here's someone i know...so familiar but didn't know he could make puppy eyes when caught with candies. I may even call him my favourite cute face amongst the cards. The colours are so amazingly used as always, showing where exactly lights and shades are in a picture frame.

Yeah, my thoughts too and especially so since I'm painting "Christmas" cards post Christmas. Sadly, if I tag on Birthday cards, it'll mess up my SEO and I am often using Christmas songs. Was going to paint the background blue again but when I painted the peppermints in the foreground, suddenly everything became pink ... the brush did it! I just watched, lol! And that cute mouse does not like being called a rat. Rats can never be cute, but mice do work at using their cute charm to steal tidbits from the kitchen 🤣🌸🐭And a very wonderful New Year to you!!! 🤗

You ask a good question... 😊 without peeking I'm divided between the Penguin and the 3 Kings. There's something attractive and appealing about this painting. The dichromatic is surely one of them. But also the background, looks out of focus, bringing the attention to the mouse. I love them all and I don't want to pick a favorite. But this one is way up there 😍👍👍
So diplomatic not to choose, and appreciate that comment on the somewhat blurry background. Have to say it wasn't consciously done but now will plan this method more for future paintings. And the answer to the color question is the naughty squirrel. The clue is the red that was used - the quin red. But kudos! So far you're the only one who has attempted an answer! 🤩🐭🤩

Yeah, my thoughts too and especially so since I'm painting "Christmas" cards post Christmas. Sadly, if I tag on Birthday cards, it'll mess up my SEO and I am often using Christmas songs. Arg, BUT I will market them on Fine Art America as multi-purpose! How's your marketing via other platforms going? Do you use them? 🤗

Was going to paint the background blue again but when I painted the peppermints in the foreground, suddenly everything became pink ... the brush did it! I just watched, lol! And that cute mouse does not like being called a rat. Rats can never be cute, but mice do work at using their cute charm to steal tidbits from the kitchen 🤣🌸🐭And a very wonderful New Year to you!!! 🤗

You ask a good question... 😊 without peeking I'm divided between the Penguin and the 3 Kings. There's something attractive and appealing about this painting. The dichromatic is surely one of them. But also the background, looks out of focus, bringing the attention to the mouse. I love them all and I don't want to pick a favorite. But this one is way up there 😍👍👍
So diplomatic not to choose, and appreciate that comment on the somewhat blurry background. Have to say it wasn't consciously done but now will plan this method more for future paintings. And the answer to the color question is the naughty squirrel. The clue is the red that was used - the quin red. But kudos! So far you're the only one who has attempted an answer! 🤩🐭🤩
