"Red Alert 2 World Series" Event #19 (2023)
This is a monthly cash-prize tournament that is split into three different game modes: Standard RA2, Yuri's Revenge, and Blitz. For each mode, we separate players into divisions based on their skill level: Pro, Semi-Pro, D1, D2, D3, D4, and D5 (for the noobies!).

Hey everyone! My name's Iver. Welcome to my channel: RA2 World Series. I host and stream pro Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 (Yuri's Revenge) games... and give the winners cash :)
My channel features a variety of RA2 gameplay, including professional 1v1 matches, 2v2 games, show-matches, multi-player, free-for-all (FFA), tournaments, and cash prize events. We also feature helpful tutorials, strategies, and walk-throughs, with tips/tricks for new players. I focus mostly on PvP, but I also do PvE occasionally, like 1v7 Brutal AI Enemy challenges, Allied Campaign, and Soviet Campaign games.
"Red Alert 2 Remastered" has yet to officially release, but until it does, I've created a variety of custom maps, tiny maps, survival maps, and mod maps to keep us all entertained! We have a great community of players of all skill levels... download the game today, and come play with us! :)

This is a Red Alert 2 game mode of my own creation. Tiny-map, no ore, build oil for money (max 12 oils). All Allied get all Allied bonuses (minus France), all Soviet get all Soviet bonuses. There is a 10min game timer. No engineers allowed.

Tim really started well but he did not continue like the start and lost it mid game, he made a lot of mistakes and was scared of desos when they weren't that much. In addition he did not micro his miners at all. He should have won this but Quien was patient and did not give up and and got out of it alive. Thanks Iver for the streaming and the amazing commentary.
Yeah it's much like chess in the way that the complexity and attention demands keeps growing as the game goes longer - very tough to keep up with someone like Qien

Tim played well, he just needed to use more of what allies has, like ifv repairing damaged tanks, Tanya, spy and chrono legionnaire.
Yeah that is definitely more of the style in yours revenge in Red Alert 2 at the top level you do see a lot of players kind of play like this very Bare Bones Grizzlies dogs and rockies. He almost got it done honestly. Qien just had some really really nice holds. But you are right, when he lost mcv and battellab so he couldn't diversify that was the end

I feel like he lost once he pulled off the offensive. Soviet army was obliterated after that engagement in mid game. He was down like 10K worth of units.

@@Iver Thanks for the replies. I actually did go ahead and buy this last month because of your videos. Had time to play the campaigns on hard before Diablo 4 came out, we'll see if I get into some low tier pvp. I was just a kid on laggy internet trying to play ToE crates or all random with d0minat0r in sedona pass I think it was. Good times in ~2002-04

this is why i quit playing this game, so stupid unbalanced towards soviets. allies have to play perfectly, where soviets have such a large margin for error/get out of jail free cards.
I actually like that part of the game. If you wanna keep it simple you can play soviet, if you want a challenge you can play allied. Allied in the right hands is very strong. You just have to be an artist. Mid-levels quite a few people use it. Top level only about 25% of pros can win with Allied. Wudi - #1 player in China right now uses allied only and wrecks everyone.
@@Iver yeah i get it. honestly i'm just glad the pro/tournament scene has largely acknowledged that it is not balanced. i remember back in the day when sov players would pretend their side wasn't op. its just sad that EA bought the c&c franchise and ran it into the ground. at least blizzard still supports their legacy titles, though i do like what the community is trying to do to maintain it on their own
