I like that they're fairly low-level here. The students together barely manage to pull off what amounts to an auditory illusion, and while the samurai takes the troll down, she doesn't even manage to break its skin. They've obviously got their work cut out for them.
The pain of level one is real.
I really love all them met each other, now they're all close friends. I'm getting extremely fired up seeing how my Reign of the Seven Spell Blades New Generation Dengeki Bunko Series will progress.

Episode 2 came out today, it was very good I’m really excited about what the show has to offer.

After watching 6 epsiodes I must say it's very good anime. Good story and characters, nice plot twist, no harem BS, nice animation, a bit dark .... to sum it up: Better than many similar "school/magic" animes.
Are we going to ignore the fact that girl legit went Ultra Instinct?
That girl is sat on the floor for a whole 3min. Couldn't even be bothered to move an inch

Fair warning from someone who has the Light Novels (till Volume 8):
This wont be pretty for children to watch. Imagine Harry Potter but only darker.
Dismemberment, death, torture, and/or a whole lot of blood being spilled are pretty common later on. (There is another theme but im not going to mention it now).
The REAL ugly stuff starts to happen in their second year and i doubt this season will cover it.
So it's HP but if plot armor didn't help characters? Looks interesting

But i wouldnt say they have plot armor.
Its still to early to call the jury on that.

Honestly, considering the headmistress is basically a social darwinist, who happily admits a fifth of the students will die, that's kind of a given.

Love this new anime
I've been really torn since watching the first ep. On one hand the production quality is quite good but the way the story unfolds seems a bit odd.
Katie reminds me of hermione from Harry potter🤔
She basically is Hermione, but with the activist part of her character emphasized.
Effectively, all of the main six characters are in some way based off aspects of Harry Potters core trio, while also possessing something that sets them apart.
