Angelina Jordan Astar is a once in a generation talent that has been blessed by the hand of God and by doing so has blessed all those who hear her voice.
Yes she is from Norway. Started singing at 18 months. At 6, speaking several languages including reading and writing in English, Angelina took a trip to the middle east with her mother and grandmother she met a girl who was close to Angelina's age. The girl was weighing people for money. When Angelina stepped on to the scale the girl commented on Angelina's shoes. Angelina noticing that the girl had no shoes Angelina gave her shoes to the girl and to this day performs barefoot to draw attention to the plight of children who can't even have a of shoes.
Again at 6 years old, Angelina who not only could play the piano, guitar and violin she also could read music and does all of her arrangements. She enters a studio with her grandmother and at 6 years old does the best version of "I who have nothing". When she hits that first big note you see Angelina explode with joy as any 6 year old but within a messure she is right back into the song and and ending that is so heartfelt and beyond her years by two decades.
She enters Norway's Got Talent at age 7 and wins with 46% of the votes (global got talent record to this date)
Age 8 she sings "Fly me to the moon" on the View in NYC
At age 9, Angelina gives a masterclass on singing as performs the best version of "I Put A Spell On You" that I have ever heard.
At age 10 on a major TV show she does without a doubt that best version of "Feeling Good" I have ever heard.
At age 12 she sings "A Million Years Ago" that left me emotionally eviscerated and then likecany 12 year old brat, she giggles and says by like it's time for cake and I still can't get off the floor.
How this little angel can reach deep into my soul and touch me like no one has. Hey, I am an old man. I have seen the greatest singers and musicians from the 1950's thru today and I have never heard anything or anyone like this little angel.
She is a class act and has grown up to be the superstar she was born to be.
I pray that she stays true to herself and not get wrecked by the system like so many others.
This girl is truly special and I could write volumes about the charity work, the fack that she is Norway's youngest author or that she does everything in just one or two takes. She reads her lyrics as she sings. She is incredible.

Norwegian born Angelina Jordan began singing at the age of one and a half, and by age three was listening to jazz and classics legends on repeat. Her grandmother was her greatest influence, but Angelina chose her own path. Her first studio performance was at age 7, singing I Who Have Nothing. She won Norway's Got Talent at the age of only 8, singing old time classics from Billie Holliday and George Gershwin, and became the youngest ever vocalist to win an international Got Talent Show! Her performance at 9 years old of Screamin Jay Hawkins, I Put a Spell on You is considered one of the finest recordings ever of a 9-year-old vocalist! Angelina also went viral on America's Got Talent the champions in 2020 with her unique versions of Bohemian Rhapsody and Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. Angelina sings in English which unbelievably is her third language! She is a true prodigy.
She is now 17, and has recorded a huge library of songs, including covers and several originals. A major attraction to Angelina's music is the emotion and attitude she conveys, although she has not experienced the life events! She is known as the barefoot princess of 1,000 voices as she can adjust her tone, style, and register for any song or genre. She was signed by Republic Records almost two years ago. Why does Angelina sing barefoot? The answer may bring a tear to your eye. It is related to a promise she made to herself and to the world when she was only 6 years old. She was traveling in the Middle East with her mom and grandmother and they came across a young orphan girl with no shoes and scarred feet. Angelina gave the girl her own favorite shoes. Angelina ask the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and she said a doctor, but she could not because she had to take care of her siblings. She asked Angelina the same question and Angelina said I want to sing for the world. The young girl said she would pray for Angelina. Since then, Angelia has forever performed barefoot as a reminder of all those less fortunate. At age 9 she wrote a book about this experience, Between two Hearts, becoming the youngest ever published author in Norway. She also has helped raise millions for children's charities. She even donated her winnings from Norway's Got Talent to charities. She is a special individual, and one you cannot follow without developing an emotional bond.
Angelina captures hearts because she is humble and has compassion for humanity. Her stated goal from childhood was to sing for the world and spread love and peace. Born in Oslo, January 10th 2006, singing since age 18 MONTHS, discovering jazz at age 2, practicing her craft and art since age 3 for 36 hours weekly. Visiting the music academy in Oslo since age 4 and since age 12 she does that in LA California.
Participating Norways Got Talent when 7, winning when 8. After this she performed mostly in charity and fundraiser concerts.
Then 13 she performed at AGT, you saw it. Not to win, but to push the american audience into recognizing her. She knew she could not win, because she did not sign any contract with the owner of this show.
Today at 17, she is almost finishe with Highschool. This June 2023 she will release an EP of original songs as she will release a album in late fall, she will go onto a world tour.

