One of August’s underrated skills is the ability to pause an actually appropriate amount of time after asking the viewer a question. It is pretty amazing how much that small detail helps with immersion when listening.
Agreed... she always had a pretty good notion of timing.
you know your stuff, yeah she's basically always been very good at speaking to the camera like it's a person, well I mean it's always seemed that way when I've watched her videos though I'm sure she she's worked hard at it, I think it's a very underrated or overlooked skill in ASMR, basically the most important skill for any personal attention vids, it takes confidence in what you're doing and genuine appreciation for the viewer..and interest in the art, she comes across very caring on screen, she can make top notch videos with the most basic setup because of it
I feel like I would script a slightly too long response to every question which I'd read in my head for the pause

Hi August, I love your vids and am addicted to a couple of them. If you ever need an idea for a video - I have a lot of tension around my mouth especially the sides, and after many years of this, it is causing marionette lines which makes me look miserable and old. One day please could you make a video concentrating on the mouth area and marionette lines. I know a lot of women of all ages suffer from this. I love your manual facelift video btw 😊
