Always good to see an old friend show up at the party. Antec is a trusted name going back 30 years, they slept a little but when they awakened they came back hard!
It is a nice case! That wood accent is tastefully done, and the ability to move the front fan chassis section up and down is a very thoughtful and pragmatic design.
I think I might be looking at my next case. Not a fan of top-mounted I/O, but I love that rotated PSU option, and the wood paneling is a perfect touch.
Now that I own the case I wish to comment on the fan arrangement at 9:04 - in my testing you are suppose to use either the two supplied 120mm fans on the PSU shroud or two 120/140mm fans in the bottom chamber, not both at the same time as the fans on the PSU shroud will obstruct the airflow from the fans in the bottom chamber. I find that the additional cooling provided by the two 120mm fans on the PSU shroud is about equal to removing the fans and the cover plates and installing two 140mm unobstructed fans in the bottom chamber.
is it possible to mount the 2 fan shroud fans to the bottom of the tray so they aren't sticking up into the main chamber but still operate to their full extent as designed to cool the gpu?
I do think it's good to have a GPU vent. On the other hand they're generally facing my head and fans are loud. Front to back airflow is sufficient as long as it's good, unimpeded, moisturized, in its lane etc.
This case is gorgeous. As popular as the Meshify C was in its time, I absolutely hated the front mesh because of the plastic triangular frame that was behind it. I always found it ugly. I absolutely love the design of this case, and a mid-ATX or a mini ITX would be awesome.
I wish I hadn't seen this video.. I was perfectly happy with my Fractal North but seeing all the customizability and extra stuff it has...i kinda wanna switch. Also love your chaotic but thorough review style lol.
With the drive cage, does this mean we can buy an additional drive cage? To add more drives in the future? Since it can be installed on any 120mm fan slot.
I think it's a very nice case and my builds Montech case could use an upgrade, so I could go with this one, but I just upgraded finally my 9th gen platform and I bought a Ryzen 5 7600x used on eBay and MSI b650 motherboard from Amazon along with 32 GB Team Group ddr5 6000, I think my 3060ti will pair well with this CPU and be a decent budget 1080p build, on an upgradable platform. I'm looking forward to building it when all the parts come in, I've never build an AMD computer before, so I'm kind of excited about that and owning one for the first time.
Is it possible to send the power module to the front of the case for mounting to cool the graphics card? I think it should be possible since the extra power extension is long enough.
I wonder if the case fans added to the floor of the case would help more when a radiator is attched to the top of the PSU shroud. Also curious with all the options for fans if you could make a very quiet computer with lots of 140mm case fans at low RPM
What were the GPU Fan speeds for this test, were they locked to a certain number or did they fluctuate with temperature? Just showing temps without having locked fans wouldn't be the whole picture. What about GPU Vram temperatures?
Definitely not "innovative" but nice seeing this mesh bottom panel update to cases. My Lancool 216 has it and I have two 140mm Noctuas mounted at the bottom. The Lancool 207 seems to be moving in a more practical direction by mounting the PSU at the front to allow more space for airflow in the back for the GPU. I guess if you need a full tower for multiple large rads this is a decent option, but for almost $100 more than the Lancool 216 and 207, it seems pretty overpriced.
For ultra budget with tempered glass there’s Zalman S2. I just got it for my kid and has vents on the very bottom that can also pull in air. Uses 120mm fans bottom though.
Interested to see a custom loop in this case? yes! can you put the pump/resevoire combo in the chamber below? are there such combo models? will it run crysis? the possibilities... man, the potential! a distro plate? a resevoire plate? a huge water jug placed in the "basement" of the case with am acquarium pump? DAMN! glass tubing? maybe? quartz crystal glass tubing? i need to calm down
I wonder if you can make it that that pipes in the custom loop looks like wood. May not look very nice tho but just curious haha. Or maybe fittings\accents that look like wood to match the front of the case.
One of the more practical designs. Seems this case does exactly what the old Cosmos does but has way less storage capacity and is missing 3 rom bays, and 2 hot-swap bays. While certainly a more elegant design, its still sad how little has changed in the chassis market.
*BUT...* This only proves one important point. That the CLOSER the fans are to the thing being cooled the better. It's far better to simply have something like NOCTUA FANS modded to your graphics card then to deal with all the other stuff. I modded my RTX4070 and when gaming they are inaudible at roughly 500RPM. My entire computer has fans that NEVER go above 600RPM (ambient 24degC) and most idle at around 300RPM... one last point, if you add INTAKE for shroud/floor fans at the side then you LOSE air pressure if those fans aren't there because the FRONT fans are blowing some of their air out of those holes. Wasted. Adding those fans back is probably providing misleading results vs a more typical case (best to normalize for NOISE). That's why it's best not to overthink this. My case was chosen because I've had it a long time and love the coffee holder. It's dead silent because I know what I'm doing, not because it's a special case. INTERESTING CASE (in video) if it suits your exact needs, but I'm not sure it makes sense if you actually know how to keep a computer SILENT (which is the REAL goal, or it should be).
Great video! I have given u sub mate! I wonder whether this care would accommodate either this radiator 465 x 145 x 58mm (L x W x H) (EK-Quantum Surface X420M) or 480 x 145 x 44mm (L x W x H) on top? thanks for helping. (I cant find proper dimensions)
Someone should tell BitWit Antec and others make cases either the power supply shroud relocated to the side or the top, giving GPU’s direct access to airflow from below the case. So no need for the click bait title.
The whole video I was thinking this case needs a full hardline custom loop with 420mm radiators in the top and front along with one 360mm radiator on that lower shroud. Please make it happen so I don't have to buy this case and do it myself lol.
Have used & still own a Nine Hundred and a P280; if it wasn't for cats pushing power buttons on the top surface of my tower, I might have considered this one.
So are you telling me that if you don't need much cooling at all in this case... you could put THIRTY DRIVES in it as long as you have enough cages? Each cage holds two drives, you said you can put it anywhere you could fit a 120mm fan. I counted 14 such slots unless I'm mistaken (3 top, 3 front, 3 bottom, 1 back, 2 basement, and 2 more in the back) and then two more slots behind the motherboard. That sounds inSANE for storage if you need it that badly!
Well that's weird. I'm running a 4090 FE at 3015mhz in an O11 Evo, and I top out at 56° with the card fully loaded. Maybe your studio is at 80°F, which would be 5°C warmer than my ambient temps. But that would mean the bottom fans only make up for an otherwise poorly performing case.
Always good to see an old friend show up at the party. Antec is a trusted name going back 30 years, they slept a little but when they awakened they came back hard!
this is my next case for pc build. i think i like the fact that you can shift the psu orientation and so many drive cages.
yesss custom watercooling with all the rad you can possibly add in the case we need to see that !

