That green on the Charger fits the car like a glove 🙂
And the gun finish that is better than many "polished" finishes - a true artist at work.
I still can't believe that Retropower has so few subs !! spread the word guys and gals !! :) Cheers from Australia :)
I love the tiling grout look on the workshop interior.
: )
Fabulous tour of the 'works' yet again, you blokes amaze me.
The Charger in the paintshop at the end is absolute class, an artist at work, truly beautiful, and mesmerising to watch.
Charger looking epic. Painting montages are the best montages.
I like how understated and quietly menacing the Camaro looks too.
The colour on the Charger looks absolutely epic.
Dean’s upholstery work is quite awesome.👌
Brillante closing sequence 👍🏻 as is the paint job!… great vid.
Wow, that Paint!
The Manta wheels are spectacular
Manta, surprised to see that the tires are not mounted with the yellow circle next to the valvestem.
Stunning work as ever guys. I was empathising with the poor lad jammed into the boot of the MK1 Escort, been there and done that, getting too old to do it again!
For the wheeling machine anvils try Hoosier profiles. The best available off the shelf.
Lovely work guys.
utterly amazing
Projects coming on and like the green on the Dodge.
Stu is the metal Picasso 😎
That Mustang, Classic 💯👌🔥.
After all the work they seem to leave with barely any Fanfare.
The Mustang looks amazing as they all do tbf. The Charger footage at the end was the icing on the cake. Question, do the owners get a build video, essentially a compilation of the weekly updates specific to their car?
Nat, re Escort boot spring, have you considered using gas struts, smoother operation and relatively easy to fit. 2 gas struts may in fact be lighter than the long original spring. Regards from New Zealand
that is true, i think. However, i prefer the somewhat magical, invisible spring mechanisms used back in the day. i also like torsion spring suspensions, like in VWs, Porsches, Dodges, etc.
Thought same but the might think that reducing originality.
Noticeable deviation is the keyword.
Hopefully you guys will forge a mk2 english wheel tool.
R&D for the win.
: )
I noticed two defects on the left side rear 1/4 of the Mustang just from the camera going past. Thought I'd mention it..
😂🤣😂🤣
Mustang looks great. Where did the bucket seats in it come from?
How do you deal with getting zinc, raptor, poly, primer, paint on the bits that the jig was bolted to while doing the main spray.
When can we see your class 7 pulling wheelies out of corners
Is the NSU going to get a rotary engine, do you know?
I think they said back to original (because that was quite a significant car and engine design historically speaking), but I may be wrong on that….
Loving the Manta but why the different Toyo tires front and rear . ?
A Racing Green Charger……….I say!!!!!! (Sorry……Yooooo Ha!)
Try telling the owner of a brand new car (a metro ! ) that you cant close her door with one finger because of positive/negative air pressure!!!!!!!!.............the joys of bodyshop
What would you think that the jag Stu has reworked to be 2 door, would be valued at,at completion
Range Rover under covers ?
👌
It’s a shame about all the adverts now. I love these videos and have watched them all, but the number of adverts is getting distracting.
Stu
A f@&@ing genius,, that jag is a work of art
Mk1 escorts, im on the fence
Arches ,, not right for the car at all sorry,, no offence to the quality of the workmanship as its amazing
But ,, I suppose you do as the customer asks
I’m the opposite- horrible with original wings but that’s probably because after idolising the racing versions back in the sixties I actually got to buy a bubble arched road car myself back in ‘73.- Happy memories..😊
The Charger looks stunning. You guys are just amazing in the attention to detail you work to. As always, a perfect addition to my Sunday evening.
The Jag coupe is really starting to look like it was a factory option and is being beautifully executed. Really nice work everywhere and still only 58k subscribers.
I reckon you’ve stopped people being able to subscribe 😉
Great work and always a pleasure to watch on a Sunday evening.
I do wonder maybe if they launch to 60 all the cars they’d get more. But seriously maybe they don’t care but more people lack patience and engineering understanding to watch the videos. Nat was testing me a bit in that Escort rear cabin venting :)
Can't wait to see the final product.
Love your long musical montages. Pure ASMR. And that finish looks like you could dive in and swim in it.😍
Will the Jag coupe have bumpers? 🤞
What a set of skilled guys you have, they’re all amazingly talented. The paint on the Charger is fantastic, and then they go and flat it down! I can’t wait to see the finished article. Full marks for the paint clip, very interesting to see it being laid. Many thanks.
Sorry don't think any American cars are deserved of that quality finish...look at that 1970's Charleton Heston film Earthquake....all the street scenes have these used abused Mustangs parked up....just thoroughly ordinary mass market cars
Wow! The Charger’s color is stunning. The reflections are a direct result of spot on preparation. True appreciation for the labor intensive outcome.
This weeks is the paint team's win. All that blocking/sanding pays off.
The paint on that Charger!
It’s sort of disappointing that the two Escorts are not being built for competition use so I guess they will be used on the road and for shows? ( I just hope they won’t be locked away in somebody’s private collection, they will be far too beautiful for that ! (Ralph Broad and Allen Mann excepted of course!) 😊😊😊
(Personally I’ve never liked Mantas) - but the craftsmanship on this car is utterly superb! 👍
excellent workmanship , top quality company. ( Do I get a free T shirt?)
