Rise Olympia - Veruca [montage clip]

My ode to the lighter, dreamier side of '90s alternative
I'm not the best at hiding my influences -- "Veruca" was inspired by the breakout album, American Thighs, from Chicago band, Veruca Salt. I listened to that record so much during the time period where I wrote the songs that would end up comprising the Rise Olympia album.
Dreamier songs like Twinstar, Fly and Sleeping Where I Want all had a major impact on me in choosing to write lighter songs alongside the more heavier tracks on the record. It was nice to turn off the distortion pedal for once lol