Angelina noticed a girl her age making some money by asking passers-by to stand on her bathroom scale to be weighed. In order not to soil the scales, Angelina took off her shoes. She chatted with the girl who wasn't wearing shoes and learned that she is an orphan. The girl admired Angelina's beautiful shoes. Angelina then gave the girl her shoes. The girl thanked her and said she would pray for Angelina every day. In return, Angelina promised her that she would always sing barefoot at public performances until all the children had shoes. Until today Angelina has kept her promise. In 2014, she sang barefoot outdoors at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert honoring Malala in December. Actually Marcito Pomoy got 5th place, for he signed with Simon. The winner was a acrobat group, which is perfect for Las Vegas, for they where looking for a Las Vegas act and Angelina is definitely not that. She never was going to sign with him plus it was all prerecorded in the 4th quarter of 2019. When it was shown for the 2020 season Marceto Pomoy had 3 mil. View and Angelina got 10 mil, plus even Brain and the rest of Queen were so impressed that they posted it and gave her the rights to her version and their blessing to record it ❤.

Oh boy, you are going to be bombarded by her fans called Angels that will fill you in on this music prodigy with an old soul from Norway. She's basically been a star since she was 7 years old. First and foremost, she is a jazz singer but has the ability to sing any genre. She also does all of her own musical arrangements. Her early influences are Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, and Etta James to name a few. Her love of jazz came from her grandmother playing jazz music around her when she was young. In 2014, she entered at age 7 and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8. With her new found fame, she used it to appear on many shows from abroad and help raise millions for the less fortunate children around the world. At age 13, she was invited to participate on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020. She shocked the audience and the judges with her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. She received a standing ovation from all and got the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum to go straight to the Finals. Her performance went viral and even the group Queen responded on Twitter by saying, " Wow, what a rendition!" Not only that, but she received the copyrights for her version of this song from Queen, which makes it hers now. She did not win, but her fan base grew and expanded her popularity.
Now 17 years old, living in Los Angeles, and is signed with Republic Records, whose clients include Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, and Drake to name a few. Her family and Republic Records have agreed not to heavily promote her just yet so she can live as normal of a life as possible and finish her schooling. She has a new single coming out May 5th called Love Don't Let Me Go and a new album of original music which will be coming out this year. She recently returned back to Norway and performed at a number of sold out concerts in which fans from around the world came to see her. Many of the fans there said she sounded better live in person and was a once in a lifetime experience.

Why does Angelina sing barefooted? Angelina Jordan is known as "The Barefoot Princess" or "The Barefoot Princess of Jazz," amongst many other names. She always performs barefooted, whether in front of a live audience or during a studio performance. The story is that while living in the Middle East, at 6 years old, Angelina came across an orphaned girl, of her own age, sitting in the street, weighing people on a bathroom scale to earn money. Angelina said to herself, "I would like to share her life for one second to know what it is like to sit alone, wet, and damp, and barefoot in a corner of the street." Angelina could see the girl's bare feet were scarred and that it was cold outside, so she offered her own shoes to the girl. Little Angelina says that she really loved her shoes, as they were very nice and she knew she would miss them. But she saw the other little girl’s need for them, which outweighed her own desire to keep them. So she insisted the little girl take them.
Angelina called her Princess, even though the girl said she didn't live in a castle, but the ruins of a building next to where she sat. After sharing their hopes and dreams, the little girl said of Angelina's wish to sing for the world, "You will become the one you dream of and when your dreams come true, you have to remember the poor children without shoes; and I will pray for you Angelina.” Later that day, 6 y/o Angelina wrote in her diary, "The world is very strange. Right then and there, I felt as if a door in my heart opened up, and it was filled with lots of lights. It was as if there was, from Earth to Heaven, a staircase. I climbed the stairs. To be able to do something for another human - it was such a big thing…hard to describe really.”
From that point on, Angelina takes off her shoes, in honor of ‘Princess’ and all the other less fortunate children of the world, who are orphaned, hungry, or in want of even basic clothing. In 2015, at the age of 9, Angelina wrote a book about the encounter, as everyone continued to ask why she sang barefoot. Her grandmother, Mery Zamani, created the artwork for the book. So at 9, Angelina Jordan became the youngest published author in Norway. Angelina has performed alongside many other artists, raising attention and helping to raise over 21 million euros and millions of dollars for children in need.

