Coming bank fishing in Tennessee next week. Would my best bet to not get skunked to fish a back water creek? See what his Grandpa who passed away from Covid taught my nephew, who will be my guide. Hopefully, he has an idea on how to catch bait. He likes catching stripers on Whopper Ploppers. Any Skipjack, Blue, Striper, or Gar will be a new species for me. Back home in Michigan we like using live Bluegills for Flatheads.
I would think this time of year the backwaters would be great, thank you for watching and good luck on your trip.

I tried the main river several days last week finally moved up into the Backwater at the mouth of the Salt River tributary from the Ohio and we caught a bunch by the railroad tracks
