His voice isn't quite so good as Mayer's but as a composer he blows way past Mayer and his music is far more affecting. Unfortunately, mainstream recognition has eluded him and he has been relegated to 1-hit wonder status as of now.
John Mayer can be names one of the greatest guitarists of our time? False. That just shows how limited your spectrum of music is. That statement is so wrong that it kind of hurt to read.
False? Haha are you kidding me? Of course there are better guitarists, but I'm not comparing him to a Steve Vai or a Joe Satriani. There will always be someone better, famous or not. The fact that you seemingly are denying Mayer's music influence shows how limited and ignorant you are, which also is a pain to read. John Mayer is not only great just because he has great guitar skills, but also in that he has been one of the most influential guitarists of the 2000's. That's what makes him great.
@josh villarin i like john mayer saw him live a few time in ohio. his born and raise album in 2o12 was good. saw him in akron.ohio. teddy geiger saw him when he tour with ryan cabrera in akron.ohio in 2012.
Um, no. He has a good voice, but he will never be able to musically compare to John Mayer. John Mayer not only has a unique voice, but he can also be named one of the greater guitarists of our time.
