Thank you for your comment. I am glad to hear you do this too Elizabeth. There is no need to throw stuff away. Anyone not comfortable repairing the broken pieces can always sell or re-donate.
Seems like a big risk. I would think that all the "good" items are already taken by the person making the bags. They probably throw in a piece of precious metal to keep people buying them.
Yes, it is a bit of a risk Kevin. But one I think is worth taking. You may be right about the "good" items but the hunt is a lot of fun and on occasion there is gold and silver to be found. Thanks for your comment.
kevin craig Not much of a risk. I think the whole bag cost 1.99. Most of that bag can be reworked into new jewelry that can be resold for much more. Looks like a solid investment to me. Different things are valuable to other people.
You know, i would think so too, that all the good stuff would be picked thru before you got the jar, but..... sometimes 14K and sterling silver, maybe even a rare diamond might slip through.
I remember at age 6, i sat in the back seat while my dad was driving to Ohio to see my full blooded Syrian Aunt, and i would make her a beaded necklace. My mom said she gave them to her, but now that im 58 yrs young, LOL, i wonder.
The Di charm, I believe, is from a give away from Diamonds International. They have charm bracelets on cruise ships and at the different ports you can collect charms from Diamonds International stores.
Watching from Australia... We don't get opportunities like this so I just have fun watching. I like your style and knowledge. A little put off by the creaky table lol
I used to work at Value Village as a jewelry appraiser and I promise you, if the person who is doing jewelry knows what their doing very, VERY rarely will you find anything in those bags. They are just overstock from the jewelry wall that's already been out for 3 or more weeks.
Thank you for the background. Having worked at Value Village, you know better than most. I just like the whole experience of treasure hunting. Of course I love it when I find the occasional gold or silver piece. But I like the other stuff too. Even some of the so called junk. :) I appreciate you watching and thank you for the comment.
Its quite a scarce stone as it is only found in one place in the dominican republic, I consider myself lucky as I have some of these beads and they are beautiful
Pretty gold leaf, looking forward to the last four bags and the thrift finds you made. Nice to know about Amazonite. Neat bracelet with all of the animals.
The gold leaf is very nice. A good size and weight. Thanks, I can't wait to get into these other bags. It was nice of Maria to let us know about Amozonite. It was neat that the animals were all different colors. This was a good bag.
hello from Maia Webb England UK I've been watching with my husband wow are we jealous our charity shops don't sell jars brill channel best wishes from across the pond
Hello Maia and husband. :) Thank you both very much for watching. I really do appreciate it. Sorry you are not able to get the jewelry jars from your shops. It may be a blessing in disguise. They are addictive. Lol. So very kind of you to send the well wishes. Thank you.
Just curious have you ever come across Bakelite jewlery in these? My mom and i have been adding to a collection it my grandmother started and getting pieces for my mom to continue since my grandma passed on. I just wonder if it’s worth searching for pieces like that in bags like this.
Thank you for your comment J. London. I personally have not found bakelite in these bags. At least not that I am aware of. But I have seen other videos were the women have mentioned finding bakelite in their thrift hauls. You never know what will come out of these jewelry jars and bags. With that being said, it may be more cost-effective to buy individual pieces that you think may be bakelite. Good luck in your search.
Thank you very much Thrift shop Hustler. I am not a fan of this like, dislike system myself. It used to bother me when I saw a thumbs down but not so much anymore. I would still like to know why they do it. But I believe such negativity comes from people that are unhappy with more than just my videos. It is sad in a way.
Absolutely! Me too. And it can really add up if you buy beads retail. So I don't mind getting beads. Strands of beads or broken beaded necklaces, it doesn't matter. They can all be used. Thanks for watching Corrine.
When i lived in england they had hi prices on totally worn out clothes shoes an junk.Australia was almost as bad.the USA is a totally great place to Go juking and the finds can be fantastic
Sadly my thrift store takes anything out of value out before making those bags. And if they do keep any gold at the store its priced as a new jewelry piece would at a regular jeweler...
Sorry to hear that Lex. You would think they would at least put a little silver in the bags once in awhile if for no other reason than to keep you coming back to buy more. I appreciate your comment. Thanks for watching.
Thank you Joan! I like these bags. As you know, there can be a lot of so called "junk" jewelry in them, but it only takes one good piece and the cost of the bag is covered. Besides, it is just so much fun discovering what is good. :)
First time watching. May I suggest that you put the jewelry in front of your hands FACING the camera. Trying to see the peices is distracting with your hands covering them. Just a suggestion...
Hi SANDY. If you go to my channel's about page you will find my email address next to business inquiries. If you would please send me your contact information I can calculate shipping. The bracelet will be $5.00 plus whatever it will cost to ship to your state. Thank you.
Hello Amy. I have not shipped to the UK before but I would be willing to do so. I usually sell within the US because International shipping can be quite expensive. To ship a flat rate Priority box to the UK is around $35.00.
Hello Stephan from Germany. Welcome! I don't know if the beads are from tusk or horn. I have not yet looked that closely at them but that will be a good place to start. Thank you for your comment.
Thank you for your comment Vincenza Mancini. Even with Google translator I am not sure what you are asking. Could you be more specific. Also include a time stamp if you can. Thanks.
Fashion jewelry is “fun” jewelry, some people like myself have real diamonds, 14K, and genuine Sterling Silver and like to-wear the good stuff when going out. However, around the house, i like to wear the less expensive due to yard work and pets and all, but still feel pretty & spoiled!
@@MyTreasureHunt i agree w/ the trill of the hunt, or element of surprise, i might even buy me a jar sometime, only I don’t have anymore room for jewelry, as i have enough to open a store with, and i make jewelry too.
Be forewarned Katina, if you buy one you may not want to stop. Lol. Of course you will have an endless supply of beads and findings for your new jewelry creations. It is hard for me to give up some of this jewelry because I see the potential of what can be. Do you sell your jewelry?
So it sounds like you and I like to make things. :) I had an Etsy shop from 2012 to 2017 but I no longer sell there. I will have to check out your shop. I love to crochet. It is very therapeutic. I don't do much these days with other stuff going on.
why do my junk stores have nothing but real junk in their bags cause anything thats worth anything they either sell at auction or the volunteer workers buy them
I am happy to see that someone is doing repairs on jewelry and restringing the stretch bracelets. I do this myself to make them wearable again. :)
Thank you for your comment. I am glad to hear you do this too Elizabeth. There is no need to throw stuff away. Anyone not comfortable repairing the broken pieces can always sell or re-donate.
I love buying those little baggie things at Christmas from the value village. They are filled with lots of cute stuff😊
Yes they are All_Things_Pretty & Hauls Too. Thanks for watching!
I work in DI for 3 years. This are gold play. Thats a charme brasallet its just a litle gift we give to our clients for free, i love you video!!

