They love zucchini and cucumber! You can also use clean eggshells in your tank, but it’s kind of messy. Limestone works good and also Weco Wondershell works amazing!
@@TCS_AquaticsI blend the eggshells and when they are already powdered, I add water to dissolve it and avoid adding crushed egg residue, it works well.
Hey Harlan , lots of love from India 🇮🇳 ❤️..let's hope you remember one day when you have millions of subscribers 😊 ❤️ Loving the channel since a long time ❤🎉
Loads of great information Harland! A tip I learned when 🎉attempting to breed them is the males are only about the size of a large marble, while the females grow twice that size. After watching ur video I am super excited to try out your floating mesh gadget. Unfortunately I am not good at remembering to mist them, and I have had poor results. Also, I think my Koi like to eat the babies before their shells are hard.
I've been told by an old bloke that used to breed them for wholesale they he used to feed them Turkey pellets, but you have to watch the one you get as some have bird wormer added and that would kill the snails but otherwise apparently they are really good for the snails as they have everything they need including the calcium for their shells and it's pretty cheap so a bonus, he used to breed them in farm dams.
I'm not sure if this is the video I watched that showed you can just splash the clutches with water . My snails lay on the lid because I close it every night. So instead of putting them in a container I just leave them there and splash them once or twice a day and then when they are ready I gently roll the clutch in my fingers in the water and the baby snails go into the tank. Now I've got hundreds.
I got one mystery snail and the rest a questionable lol which is 6 don’t know the kind so they just had eggs just one my question is should I keep the first one since I only have 7 I just don’t want a lot but I know they don’t live that long
@@raygsr5186 they will hatch as well just if you don’t splash with water the hatch rate will be less, it’s just more practical for me to use the tray when producing numbers in a controlled environment. Leaving to hatch on the glass is fine though, will still work. :)
@@NEXTUP69It is very easy to tell about the yellow (or golden) mystery snails, in the female the first wheels of its spiral are dark (marking the ovaries) and in the male there are no color differences, that is, it is all uniform yellow. I don't know if this also works on other colors, I've only had yellow ones.
It should be a crime to breed these. I had a group of a dozen purple ones and they would produce 12+ clutches every week. You can't sell them quick enough.
They need zucchini or cucumber for the calcium. Good luck with your baby snails!

When I bred them the best thing for them was canned, unsalted green beans. Low mortality rate, beautiful shells and growth
perfect

I used to breed mystery snails by the thousands it was so much fun
I have 8 of them not a single one is laying egg i had them for more than 6 months i think all of them are male or female
I had two and they laid eggs like crazy but none ever hatched. 😢
@@charlottesmom ngl today only I found small egg cluch hopefully it will hatch
BRO SAME
I do have a pregnant one I think and I try to feed her cucumbers and lettuce
@@George_41 yesterday I got another cluch hopefully they will hatch
Did we just watch snail 🌽? 🤣🤣🤣🤣😇😇😇😇
yes sirrr
😂😂
Wonderful video 🥰
Leave eggs attached to glass for a day or 2. Use something to scrap off glass delicately, using your hands is crushing them
Where did you get the grill for the clutches or how did you make it?
Good question I’m wondering the same. When you find out please let me know 😊

How long does this usually take?
How many months apple snail become adult?
Where did you get the grill for laying the eggs you took off the glass or how did you make it ????
its all in my new video about mystery snails... its really easy to make, basically just silicone styro to mesh

I want to keep the largest mystery snail available. What kind of mystery snail do you advise? Thanks.

@@HarlanFord thanks
Mine love zucchini but don't seem to like cucumber.
How to tell which one is a male and which one is a female?
Males are only about half the size of females (marble size males, golf ball females
It is pretty hard to tell there is vid available on RUclips

They can also carry the larvae of murder hornets like they did a few years ago.

Indeed, same thing happened with my yellow ones
I sell them like crazy 🤣
Not a crime if you have puffer fish. Free food supply
Smash the eggs you dunce don't ban them because you're ignorant on how to care for them
My ducks take care of them ❤️
😊❤😊😊😮
Wtf were those sound effects
🤣 yeah looking back on it. 😅