Antec rocks good service support! nice to see them on the tech channels!
loving this case review. used to love the Antec slimline cases with the psu included. great to see them back
Yes to a Bitwit Build with this.
wiw, this is a really well done showcase
one thing ive noticed from other videos of this case is: the font of "Flux PRO" on top of the case is actually "ROG Font".
I have the Phanteks NV7 but I'm switching to this case. It's beautiful
great review.
patiently waiting on the Lancool 207 🙏
yes please do a custom loop in this case.
Nice to see Antec back in the chassis game. They were legendary back in the 900/1200 days.

Good ol' Antec, welcome back to the front soldier!

good to see the old king of cases back, hope it wake the other makers up,still got 900 with usb3
They failed miserably when they decided to use 120mm fans at the bottom... I mean, WHY? Also the wasted space next to the motherboard was misused...
Antec makes good cases.

Custom wood grain build with brass fittings?
Awesome looking case
As someone that is still rocking a Lian Li o11 air mini case, I'm actually kind of interested that case! :O 💚
My 4080 super has never been over 62. That’s like full on pushing it to the max. My 3070 ti would be the surface of the sun playing solitaire.

I highly doubt it hasn't gone past 62 lol. Unless it's some crazy thick aib model, maybe.
I had to buy an air conditioner just for my 3090.

The wood accents look a billion times better than all those full wood front panel cases.
Like the Gamemax vista AB and MB. I like this.
