are from different times and there are so many! That first song sounded new ! Nice catchy tune !
Here in the middle of Michigan if you see a hill like that in the middle of a field or in the woods it is very often an Indian burial mound. There is a farm nearby with a big mound in the middle of the field and the kids in this area used to go out there right after the farmer plowed looking for arrow heads that had been unearthed.
I subbed, this guy seems cool. A lot of kids grow up with an idea of wanting to become a treasure hunter and many of those kids myself included don’t grow out of it.
This one gave me goosebumps, I couldn't imagine being at that good of a site! Definitely makes the mind reel to try to figure out what went on at that site in the past.
Man oh man ohhhhh man!!! What a dream day!!! I just completed an overnight hunt with high expectations and came back with 74 clad coins, and one wheat cent 😢. What it must be like to pull that kind of history from the dirt?! Awesome to live the adventure through my laptop - thanks for all you do for the hobby Brad.
Another awesome video Brad. Really liked all those cool coins and buttons, shoe buckle. Congrats for finding the Connecticut copper & the New Jersey state copper. 0:35
Oh my gosh guys! This has been amazing, I love watching videos like this. I wish my husband and I could find places to go. We are in our mid 60's I feel it would be so fun and get exercise. I love history and would probably have a heart attack if I found one of those coins or anything for that matter. God Bless, be safe. Rebekah, OHIO
Good to see you. What a cool place. The finds and the dates could have a lot to with history of this country: wars, battlefields, etc, maybe a loot that got dropped and dispersed through the years. ❤
First chords off that national steel, just hit me in the gut. Love, love, love that sound. 30 years ago, in Ludlow a local played that. He knew ,I would be asking for a short set on the national.
Great finds. I look forward to seeing your channel each week. Great content excellent music and camera work. From finds to nature even the results of mother nature you do a great job and the speculation of what happened in each area makes your vids worth seeing each week. Is it possible that this area was a Tavern or roadside coach stop. To find such a variety of items seems that their were travelers in the area. In my area their was a coach stop that is no longer attainable as it is now owned by a quarry company but many such finds like what you had found were at this site. Congrats on your finds and keep the vids coming.
Wow, what an incredible day of treasure hunting! The bucket lister is always nice to cross off the list! Til next time take care, stay safe and dig, dig, dig...
That button is a General Service Eagle Button. Definitely American Civil War made by Scovill button co or Waterbury Button Co. Wow surprised you found that here in Vermont. I'm from Central Vermont. Would love to go detecting with you sometime Brad. Keep up the good work!! Im an avid Civil War , Revolutionary War, and military relic collector and Civil War reenactor in the Vermont Civil War Hemlocks living history.
The patina and details on those large cents were something special, especially coming out of the dirt like that. Rarely does a copper that old come up so well preserved. Congrats!
If only you could stand and look back in time at what was there, the people and structures. Amazing thought that those items have been sitting in the ground for most of our nation's lifetime!
Kinda what I was thinking too. You could get your buttons replaced, probably any kind of tailoring, and the holes in your pockets sewn up. Although maybe a bit too late for some on the latter.
I stumbled across your channel tonight, how refreshing. Finally, a adult channel for metal detecting by a knowledgeable host. You have a new subscriber.
Congrats on the bucket lister! Coins of that age are only a dream for me! But for the most part, my area was settled in the 1850s. My oldest coin so far is a 1865 Indian head cent i found last week. You and a couple others have inspired me to start making videos. More as a vlog than entertaining the world. I'll leave that up to the pros
Congratulations, Brad, on your Jersey coin, well done!! I get almost as excited as you do with your discoveries. MANY thanks for another great adventure with my morning coffee !!
What a great piece of earth to detect and find some fantastic history just awesome so cool Brad a Connecticut and NJ copper and so many very old coins 👊🏼👊🏼
I love the number of buttons. It gave me an idea for the business that might have been there. You said two of the thimbles were tailor thimbles. A tailor or seamstress shop of some kind could account for the number of buttons, shoe and knee buckles, and lost coins by a large assortment of customers seeking clothes or mending. The two toys would suggest a family with children that might have used the castoff buttons for toys and lost them in the yard. It's fun to make up stories about the past from your finds. Keep hunting!
What a great time Brad and such nice people you get to detect with. The camaraderie between metal detectorists is a fine example of how to treat people.
Ditto!!

