- Arundel is situated in West Sussex, and is home to Arundel Castle, seat of the Duke of Norfolk. It's also home to Arundel Cathedral, seat of the (Catholic) Bishop of Arundel and Brighton. Arundel is a perfect weekend or day trip away from Londo or Brighton.
We begin our virtual walking tour of Arundel on Queen Street, over the River Arun. Our walking tour continues up High Street and then along Tarrant Street - both famous for their beautiful shop fronts and restaurants. We explore both The Old Print Works Shopping Arcade and The Arundel Arts, Craft & Antiques Market before turning around at the delightful Picture Conservation and Restoration Studios.
Back on the High Street we continue around Maltravers Street and New Cut before descending back down the High Street for a view across the river.

Love how detailed and different this walk was, super neat to be in some of those shops and be able to pause and find interesting stuff! These little English towns are my favorite to see. Also LivingWalks, are you UK based? I love the mystery of knowing nothing about this person behind the camera, but at this point I’ve watched so many of your videos I feel as though we are silent travel buddies 😂❤️ thank you so much for making these, they have become my “American still trapped in quarantine and my awful stupid country” safe-haven 💭
How lovely to hear you found this walk detailed and different. It's nice that you like these little English towns. We'll be bringing you plenty more. That's right we are UK based (in the south easy by the seaside), we have a video here of our town of Leigh on sea, you might like a peek at that?
How nice to feel that we are silent travel buddies, we love that idea! Do keep in touch, it's a pleasure to receive your message and have a 'chat along the way'. All the best to you Emma.
We love Arundel! We stayed there for two weeks last summer and can't wait to come back next spring. Such a beautiful town.
Hi Karina, We quite agree a lovely town to just meander in. Hope you have just as lovely a time in the Spring?
Lovely video as always. It makes me realise just what beautiful places we have on our doorstep here in England and no doubt this year we will be getting reacquainted with a lot of them.
Glad you enjoyed it Linzylou, we too are realising we have some beautiful places right on our doorstep. I quite agree that this year we will be getting reacquainted with what we've forgotten. All the best to you.
Living Walks All the best to you too, stay safe !

Thank you so much JC, I'm sure our little English town must be so different from your part of the world. Which is why we find each others footage so interesting. Thanks for staying connected friend.
@@LivingWalks yes you are right we used to see our area and atmosphere everyday. we used to it so we almost not appreciate this like others do.
Interesting to see you're adding some new British town footage to your wide repertoire LW! Quite handy to source some nice day trips in these times when we can't travel so far. Thank you as always.

Hello, my dearest !! How are you? I hope all is well and that everything is under control!
What a wonderful village is this !!! Unfortunately in England I only visited London and many years ago, but I would love to discover countries like this, so attractive and picturesque!
I find there is a special atmosphere in places like these. They give me a sense of peace and tranquility that you have perfectly captured with your images !.
Truly a relaxing and pleasant walk on a splendid, sunny day!
My dear friends, I wish you a wonderful weekend. Let me know if the link to Bonnie's site has arrived. He will put another song of ours tomorrow or in the next few days. How beautiful...
Much love from me, as always and a big, BIG embrace !!
Renata
Hello dear Renata,
We are very well and things aren't too bad in our town at all. At least we can walk by the sea and now even stop for a bite to eat!!
So lovely to hear that you find a special atmosphere in places like Arundel. We couldn't hope to offer more than sense of peace and tranquility, so that makes us very happy.
Ooh, regarding the link to Bonnie's site, I only had the general link and wasn't sure which was yours? So the latest one she adds tomorrow or in the next few day will be from your poem? Maybe you could drop me the link when it goes up to remind me, we'd love to hear that. How exciting!!
Much love from us, as always and a big hug back from the UK!

So lovely and attractive!!!
Enjoyed the walking around the place very pleasantly
and liked it too much!!!
Thanks for sharing and stay connected~ :)
Thanks for visiting WI, good to connect with you. Pleased you liked our little English town.
Absolutely delightful. What I've noticed sadly is that most of our smalls towns no longer have the necessary convenience of independent grocery shops, including fishmongers & butchers within the shopping areas.
Yes, we do agree, it's great when you find the odd gem of a town that does for sure.
Wow superb ❤
Thank you Imran!
I’m writing a book and the characters go to Arundel so this helped a lot thank you ever so much

LIVED THERE FOR 2 YEARS! WORKED AT THE NORFOLK ARMS HOTEL! 👍🇿🇦🇬🇧🇿🇦🇬🇧
Hope this brings back a happy memory or two of your time there. All the best to you.
Very interesting , a little different then your other places!
Hi there RD, yes we're doing a few British towns and cities in between others. Sp pleased you found it interesting, we try to keep it varied. All the best to you.
Christopher Alexander, famous architect and author of "A Pattern Language" and "the Timeless Way of Building" returned to Arundel after a long association with the University of California at Berkeley. He died here on March 17, 2022. Clearly this was a place where he found inspiration for his wonderful theories on architecture and urban design.
Hello there Noe, thank you for enlightening us about Christopher Alexander. It's given us an interest in knowing more about him. Pleased you dropped by with your knowledge. We appreciate it.
@@LivingWalks Oh, I should have also said that the video was absolute fun to watch. These walking tours convey the sense of a place so well. When the video is in high res, doubly so. Thank you for your effort.
@@rr7firefly We’ll you are most welcome Noe, such nice messages as yours make doing the channel worthwhile. Hope to stay in touch.
@@LivingWalks Here is one video (a short one) for you to get a taste of C. Alexander:
