This is why one of Got7's choreographer said Youngjae is a dance genius. He auditioned through singing, trained for 6 months, became part of a group that has 6 amazing dancers, but when they perform as a group, you'll never find him being the least good. He's capable of being as good as the others.

But the fact is that there was no rehearsal for this collab of three and no notification to prepare these dance for idol radio. Two of them said thank Somi for dancing with them because any of them were expecting to dance together. People are complimenting on her because even though she didn't practice for showing us her dance, she did well on the spot. The point is not that she already knew the choegraphy. You know, if we have an exam already informed and getting A++ is something appreiciable. But, if we have a surprise test and somene getting A- will be getting praises for being talented, prepared. And no one would do like "She had have prepared for it~ That is not that appreiciable point~". If someone does this, everyone will blame that one. And it is so offending if you think "Well~ Somi would have practiced these songs and it is so~~~ natural for Somi to dance well~~" like this, everyone would read the context, which is degrading Somi's talent and effort. Because Youngjae is a main vocal and the other 6 of GOT7 members have official dance positions and strong dance/tricking backgrounds, I’ve never really paid much attention to YJ’s dancing... But put him next to non-members and you’ll realise just how strong his dance foundations are. Even though he’s not doing every move exactly like the original choreo, he really manages to get the vibe and feeling of the dance across, and the way his body moves emphasises the key point of each choreo. Granted, Young K is a band member, but he did learn dance for several years as a JYP trainee - likewise for Somi, who even went through a rigorous survival programme where she did intensive dance training. All 3 of them did well, but there’s no denying that Youngjae really shines here✨

i love each and every one of them. but i gotta say, im amazed how confidently youngjae now brings himself. im so inlove 😍
Because Youngjae is a main vocal and the other 6 of GOT7 members have official dance positions and strong dance/tricking backgrounds, I’ve never really paid much attention to YJ’s dancing... But put him next to non-members and you’ll realise just how strong his dance foundations are. Even though he’s not doing every move exactly like the original choreo, he really manages to get the vibe and feeling of the dance across, and the way his body moves emphasises the key point of each choreo. Granted, Young K is a band member, but he did learn dance for several years as a JYP trainee - likewise for Somi, who even went through a rigorous survival programme where she did intensive dance training. All 3 of them did well, but there’s no denying that Youngjae really shines here✨