Must be an old trading post . Had to be an awful lot of foot traffic through that area
Maybe an inn
Welcome back for spring detecting, Brad-have missed you detecting all winter!!
With all those buttons, it may have been the site of a tailor's establishment. A really great hunt! Your videos are striking! Thank you for sharing!
Were it just the buttons and a few coins, I'd guess a homestead that had burned down. Given the clay soil, most iron/nails would've long rusted away.
I would guess a gathering place of some kind. Maybe church or place for events. People wore buttons all over their clothes back then. So they fell off alot.
Friday the BEST day of the week. Great stuff Brad thanks
Your friends look like great guys! So nice they shared the field with you. Some cool finds by all of you.

Or a tavern / cat house/
Congrats Brad you all did real well saving history.
Congratulations on your NJ Copper and all of your finds, Brad! Nice finds for the other fellas as well. Thanks for sharing the day's fun with us!
I loved the intro music and of course the video! Thanks for posting Brad.
Brad glad you are back to speed and healthy again, finding Roman’s is fun but nothing like our own American history . I enjoyed this almost as much as you. Thanks
HEY! Gooooood morning everybody and thumbs UP to Brad Martin!
Good morning Richard! Thumbs up to Brad!!
Awesome video and finds! It’s so exciting to see relics like that coming out of the ground with modern houses and vehicles in the background!! A great hobby for sure!
Great hunt and beautiful place thank you for sharing 👍👍
There must have been some kind of annual fair or farmers markets where many people gathered because the coins are from different times and there are so many! That first song sounded new ! Nice catchy tune !
Thanks for letting me hang out with y'all....🤓🕊️
What a day. Great intro music....and at the end.
There must’ve been a tavern or shop or train station or something right there for you to find all that and it’s so close to those houses.
Stagecoach stopover?
Here in the middle of Michigan if you see a hill like that in the middle of a field or in the woods it is very often an Indian burial mound. There is a farm nearby with a big mound in the middle of the field and the kids in this area used to go out there right after the farmer plowed looking for arrow heads that had been unearthed.
Hills are the norm here. And arrowheads are rare now.
Wow! What a day, beautiful weather and great finds. Hard to beat, thank you for sharing.
I subbed, this guy seems cool. A lot of kids grow up with an idea of wanting to become a treasure hunter and many of those kids myself included don’t grow out of it.
Some people are still dreaming about detecting a place like that!! Great hunt, Brad!!
Great episode!!! It's good to see you out and about. We love your friends.
This one gave me goosebumps, I couldn't imagine being at that good of a site! Definitely makes the mind reel to try to figure out what went on at that site in the past.
WOW…nice haul today. Cool video👍😎
What a Great spot for finds! Wow, so exciting! Congrats on all of the old coins; and thank you for sharing Brad

Possibly a stagecoach area, definitely a trade depo. Thank you so much for bringing us along…
Great to be outside again! Great finds too! Thanks for sharing.
Another awesome video Brad. Really liked all those cool coins and buttons, shoe buckle. Congrats for finding the Connecticut copper & the New Jersey state copper.

