Questions and thought. Is he going to say "By the Power of Grayskull"? To me that is more memorable than "I Have the Power". Also it looks like he is going to transform in front of TrapJaw or am I wrong. What if Man At Arms sends Teela for Adam and off screen Orko for Adora. They save Orko for the end or a post credit and he returns from Etheria saying something alongn the line of I've found Adora.

My dad made the castles for He Man for Matel. I also got to visit one of Matels offices and they had a huge display case for He Man and Barbie in the lobby when you walked in set up in a action scene, It was so cool to see. It was in about 84 85

Mindblowing! I remember playing hide and go seek and finding an unopened, Castle Greyskull, for my cousin who is my age! I remember being so fascinated by hiding under their bed because of that! The artwork was unreal! I was not jealous at all and somewhat confused since I already had one! I wonder if your dad any knowledge of how, Castle Greyskull, was portrayed in the cartoon where it used to be a creature that walked around to where and when it died and then the castles was made out of it and that's why it had the legs and feet! I guess they couldn't work that out as a toy at that point in time...if the concept was done at that point. I doubt it though as the example was literally only a few seconds long in the show. Is your dad still alive? How old was he back then and how old are you now?
This is my childhood. Playing with the toys, drawing the action heroes, watching the animated show. So many great memories. I hope they do this well.

@captnwinkle With a lesser actor, I'd agree, but Elba is a fine actor and a fan of the original cartoon. He may well be the best Man (at-arms) for the role.
I'm hopefully optimistic and keeping my fingers crossed.

Generations that came after the 80's don't know how great Saturday mornings were. You had He-Man, Transformers, Thundercats, Bravestar, M.A.S.K., G.I. Joe, Dungeons and Dragons, Voltron, and so on. O and of course My Little Pony....Wait. Who said that?
Can’t say I ever remember He-Man being on Saturday mornings. It was usually on 5 days a week just after all the kids got out of school. Of which I watched religiously when I should have been working on my homework 😅

My mom still has my old Masters of the Universe toys, in her basement. Along with my old Star Wars, GI Joe, Tonka trucks (the good, metal ones that aren’t plastic) and many others. My nephews played with them. A toy giveaway would be pretty cool, Charlie.
Back in the 80s, I would watch this in the morning with my dad, while he drank his coffee. This def brings back great memories!

Adam being Adam in the store pulling the "Vikor sword was so fun. They did a good of mixing the trailer up from near the beginning of movie and middle later in the movie.

I was 9 when the OG cartoon premiered in '83. The only figure I managed to find was Man-At-Arms with lots of removable armor. I own the series, it's been a part of most of my life. I don't feel so "old" as I do privileged to have grown up during the greatest decade for kids ever. Wouldn't trade it for anything. I hope this one does well.
I was 11 and also own the entire DVD set, including the Dolph Lundgren movie. Looking forward to the new toyline.
I had Castle Greyskull and Skeletor's lair, along with close to 20 action figures and both mounts. I am absolutely STOKED! LFG!!!

I still have most of the entire original collection...... Heavily played with but I have them.
About the only figure I never had was the original He-Man. I had Battle Armor He-Man, and Thunderpunch He-Man (which gave me a nasty powder burn), but never the original.

I sketched a comic titled Rastan ,based on these barbarians, they were Rastan and he-man and Conan.
It is about Rastan and he-man going through time to the future from their ancient past.
The idea was taken off a video game I had titled Rastan it does follow off the stages of that game in the comic but then become more like highlander (sort of), the plot has different twists and turns but the story still remains the same
Hundreds of my fans have seen it in darling downs and new England and northern beaches sydney where the comic went through many hands.
My friend rob loved this comic so much I gave it to him because I knew he would show everyone around Sydney this comic.
When I gave it to him the comic was starting to fall apart as it was read by many fans at house parties and colleges and also in universities.
Rastan was the best comic I had ever sketched.
It also has other comics attached to it that won prizes at high school book week two years in a row.
But unknown if the comic still exists.
But if it does, it would be valuable now since this movie has been released.
If my brother was still around, I think he would be going nuts for this movie!

