This looks like the rink in Littleton! I go there for sharpenings but it’s like 40 mins away so I skate closer to home. I’ve found it impossible to find an adult skating community that my work schedule would allow me to join. They do a morning coffee hour at like 10am or something but I’m already in meetings by then . Still it’s very inspiring to see you practicing - thanks for posting and good luck on the rest. Three turns are so hard!
I go there sometimes! Usually when I go to get my skates sharpened 😁 but thank you! I've been getting better about practicing in the mornings because its darn near impossible for working adults to do any free skate afternoons unless its after 5. By then there are so many skaters on its so hard to practice!
That’s why I stopped skating last year and went rock climbing 😂 I got sad skating alone so often bc public sessions at big bear are mid-morning/lunch time and I guess everyone in skating has strict day jobs with little work-life balance for daytime activities. There’s a nice group of us at the climbing gym now bc there’s WiFi and so many bring their work there via laptops etc.
@@Amm.Climbs yes I totally understand that! What I love about open gym is that its cheap for two hours and there isnt a lot of people! Sometimes public skates are a hit or miss lol. I wish free skates were more accomodating to later times like 6 or 7 but im guessing it doesn't get the revenue or maybe its different programs. If I can just get up in the morning I would have no problem skating at 6 or 7 🤣
