wow id like to see the paint match on the doors hood and trunk. very difficult to see how they can match without painting them at the same time on the car when doing a candy apple paint job
@@tejasfelix5577 yes it could be off if your not consistant with overlaps and coats, I've done it many times and had no matching issue with kandys colors, i even paint truck beds separate from cab, bottom line you is you gotta know what your doing.
+Dan P I do this for a living and I know what works and doesn't, spaying everything from boats to plane's to car's. . and even low riders with custom candy's all day long so seeing this and trying show everyone , oh it's easy anyone can do it and you separately spray everything doesn't work, plan and simple, jamb it in first then bolt up the rest then spray outside, if it's a true House of colors candy's it takes 2 to 3 coats..
@@tejasfelix5577 i also do this as a bussines and i do paint parts separate like bumper covers even with HOK kandys colors, i dont even paint jams separate , like i said you have to know what your doing to do it this way, wasnt saying anyone can do it cause it not easy. I've done it so many times with zero issues on color matching with HOK Uk colors not Bc. Done on silver and gold base. Yes i know the way your saying how to do it will work cause i use to do it that way, but been doing it so long you find other ways to do it. But your right its not easy.
as long as your spray the doors exactly the same as the rest of the car, same coverage coats and overlap.. the color with be ok. I just did a spot job on a candy apple red chevy
carlos gomez the candy is transparent so what u put under it will effect the over all color a silver will be more bright a gold wold make it look darker u can even put a matalic gray or black I once shot candy Brandy wine over a black base
carlos gomez you could use white but you wont have any metalic showing through candy, unless you throw micro flakes on top of the white then spray candy on top. Silver or gold would be used most.
you can put it on as soon as you finish spraying base, but after it flashes off. Every paint brand has a max time you can wait before clearing, for example Sherwin Williams says no longer than 7 days after spraying base coat.
Blair Wise why? his an experienced painter with metallics or Kandy paint you can't just stop otherwise you'll have uneven paint all over the place. flicking the wrist flares out the material so it is not congregated in once section and allows you to go back in where you left of for the right amount of coverage. this guy knows what his doing.
Joe Alvardo Or the hood...should do jambs, then assemble the car and "walk" it front to back. I've seen guys pull it off, but it's difficulty level 100 lol. Easier to shoot assembled.
Haha , human vs robot, human is better and organic, the result is the same , perfection is to know that nothink is perfect, the perfection is to achieve the result and live happy with it.., In tecnical ways it really donst matter is not a full candy job and nobody will notice that, u need to do that always, te coverage is never the same on repainted substracts
This has to be fake there is no way that gun is going to shoot that much paint and not run out. and would you take a chance of running out of paint on a candy job
Yikes....video cuts just moments after that paint hopper drags across the front end. Pause and rewind nice silver upward streak left behind just beside the right headlight... that's unfortunate. Started rushing toward the end.
Ken Sendelofski he would have lost a lot of paint trying to walk the distance of this car .it was pretty much already broken into segments. He walked what was necessary though like the upper fenders
Exactly You should always walk the length of the vehicle. However you need to use your brain and if the car is already conveniently broken into straight line segments you don't have to walk the length of the car. Basically the idea is if you stop you will see blotches or patches. There are circumstances where you won't be able to do that. Like a front or a rear bumper for example.
Thats not cooper. Thats too red, cuzz when i sprayed what i had it wasn't red enough. Ill send you some of my pearl, if you send my some of your. Then youll know exactly what im talkin bout for real. Kcmo usa.
first, he's going way to fast until he starts about 50 or 60 % of the work second ,not all the part's are on.. it they all need to be on to match, and third this paint isn't cheap so you can Imagine what it's going to cost if he has to redo it.. both time and labor. .
Overall the way that vehicle is lifted in the air and broken into segments.
This is an easy candy paint job.
He did a great job.
Must be HVLP, I thought you were NEVER going to run out of paint! Very precise spraying indeed !
I wouldn’t have masked it with plastic it could flake off onto the paint when unmasking
@@petersavage5040 unless, it's a coated plastic, made for spray paint
wow what a color !!!!!
looks like radiance. nice.
Beautiful
Very good so fast the pain goes a long way how many coats do you need ..??
Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
where is a pic of the finished car?
Personally I thought the color was more of a tangerine or metallic maroon color, still very smooth look from this perspective. Nice work
Hey donde consigo una pistola de esas q no se acaba la pintura..
his over lap is very tight, kinda looks like hes double passing, but a very nice and even first coat. first two coats are important for candy.
🙄☺😗
Quantas mão de tinta vermelho você deu
Muy buenos
Interesting , what brand of gun does he use and what modle?
Mooi man
Could that be a LvLp spraygun with all the overlap.
Nice one bruh
Master Painter,
Great job boertjie
Que tinta e essa meu querido pu serviço top em
paint gun lays a nice big scratch in the front end @6:21... ouch...
That one scratch turned this whole job into a disaster, you can't touch up candy.
I wonder how they fixed this.
What brand of Kandy do you use?
Goog job
O prata é pra cobertura ou efeito pro vermelho?
Muito bom parabéns...

