That's in excellent condition for an elevator of it's age. It doesn't seem to have any kind of leveling process - it just stops. Great vid!
Now that's a classic.
wow i love this elevator, its like off bioshock
That's very cool for this elevator to find.
Wow, that's antique!
Nice video of the day.❤🎉. 0:26 .
Thanks
I'm surprised you didn't stop on the first floor, being that you heard that it doesn't level properly there.
This was well worth the tr-shoot, now in HD. You must love these oldies, huh?
xD Bedankt!
COOL!
you couldn't afford one of those "pretty" old elevators today. They were built by the pound, heavy duty, lots of Brass, Bronze.....
@Streetcar1743 I think the problem is that these types of elevators can't take seperate "up" or "down" calls so it will stop at the floor going up when the person waiting wants to go down, or vice versa, so they would have to either take a "round trip" or wait for it to come back. Having manual doors makes it hard for handicapped people to use, and swinging doors require a motor at each landing, whereas sliding has a clutch that couples to the door on the elevator itself.
what was that noise before you got on the first floor going down i kept hearing a squeak or something

@Streetcar1743 In a tall building (more than 5 floors) having a motor at each landing door AND on the door on the elevator itself would be very expensive. Not having automatic doors would make it harder for handicapped people to use. For these reasons, these kinds of elevators are not practical for high-rise buildings. For little 3 floor buildings however these work fine, but preferably with an auto door both inside and out.
nice
Thanks

This was filmed on the Sony T900.

It uses English floor numbering.
Is Glenn your son?
Why does all his video start with the camera looking at a toy train engine?
That's his channel logo.
sony cybershot dsc-T900.
You chose to spend that 5 minutes watching this video, not our fault!
If you didnt like it, just press the "back" button, and probably waste your life putting stupid comments on more video's

The public needs to be aware of Otis Elevator/United Technologies Corporations illegal behavior. In particular, attempting to provoke this caring and devoted father into committing suicide over my child care issues and then conspiring to obstruct justice in federal court against not only me, but in addition 4 other litigants/former UTC employees. Please check out my You Tube videos to find my website and genuine court documents.
