Thanks for your vids... always good to watch. I am wondering if you know of any sort of presentation or ??? that would help with our upcoming upgrade to Creo 4? Specifically, how/why the big model based GD&T stuff. I am wondering why and if there is a downside to continuing to do things as before? I don't see my work going to anything even remotely resembling "paperless" drawing. Geez! We still print drawings, have them signed manually, and scan them back in to release them! Thanks again! Cheers!
@@CADPLMGuy Um... er... ah... ? We theoretically use TeamCenter, though essentially we don't use any at all. I am wondering just what this has to do with my question? I'm not asking to comment on company drawing release policy. Simply, I am trying to understand all the changes to Creo 4, and just why I would want to go there.
If you had a CAD data management system, you wouldn't need to print a drawing, sign them, scan them, and use the PDF as your released document. (Which is an absolutely crazy workflow, especially for 2020.) I have an entire playlist on the Creo 4.0 enhancements. Your PTC representative can share the Creo 4.0 enhancements presentation with you. I'm not allowed to distribute it myself.
@@CADPLMGuy Agreed, I'm not at all "fond" of our SOP. Especially, coming from Windchill, but not a lot I can do about it. I'm the "new guy" to the company, though my experience far outweighs my colleagues. My concern is what to tell the guys to do about GD&T when we upgrade to 4.0. Thanks for advice. I will dig around at PTC.com. Also, into your archives for some more 4.0 information.
how do you do a 110deg bend? i work for a packaging company and need to illustrate corrugated box in open configuration creo only restricts me in 90 deg bends and the bending direction is wrong i want my folds up by selecting top of the driving wall, it points down, my dieline for the board will be inaccurate is there a way to fix this issue?

What are you using to manage your CAD data?

Ok here is a problem. Why is your fold length only showing the bend allowance and not the developed length.

Type in 110 for the angle. You can always flip the angle direction or adjust the offset. I suggest you watch my videos on Bends.