Oh my gosh! I haven't seent the "pop" beads in YEARS!!!! Loved them as young person! :-)
They were a thing back in the day. Lol. Not sure if these are old or if they have made a comeback. Thanks for your comment Aged Goodness.

Hi, the silver happy birthday charm is from the 1960's into early 70s. Could be sterling! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for the information Cheryl. I sure will check that charm. You are welcome! Thank you for watching.
The leaf was an earring. I have the same kind. I believe I bought it from Avon. And the brown stone with gold flecks are called sunstone.

The bracelet you thought had a look of turquoise I think it looks a lot like Larimar, which is a beautiful stone.
Thank you Lorraine. I have never heard of Larimar. But I will definitely look into it. I appreciate the information.

Do you think those wings could have been to pilots tiny for first year going up in years and size
I don't know Fran. I suppose anything is possible.
@@MyTreasureHunt do you even know what this person is trying to say, because I have no idea 😂
Yes, I believe Fran thinks these may be reward pins for the pilots advancements. Perhaps in rank and skill.

People saying it is junk did you click on this thinking the jewelry bag from value village will be full of cartier and graff diamonds?
Could not have said it better myself Rupert. Thank you for your comment.
if you carefully bend the ear post round on that very heavy but gorgeous earring, you could hang it on a chain or rope as a pendant ......
Thank you Alison May. That is a good idea that just might work. I appreciate the comment.
Wow, good and clever idea, u must make jewelry
I thought there is a 14k solid gold on it!
Which piece was that Ricky?
How much you dollars cost the bag
Your camera angle is good, the zoom is fine as it is & your nails look great. Love this video, thank you!!!
P.s. you got some really nice pieces.

Hi there the blue green beaded stretch is amazonite.
Hi Maria! Thank you for identifying the Amazonite bracelet for me. I sure do appreciate that.
Those winged dollar signs have to be used for salesman (employee) awards?
That is very possible SheLikesSteel. One day I will have to look into those a little further. Thanks for your comment.
Di is a cruise gimmick. You get the bracelet, and then add a charm at every port. Some of them are really cute.

Do you ask the thrift stores to sell you bulk jewelry? Or how do you get bags of it?
The jewelry is already in bags and jars when I buy it. Not all thrift stores carry them .
I like it all so nice to watch
Thank you Melinda.
Any comments
Did you say how much you paid and I missed it ?
I don't believe I mentioned the price in this video. The bag was marked $14.99 and I got 30% off. So I paid around $10.50.
Pretty rings! Nice bag of jewelry!
Thank you Karen. I like these bags. They are a lot of fun.
How much $ bag???
