This is really one of Plini's sweetest yet saddest songs for me(It makes me imagine a person lost in a Forest of some sort looking for his lost love... And in the end realizing he'll prolly never find her)

That’s a great way of putting it. On a hot slightly muggy summer evening when the sun has just finished setting and the stars are beginning to come out. Like there is an overbearing feeling of warmth and tender comfort masking the heartbreak and darkness.

If I'm not wrong the first solo at the intro was recorded by Rick Graham, and you nailed it! This is probably my fave Plini song. Congratulations for your playing, as a guitar player too I know how hard this is and the amount of hours of practice that you need to sound tight.

Absolutely flawless! I'm definitely going to practice my arse off to learn this lmao. Also, I find it quite sad that we live in a world where videos like this, made by people with real talent, putting effort into what they are doing get few thousand views and at the same time some pretty chicks covering a simple, mainstream rock song get hundreads of thousands if not over million views...

Thanks! For patches, I literally just used the Selenium Forest patches that come built-in. Only thing I did besides that was minor EQ and compression. Main rhythm guitars have just a high pass and some added top end, and a multi-band compressor to tame some of the palm mutes. Main lead guitar is high and low passed, with some boost in the mids. The cleans and low gain guitars I pretty much just left untouched. :)

I think the drop D tuning was more of a preference thing, back when I played this. Don't remember exactly how Plini actually played this.

Hey man this is absolutely killer, I'm trying to learn the main riff at the moment and just wondering if you could tell me what ur play for that lick at 2:08?
Thanks, man! It's been a while since I've last played it but from looking at it, I start by pulling off from 2 to 0, for the lower 3 strings. Then I hit the open G string, followed by a 4-2-0 pull off on the D string, then a 2-4 slide on the D string and finishing up with a B power chord.
Not sure if that's exactly how Plini plays it, but I guess it sounds close enough. 😅
