Pulled the drop $5 for $3 7s and $2 Yo move tonight. Told the stick to "hop the skinnys". He didn't know what it meant. The other dealer (who looked like he was ancient) did but said, "He wants a 3 way 7. He's just trying to sound cool." Then stick was like "Oh, yeah OK, nobody says that. Just say you want a 3 way 7 or 3 way Reds." I thought it was funny, and told him I didn't want to say the S word, but OK, $3 hop the Reds. He said, "It's the Come Out, nobody cares if you say 7." I said, I do, I'm on the Don't. Best part, wouldn't you know, next roll, 6-1! Then I proceeded to turn 100% profit on the rest of the session. When they Colored me up I said, "Hundred Pa'cent, sounds pretty cool doesn't it?" Speechless.

Nice video, with good refreshers for old and nice tips for new players. I always like mentioning the math. The don't would have been good to add that if you don't have the funds to put in odds that Don't with no odds is the best payout of the two. As you get paid 1:1 where every odds pay out on the don'ts is less then that. So it makes it a very economical bet once you get passed that roll out. I agree you don't have too and probably shouldn't put max odds on pass. I would say put the odds that your strategy calls for not what other people think it should be. If it's no odds then do that, if it's max do that. Have a plan. Just realize even though all numbers will eventually converge on the mean, by not putting odds on pass you agree on to get paid equivalent to your risk. Like sure I can pay you minimum wage to sit behind a desk with A/C or I can pay you minimum wage to climb up a 500 ft something tall power line to install wires or dive 1000 ft under water to put in some pipes. The risk is greater why would you agree to not get paid at least equivalent to the risk you're taking? If that's the plan then fine if not then why?

Great video! I rarely play props but I didn't realize a horn-high ace-deuce on downtown odds table is worse that 4C-1E. The least professional and most amateurish thing to me is taking down a DP after come out or doing "no action" on a DC. That drives me crazy. Somebody who bets pass line instead of placing the point is usually a noob who doesn't understand what they are doing, but a dark-side player who gives up the advantage should know better.

That bet that is put on line, is also a non contract bet which means you can pick it up whenever you want. If you feel the player is going to 7 out before they roll the point you can pick it up and put it back in your rack. Most "pro" players do not like being stuck in contract bets so they don't play pass line or come bets.

One thing to add to buying the outside numbers, since ETGs pay to the penny and most if not all take the vig on the win, it is always better for the player to buy the 5/9 and 4/10, no matter the unit. Also, a $5 buy bet on the 10 at a live table pays exactly the same as a place bet, $9 (assuming the casino allows it).

I'm like not my problem lol. I triple martingale the bets. I scout the table before I play to make sure there aren't any consistent point hitters. It's funny though they don't kick me for being an advantage player. I do try to be a good sport though and every now and then throw a min bet on a 6 or 8 place bet but it's only when I'm up.

It is an option if you did not play the pass line but still want to bet the point number.

    4. I do know the NO ACTION on the DP or DC. I rarely play it anyway, I don't like betting against the table.
    3. I will throw out a 5 chip for a horn high bet sometimes. But didn't know about the pay out though.

  • @warpeace8891
    @warpeace8891 3 дня назад

I can only assume that you are referencing craps as it's played in Las Vegas. You do an excellent job.
Craps as you have shown it in your videos is very different to how it is played in Australia. The mechanics is mostly the same but there are some key differences. There is also a dramatic difference in how the players must play because of odds.
Your version is far far better for players than what we have.
There is no such thing as tipping dealers in Australia. It is illegal here for all table games. Wages are very high here so making 30, 40, 50+ or more dollars per hour is common and normal depending on the game. Craps is the dealers highest competency game. It is paid at the highest rates. There is only 4 man teams for a single table + pit boss for a single craps table. So it is very expensive for the casinos to run a game of craps. This is probably the core reason for the differences between your version and ours.
There is no such thing as a three way bet. It is not marked on the table. Any seven, come and pass are the only way to bet on seven.
The field is doubled for two and twelve - no triple.
The horn is massively disincentivised by an absurd minimum bet of 20 dollars. If you want horn high yo, minimum is $25. Theses high minimums effectively eliminate these bets as any kind of insurance bet unless you are playing with larger amounts of money... bankrolls in the thousands +. C+E is a $5 minimum each, again restricting the value of insurance.
The maximum behind the line odds is 2x. Making this bet much less flexible for those "feeling" the game out or pressing their luck.
Place bets 6 and 8 are ONLY multiples of 6 above the minimum eg. minimum $25 table, place 6 and 8 are minimum $30. $10 table, place 6 and 8 are minimum $12. Some places used to have 1/2 increments paying out with 50 cent chips but I think they gone now. Melbourne with the largest gaming floor in the southern hemisphere does not offer craps at all since 2020. They got busted money laundering to Chinese mafia and sold it to a Private equity investment company that does not know how to run a casino.
Many years ago... 1990's they offered a one dealer, craps mini booth which was very popular with craps players who could find them (hidden upstairs in a corner) Craps is the most under appreciated game in Australian casinos, mostly relegated to advertising and promotion. Playing the game is hard to find and not encouraged like it should be.
Craps is by far the most engaging of all table games offering a gaming experience richer and more colourful than any other game by a wide margin.
I offer you one more point that could be added to things to do at a Craps table.... Bring your lady friend and sponsor them to roll the dice. Everybody loves the lady shooter and the shooter who has no clue what's going on.
My record roll is 55 rolls. Paid for my motorbike and gear. Two weeks later, two pretty young girls dragged over by the stickman. They rolled for over two hours. The whole table were throwing chips at these girls by the end and they made thousands even though they were only betting $5 pass line with no odds. They didn't know what was going on and we all loved it. Thank you girls for my holiday to North America. I probably threw them over $500 just myself.
Thank you Color Up for sharing. Good luck to you.

The best way I can describe it to you is like this...
If you ever play pass line and odds, think of "buying" the number as in you are taking odds on the number without a pass line bet.
This is exactly why it's advantageous to always buy the 4 and 10 once you get to 20+.
Your odds is what people call "lowest house edge" with true payouts. Buy bets are exactly the same, but the casino doesn't like you bypassing that pass line bet, so they charge a 5% fee on buy bets (which brings the edge back their way) but it's STILL a great bet to make.
Hope that helped, and good luck!

Makes no sense to play pass line unless you're the shooter or you're maxing the odds. Otherwise just place the point if you wanna play with the shooter.

If you consider yourself a "pro" & you are betting the 7(s), horn & C&E then you are a damn fool. You don't have to take full odds instead you can take single or double odds.

I’m so confused, it makes sense to always bet when you have the edge but its just too much info.

It would help to throw-in some quick definitions like "horn" and "yo" when you first start...even if you have another video to specifically identify these terms.
My friend gave up listening when you started talking about the Any Craps & Yo bet.
Also... I think you should break these sections up into shorter segments. Just my input as a trainer of crayon-eating Marines.

Fair points. After 5 years and hundreds of videos I sometimes forget not everyone knows the language. I do my best when I can, but obviously don’t always hit the mark. Not sure what you mean by shorter segments? All my videos are about 10-20 min.
My free beginner series which I try to push new players to, I think accomplishes all your suggestions.