Great musical introduction
Aye, that beat at the intro went hard! I love it.....
What an adventure Brad. Thanks for letting us ride along.
Brad thank you for the adventure , seeing beautiful scenery and amazing finds !
Good to see you. What a cool place.
The finds and the dates could have a lot to with history of this country: wars, battlefields, etc, maybe a loot that got dropped and dispersed through the years. ❤
Nicely done, Brad. A video that’s worthy of such a memorable day. Already looking forward to our next adventure!
That's one heck of a permission!!! Congrats on the Jersey state copper.
WOW! Way to go. Happy swingin diggin Brad!👍😘
It's fun to see how excited you and friends are when you find a treasure!
Brad...this must have been a small town 200 plus yrs agao...fantastic !!! Thanks for sharing this with us...
What a great hunt! I was thinking that round spoked item might have been a wheel on a child's toy. Keep swinging!
First chords off that national steel, just hit me in the gut. Love, love, love that sound. 30 years ago, in Ludlow a local played that. He knew ,I would be asking for a short set on the national.
Great hunt Brad! I’m a little jealous because I don’t find the really old stuff here in NW Ohio😊
That was an awesome adventure. So happy you found a bucket list item, the New Jersey copper. Amazing day for sure.
Congrats with your NJ copper! Great video! Take Care, Jim

Always fun to watch. You should get a little spray bottle of water to clean off buttons etc.. doesn’t scratch up coins etc..
WOW! Awesome finds! I found a double gilt button a few weeks back. I am super jelly of those coins. GRATZ!
Wow, what an incredible day of treasure hunting! The bucket lister is always nice to cross off the list! Til next time take care, stay safe and dig, dig, dig...

🌟AWESOME FINDS! I’m very excited for all of you! Thanks for sharing this fun outing! I appreciate your wonderful videos!🌟
Great video. Congrats on all your awesome finds. And your opening song was really good. You are very talented.
If only you could stand and look back in time at what was there, the people and structures. Amazing thought that those items have been sitting in the ground for most of our nation's lifetime!
How fun! What a great day!
Possibly a seamstress lived in that house. That many buttons. And they constantly dropped their coins. Awesome hunt for y'all.
Kinda what I was thinking too. You could get your buttons replaced, probably any kind of tailoring, and the holes in your pockets sewn up. Although maybe a bit too late for some on the latter.
Wow!! you found some interesting coins. I forgot all about whizzer's, that 1800 was a great find and the Jersey coin was like icing on the cake.👍🛡️
Morning Brad, great opening song….
At 15.40... Those almost look like elms in the background. Been 50 years since we cut the one in our yard. Boo hooo
I stumbled across your channel tonight, how refreshing. Finally, a adult channel for metal detecting by a knowledgeable host. You have a new subscriber.
Congrats on that NJ copper! What a find!
Incredible day…Congrats!

Wow congratulations Brad. You have some awesome finds
The good old Friday feeling is Back
Awesome finds!! That 1823 large cent is actually fairly rare, and in great shape to boot!
Yes! I found the 1823/2 variety earlier this year. Brads is in much better condition. The 1823 is a little more rare than the 1823/2.
Glad you had a great day.
I love the way Draped busts come out of the ground. Often chocolate colored. And with the dried dirt they look awesome.
Nice to see you have company to detect again Brad. 😊. I have to say I miss Eddie and Chris too.
Fantastic haul from everyone. I would make the assumption that there was a tailor or similar within that general area based on what you’re finding.
WOW! What a day!! Congratulations! Great guys you hung out with today! Also, love your intro music!
A great day for everyone !!!!! Congratulations on your Jersey! ❤
How absolutely fun for all of you! It's great to go with friends so you can share what you found! Amazing!
Funky intro track, Brad !
Love it !
Awesome button. Beautiful large cents. Congrats on the New Jersey state copper.

another great video , i like your presentation and that you explain what you found without going over the top with excitment .
A great day in the field! Thanks for sharing! 👍
looks like a general service button, Nice Finds.
Great Day in Metal Detecting in Vermont! Love, Love your videos! Enjoyed as usual!!
WTG Brad!! Congratulations on your bucket lister. Great hunt, that place is awesome!
Great video, Brad!!