N0 stock Austin Healey 3000 was ever painted Candy Apple Red. I know - because I had one when I was 17 years old.

What is a cooper Healey ? never heard of that one before !
Jim Hall it's a classic 60s English sports car it's called an Austin Healy I believe it's a typo he meant to say copper as in color not Cooper
Why is a first coat going on so thick
stephen O think he’s use to painting vans with 2k 🤫.
Is Austin Healey surly?
I have a question why use candy apple red with silver?
carlos gomez the sun or light will reflect the "candy color of choice"- "candy" apple "RED"
carlos gomez the candy is transparent so what u put under it will effect the over all color a silver will be more bright a gold wold make it look darker u can even put a matalic gray or black I once shot candy Brandy wine over a black base
Andrew Ybarra I was thinking of putting it on top of the white color, but I see that it is better to use the silver! 👍👍
carlos gomez you could use white but you wont have any metalic showing through candy, unless you throw micro flakes on top of the white then spray candy on top. Silver or gold would be used most.
it's a tri-stage if you don't know about paint , hear you go.. real candy is a tri-stage. not just out of the bottle. this guy is going to fast. .
A question when you paint the car how long do you wait to put the clear
you can put it on as soon as you finish spraying base, but after it flashes off. Every paint brand has a max time you can wait before clearing, for example Sherwin Williams says no longer than 7 days after spraying base coat.
Alex R ok thanks
No save 😔
Anyone else like the silver better?

Good job,laying that candy
Went home with base face hands eyes . Next thing your say is water base isn’t poisonous ahaaaaaa!!!!…… get your air fed on for god sake
Good chance the doors don't match

His spray technique is very repetitive and his back and forth rhythm will cover pretty evenly as he is very consistent.
BEAUTIFUL COLOR BUT THE FRONT WHEN BEEN SPRAYED THE PASSES HE MADE are not even drivers side more than passengers side.

There's a cut at 2:50 -- refilled for the forward sections.
you must know nothing about spraying vehicles , plus , he did refill at least once.
Yikes....video cuts just moments after that paint hopper drags across the front end. Pause and rewind nice silver upward streak left behind just beside the right headlight... that's unfortunate. Started rushing toward the end.
No eye / face protection.
It's not really warranted in a booth like that one, provided he has sufficient breathing apparatus that's ok.
I thought you were supposed to go from edge to edge instead of pannel to pannel
C-64 .I've seen a few videos where the painter would walk the length of the car, to get the paint consistent. I guess it's just personal preference.
Ken Sendelofski he would have lost a lot of paint trying to walk the distance of this car .it was pretty much already broken into segments. He walked what was necessary though like the upper fenders

Pressure high as shit
Looks to be a bit more to the orange side than red
Because it's the first coat. Every next coat of candy paint will make it a deeper and darker red.
