MACV SOG Recon man John Good #3

John comes back to chat with us for another hour. This is our third chat. We find out what John did after MACV SOG.....leaving the army did John return to Vietnam? Hell yes! In a different role this time. Still close to the enemy at times. One of the most interesting things about John was he was there for the fall of Saigon, only the U.S Embassy was left. Before he left his HQ he shot up the radio equipment with a shotgun so it would not fall into enemy hands! You really need to hear the whole story from John.

In the beginning of this video the aircraft landing in a hot zone takes me back to Iraq in 03 flying across the berm in Kuwait into Iraq hitting 2 FARPs then two the LZ I was a infantry squad ldr and had no idea if the LZ was hot or cold believe me it makes you think. Greatest respect to the Vietnam veterans. In the beginning of my military career 1986 up to about 1992 or so my chain of command was filled with Vietnam veterans they were pretty high speed. Can you interview the guy mention by Norm Dooney in the book Ether Zone .. He has 4 tour 2 in sog 2 in Delta. . I cannot read because eye problem.. I read use Audio reading..my writing not so good
