I waited not so patiently for your perspective and you did not disappoint. I love your insight. When Apollo yelled at his mother saying he was paying the price for decisions she made in the past, he had only scratched the surface. Unfortunately the finale is only 29 mins, the shortest episode yet so we'll be left with a cliffhanger and more questions.

We need Brian’s story now. His episode giving his view on it. Was Brian aware Apollo is a Changling and like Emma was killing the Changling? Was Brian a Troll? He definitely is not a witch. So many questions. Great insightful review.

I feel like Apollo is kind of a Changeling, but only in that he’s another man’s child (so not an actual creature). Also, just like Apollo couldn’t see that “it’s not a baby”, Brian couldn’t see that Apollo wasn’t his baby. To me, it seemed that Brian was trying to kill Apollo out of selfishness, as opposed to the mothers’ needing to rid themselves of the monsters that replaced their real children. Then again, so many flashbacks with Brian make him seem supernatural, but maybe that’s because Lillian has some type of magic?
I can’t wait for the season finale, I know I’m probably way off!

I was waiting on your insights and as usual you did not disappoint. On my first watch of this episode I too was like WTF? Not for the acting which was phenominal. I hope Adina Porter wins an award for this, but because it raised more questions and I read the book and still don't know what is going on. They have to have a season 2 because there is no way they can wrap this up and answer all the questions in one more episode. I was thinking how she could have fit a whole man in that little suitcase so I'm not sure if Brian is in there ! I also was wondering what role was Kim playing? Was she her mother because the man she was talking to was the actor who played her and Emma's father or was she playing herself and she also had a child who was a changeling because she says It's not a baby! I am also wondering if when Lilian was seeing the vision above her with KG playing the role of an abusive man, and had "Charles Blackwood" rescue the lady, was she replaying herself because she definitely had trouble making ends meet so maybe she didn't just hook up with her married boss once and get pregnant but she turned a few tricks herself and he may have come to her rescue! I don't know, like I said I have more questions. I need you too continue to magnify some theories! Peace!

I read the book too, after starting the show between episodes 5 and 6, and ::::mild spoiler talk::::
I am pretty confused by a lot of the choices made in the last episode because it contradicts something that is an important detail of The Changeling novel pulled out of LaValle’s own life, so I no longer know what story is going to be told at all. As far as book plot they can’t finish in 29 min but there is also not that much left in the story, and I’m not sure how I feel about expanding whole seasons after the end. I thought it was an important part of the novel that you don’t know how things turn out after the “happily ever after”, so I don’t like the idea of getting a detailed narrative of their outcomes or rewriting their story to make the final set piece take 8 hours of tv. I’m hoping it leaves Apollo, Emma, and Brian where they belong and jumps to new main characters if they want to expand this fairy tale of a magical New York. If it does continue their story I really hope LaValle is the one to keep writing it

I don’t think Brian’s in the suitcase - they said there was a Trans Woman found dead in the hotel, and Lillian passes a Trans Woman in a gold dress (which she later puts on). I think she put Brian in the dress and left his body in the hotel room. I do agree that the suitcase holds some kind of entity though - idk, this is such a great episode and I can’t stop thinking about what everything means!

@miserycherub666 The suitcase does feel like a red herring to me - I think his body was left in the hotel with the gold dress.
The Trans woman wearing the same gold dress while handing the red suitcase to Lillian feels to me like she (Lillian) gave Brian that identity in death for the purpose of making him as insignificant and alone in America as she felt (he goes from white male cop to dead Trans person in a seedy hotel, making him unworthy of police attention in the 80s). Idk, I am probably waaay off.

I think Lillian did kill Brian, but with killing him, she partially did it by eating him as a sacrifice. I also still think her old boss/homeless man is Apollos actual father and that’s what caused Brian to go postal and attempt to kill Apollo. He saw AP as a reminder of what he was trying to have with Lillian

Man! That was a deep dive. 🔥
Ima go with the reflection on this 1. I think Lilly murked Brian and dressed him up like a drag queen, knowing no 1 would come looking for him and no 1 would question the death of a deviant. In the suitcase was Brian’s id clothes and personals. Maybe his hands and head Also there was something about room 200 but she asked for 205. I’m thinking something happened in 200 and she was going to jump in 205.

Peace and love bro as always the comedy you add to your videos makes it that much more enjoyable!
Here's my observation that whole hotel scene was a metaphor. Her interactions with Blackwood as Lester the hotel clerk was her seeking him out for help. Was Lillian a sex worker and is WWW Apollo's father or grandfather? I think Brian was used as the trans woman because Brian was a troll that (trans)formed into a human so she used him as a metaphor. Was Brian using the hot water to make Apollo reveal himself Lillian said she never forgot the 1st time Brian said its not a baby. I think Lillian killed Brian while pouring hot water on Apollo after she killed Brian I think he reveals his changeling form and then she killed Apollo i think that's why she was busted up at the hotel. I say this because were was Apollo at when she was at the hotel about to kill herself? And who and were did this Apollo come from. Lillian story is about 3 dead men, her bro Brian and Apollo. Did she make a deal with WWW and he's not satisfied with the deal so he comes to collect baby Brian. Bro when are going live I want to go back and forth and share thoughts with you!

Nah bro. Sorry to be the pessimist, but y'all are creating facts to suit theories and that's just not what the show is saying. It almost sounds more like she's an unreliable narrator. And even the writers are doing it on purpose. I don't think anything from her episode (hotel fantasy) can be taken as absolute fact. Because that's just not what it feels like it's even saying. If they want you to know something they straight up show it BUT Everything else seems metaphorical or left ambiguous so they can pick and choose which way to go with it. Honestly, besides William, everybody story seems ambiguous, or even imagined. But I definitely don't think this episode told us anything solid besides, she did kill Brian, and at some point she was with her boss.

“Guy in a dress” i really hope that this was you not realizing that that was a trans woman and not you willfully deciding to refer to her in that way. If it was an honest mistake, then that’s cool it happens, but if it wasn’t, I’ll be extremely disappointed. I love your videos and have been watching them since season 2 of From was still airing but as a trans person myself, I can’t keep supporting you if you’re someone that thinks it’s okay to misgender us.

    • @gemwilliams6486
      @gemwilliams6486 11 месяцев назад

@@ReelEnigmasandTheories The narrator says so. When Lillian is checking in to the motel, the narrator mentions a trans woman in a sparkling gold dress that was murdered and her body was found under a bed two weeks later. And since this is said in the scene right after we see the person in the gold dress outside the hotel, it implies that that’s who the narrator was talking about. Why would the narrator mention it and have us see someone other than Lillian in that gold dress if that’s not who he was talking about and those two things weren’t connected? We know that nothing we see in this show is an accident or a coincidence, we know that everything is deliberate and connected.
I could see this being easy to miss or overlook, especially if you’re not someone who’s well versed in queer stuff, though. I did not take how you referred to her in bad faith, as in my original comment I recognized that it could be an honest mistake. I simply just wanted to make sure that a creator I enjoy doesn’t have any ill will towards my community is all.