This was the champions version of AGT where the best performers from previous seasons come together to compete. AJ got the Golden Buzzer from Heidi Klum sending her straight to the finals and bypassing much of the competition.
AJ is a child prodigy and you can hear why she was able to win a national competition at age 7 (8 when the competition was ending). AJ is self-taught and does her own song selection and arranging since she was very little. She also writes her own songs and has an original album coming out in a few weeks under the Republic label.

Signed at 14 with agreement to hold back till she finished school as a child she performed with Alan Walker, opened for Norah Jones, sung for the Nobel peace awards declared a National Treasure by her King of Norway, helped raise millions for childrens charities, was invited to sing at Quincy Jones Birthday party, on the View US performing Fly Me To The Moon age 8 after her NGTalent win. Norways youngest published author at 9. Thats just a short list so by this performance she is a vetran. Always unassuming and humble, thanks to her parenting, but a generational talent.

Angelina’s voice and her total being is like an ocean wave or soft summer breeze that takes you in and rushes you to places you have rarely experienced. Suffice to say Angelina is my favorite singer in my lifetime & I'm in my 70"s. I discovered her 5 years ago when she was 12 & am addicted to her voice, which I find therapeutic, & I listen to her every day. She has been protected by her family from the music industry to allow her to have as normal a childhood as possible & to allow her to finish her basic education. They turned down many record label offers from ages 8-14 (even Disney), but finally settled on Republic Records of UMG, who gave her everything she wanted including full control of her musical artistry. They even agreed to hold of promoting her until she finished her schooling. Well, guess what, she graduates HS this month, a year early at 17 (skipped 6th grade) & is about to explode in popularity. From her audition on Norway’s Got Talent (2014 - age 7 - Gloomy Sunday "Billy Holiday") through the final on America’s Got Talent The Champions (2020 - age 13 - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road "Sir Elton John") and the 130+ videos in between you will not be disappointed. This includes three originals song: “What Is Life”, “Oslo” and “Shield” Since then she has done many new covers and now her new singles "Million Miles" and “7th Heaven”, along with her movie soundtrack "Mercy" from the motion picture “The Hating Game”. Angelina is a Norwegian born child prodigy in music. She's a singer/ songwriter who's arranged over 180 covers and 6 originals, all since the age of 7. Angelina began singing at 18 months old. At 2, she began teaching herself how to sing, focusing primarily on the jazz masters of decades gone by. These are artists such as Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and Etta James. She's also influenced by Amy Winehouse, Frank Sinatra, Whitney Houston, and Adele, to name a few. She's also been said to be the girl of 1,000 voices. Yet even though we can hear the phrasing and style she puts in the songs, it's always Angelina that we hear.
At 7 years old, she auditioned for Norway's Got Talent. She was the last to audition. The judges had no idea who she was or what she could do. They saw a diminutive mussy haired, barefooted girl with her teeth still growing in. For her audition, she performed "Gloomy Sunday" from Billie Holiday. On TV-2, they've reported over 14 million views of this performance. This does not take into account the many hundreds of reactors showing this audition to millions more.
Needless to say, Angelina went on to win the 2014 season of NGT shortly after her 8th birthday. The family was bombarded with requests for performances, interviews, and record label offers. They turned down 90% of the requests, as they insisted that Angelina should enjoy a normal childhood.
That didn't stop Angelina from performing at select engagements around the world, singing for Heads of State, and even Barack Obama. She's spent time and worked with musicians such as Quincy Jones and Alan Walker. She first appeared on American television, The View, at 8 years old.
Angelina auditioned for America's Got Talent The Champions at 13 years old. She made it just up to the final selection of the final 5 when she dropped from the competition. Some attribute this to her refusal to sign with an AGT affiliated label, should she win. She knew very well what production hungry labels could do to her music.
At 14, Angelina signed with Republic Records. Republic gave her complete artistic control as well as control over the performances she would make. She turned 17 on January 10, 2023, and will graduate from high school after the spring semester. From then on, she will embark on her full-time professional career.

Rob was the MC of AJ Christmas Show that aired Dec 23, of 21. AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years, and toured with Barbara Streisand, accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Did I forget to mention Jimmy Z, the famous Sax Player who worked with Rod Steward, Etta James, the Eurythmics, and Doctor Dre, was part of the band for the show? Jimmy stated that AJ was the best he has ever played for. She is a very talented young lady who has been singing since she was a baby. She also has a heart of gold. I had originally seen her AGT video on my facebook page. Like you I don't watch the show. I remember when I first saw it I was so impressed with her. Last October that video was again showing up on my facebook page so out of curiosity I googled her to see where she was now. Oh my God!!!!!