Has the blue E Type's engine got a fuel injection system looking exactly like the original SU carbs?
They've mentioned this on other projects and I believe the company they use specialise in producing fuel injection for classic cars disguised as throttle bodies. You get modern tech with authentic appearance.
I absolutely love green cars, a previous car I had was British racing green but that charger looks stunning, I’m looking for a transit that colour now although I’m sure the finish won’t be as good as gaz does tho!
What was the music used in this episode? All the vehicles are fantastic it's great too see the details you go to,
Do you guys have apprentices?Just watching your videos ever week makes me think it would be such a shame to lose this level of skill in the british work force
PUTTING THE COLOUR ON THE CHARGER,/ WITH THE MUSIC / WAS A [ BRILLIANT IDEA ] THIS WAS A 10 OUT OF 10 FOR ME , KEEP GOING BOYS, CHEERS
I continue to enjoy your metal craftsmanship. And at the end "Paint the Titanic", nice color.
Churchill amazes me more and more every week. It's a work of art even in its current state. Can only imagine how stunning it'll be in paint.
looking a little chubby Cole , will the Stratos EVER be finished ?
Currently patina patina , give me a SHINY car any day unless it's a Rat Rod.
Not a fan of the Mustang stripes :( I hoped that if you went with them, they'd be subtle, a la Binky. Alas not. Obviously the customer's call, but having money is clearly no indicator of good taste.
There are some very grown up colours coming out of your place now. Black/silver., has its place, but individuality shines.
fantastic work (esp Morris, Churchill & CV8) as always but what is that tune you are using? It's so emotional....
Ha ha (I first thought you were talking about the engine tune) but yes that music is superb 👍😊
How’s the invader coming along Speg? 🤔
@@philtucker1224 pop round to the channel for a look!
@@Mr_Spegru thanks Speg! (I’ve now watched pt 1, 2, and 3 and re-subbed) keep up the good work matey!
Gotta blackout the ac condenser on the Stang
Beautiful job
Nice work on the Escort arches. The original bubble arches are horrid things IMHO and don't even match front to rear. Yours look 100% better.
Hi, I am an ex Vauxhall worker and have an original Ball-Pein hammer used by me on the production line in the 60's. Do you want it?? Since my retirement its been in constant use and has had three new handles and two new heads & is now mainly used for pulling out nails.
the charger is beautful in that color! very much hoping this one doesn't go "resto-mod" but i am looking forward to its progress.
Manta wheels, Just what is it about Manta's ? stunning !
Dale has detailed all of the cars at my house and I can confirm he does a brilliant job! Top man at the top of his game
Does the inconsistency occurring with the English wheel on large panels coinside with the length other perators arm or arm reach? Just a thought. David from OZ
What green did you use on the charger? Stunning!
Ah springs to the eye… I still chuckle to myself about the time my mate forgot to release the bolt on a rifle before removing the top cover at army cadets. Spring flew out and gave him a black eye that lasted a week.
Brilliant love the outro gents great job.
Has any one ever tried using an anaerobic adhesive as a seam sealant? Would need to be very low viscosity to penetrate well.
So, you've ordered new wheels for the Opel, but you need to use spacers? 🤔
If you watch the video he explains exactly why they had to do that to clear brakes
No, the original Opel wheel centres were utilised to create the much larger new 3-part wheels rotors and callipers that the design required. However as the rear face of the wheel centres is basically flat agains the hub it could not accommodate the bigger callipers without fouling. Hence the shallow spacers.
Lenny !! ❤👍
Imagine watching Bulllit on a black and white telly, your mate telling you there's a car chase with a green car and a black car, then getting your Charger painted the wrong colour lol.
Yes watching football matches was quite difficult as well…
Always enjoyable, thanks.
Thst must be the best built Mustang ever, recalling all the issues you had with the bodywork.. Looks stunning in that blue.
Probably the best non-fastback example I’ve ever seen…
Has Nat been doing abit on his Range-Rover Classic?
😂😂
Stunning quality.
Are you still making the interiors in-house?
Not trimming they use someone referred to in the land cruiser.
Love the Mustang - looks like it was dipped in glass!
After watching this amazing build it is great to see it gets its final finish by Dale, he works to the same quality of detail that you have during the build, you are all masters of your art and a pleasure to watch.
Dear Mr cameraman, what gimbal do you use???
Cheers lads.
Jamie, you must be a very patient man! 🤣😂🤣😂(good job) 👍
@@philtucker1224 he must get that question on every video
@@jackiechan8840 👍👍👍
@@philtucker1224 You know the answer Phil? Been looking through comments, can't find answer.
@@jackiechan8840 No Sorry Jackie, I’m not a camera person. (My comment was to compliment Jamie the cameraman on the numerous takes and editing he must have to undergo while the two lads tend to ad-lib almost all of the time ha ha!) - However I do love his timed to music sequences during the work scenes..
P.s. - Couldn’t you get some advice from one of your old film crew staff?
Great video 👍 Have a chat with Dominic cheina about English wheel profile's he's got the specs
You beat me to that suggestion!
looks like rather a lot of camber on he Camaro...
You painted a Mopar in WHAT colour??? 😭😭
Aside from that, epic as always boys!! The walk through Project 1 was fantastic, that thing is coming along really nicely 👌👌
