Thank you Yamaha, I’ve been waiting for ver 2. I was hoping for Send / Return FX, built-in looper, and included G10 replay module for the higher price. Still tempting nonetheless. Bluetooth backing tracks are nice, I’m likely to buy this upon release.
sounds pretty good but on most of the settings feels like you should bring the treble down on the EQ. gets very harsh sounding with those single coils.
I use the Yamaha THR10c exclusively for jazz and it's perfect. This amp has all of the sounds from the THR10C, THR10X and THR10 so I think this would do what you need.
horribly recorded. boosted treble in all examples. i own THR10X, and have played all the older models. those tiny speakers sound good sitting next to them, but microphones capturing it can be tricky. when i record direct line in, it always sounds better than this. i do little more than get levels right to avoid clipping.

It's a modelling amp so I think most people are not really going to need to use any additional pedals.

Yamaha!! Great job BUT you have to play songs people know, show that the amp is capable of doing the sounds we hear on the albums.
