It bothers me that they condemn a team as good as the Japanese for the game against Thailand, being that they are only players and are not to blame for what happened. Thailand is a great team, but their coach did have a bad attitude, and that is not their players' fault. Now Thailand lost against the Netherlands and Italy, two teams to which Japan gave them much battle. So enough !!! This is almost a year old. Enough!!

I think part of the problem with Japan is that they played Ishi too long and her spike are mostly weak. Japan do not trust Sakoda much, the setter didn't really give Sakoda much chances to attack, after a few blocked, the coach would take her out. Sakoda is a very good player and hard hitter, they should use her more and give her more chances to attack.
Sakoda is a another choice when nagaoka is struggling of changing the position between right hitter and left hitter cuz she is a right hander, but I think she may not replace nagaoka in serious situation because of her height, and nowadays left hander will be more preferred.
Sakoda is a serious player, ti is extremely difficult to say Nagaoka is better than Sakoda, Don't get me wrong, Nagaoka is a good player, but come on, just allow Sakoda to play and be herself. Don't forget the fact that Sakoda was a major player during 2012 Olympic Game and she consistency done well during other major games with other countries. Also, if we really look at it, the setter didn't really give her much chance to attack, for example, Ishii is a weak spiker and the setter constantly set it up for her.
maybe that's a part of their strategy whether choosing sakoda or nagaoka the ultimate goal is to win the game, right? (though my ultimate bias is sakoda)
+Gunhtang Senghkawn sakoda is the core of MB1, but not quiet successful when beating with western, because sakoda just 176, if sakoda, Manebe will let Nagaoka play when sakoda is blocked too many times. I think Japan may play MB0 haha, at that time we may see nagaoka and sakoda playing tgt