Subscribed to your channel, really like how you cover and deliver information. As a very longtime fan of the Masters of the Universe I am really happy to see a He-Man movie that seems to be following the 80s Filmation lore. I would have been pleased if they went for the original canon as well, but that would have been jarring for most fans.
I think the casting is really solid, based upon our very limited exposure from the teaser and trailers so far. Short of having a separate actor for Prince Adam and acseparate one for He-Man I think they did a great job with the actor for Adam/He-Man. My dream cast would be to have this aactor be Prince Adam and upon his transformation Alan Ritchson be the He-Man. Both great actors and it would in a sense be more believable that the Eternians would see Adam and then see He-Man moments later and not think, "Huh, wait a minute!" My idea would be akin to the Incredible Hulk TV show having Bill Bixby as Banner and Lou Ferrigno as the Incredible Hulk. Think it could have sold the idea of Adam really transforming.
My prediction is if successful Hordak is the villain in second movie bringing on SheRa and in third movie King Hiss and the Snake Men

If they’re smart they can start with She Ra being Hordaks top lieutenant Despara who discovers her origin and leads the great rebellion against the Horde. That would make a great sequel
@sagepirotess6312 He Didn’t kill King Hiss just trapped the Snake Men in Snake Mountain that was their seat of power for a a few thousand years. The Snake Men used to be the main villains of ancient Eternia
He-man in this new action flick isn’t big enough or doesn’t have the appropriate body mass as depicted in the animated series. Should’ve found a bigger guy.

He-Man and Transformers were my two favorite cartoons/toy lines back then (yeah I’m that old also). I have the original He-Man toys like He-Man (even though one of my dogs chewed the hands off). I have Skeletor, Evil-Lyn, Beast Man, Trap Jaw and so many more originals. I have Castle GraySkull and the Sorceress as the bird and Orco. Now I’m not at all movie actor in any form but I have always would’ve loved to have been in a movie just once. I’m not saying I wanted to be a star. I could’ve been a side character, but I would just would love to have seen myself in a movie and this would be the movie I would have loved to be in. I don’t care if I would’ve been a minion in Skeletor’s castle. Truthfully, I never hated that He-Man movie with Dolph Lundgren but I promise you I’m gonna go watch this one in the theaters. On a sidenote, I have to say that as far as the Transformers movie is concerned, I do like them, but I hated that they changed them and they’re nothing like the toy line. I just never like that about the movies. I guess maybe they couldn’t do it for some reason. It just really never set well with me.

It’s just like what the alien movie I feel that I know this is a different topic but they messed up the alien movie and the original alien when I got the first alien story back in 1984 I believe when the movie started production and was coming out. I had the original where the alien itself had a clear helmet that goes on the head like clear helmet I don’t have that no more. I wish I had that because the box came in blue and they had the guy the first one that got killed from aliens from the first alien movie looking up at the alien I can never forget the box I don’t even have the first energizer robot before the energizer bunny. It was remote control. It was the one that they always put on a commercial so yes, I’m a big Mattel kid from all the way back in the dates we’re talking in at least 1979 all the way up so yes I’m an old head but I love all the toys. 😂

If I had one minor ‘issue’ is that Teela seems to be the one character that doesn’t resemble the cartoon version, eg the red hair and style with the ‘hair band’. She was easily as tall as Adam and looked quite imposing whereas here she just looks so ‘ordinary”.

I had quite a few of the Big Jim figures and accessories. Jim, Jeff, Josh, Dr. Steel, Warpath, the Whip... the Rescue Rig, the Howler dirt bike. This line may've been unsuccessful for Mattel, but it was a hit with me as a kid.

I really hope this is a good movie and they do it right. I grew up obsessed with He-Man in the 80s. I literally had every figure except the later ones. I had both Greyskull and snake mountain. Most vehicles and the slime pit. My brother worked in a department store and used to get the toys on discount and get first dibs on anything new. Unfortunately the Eternia set wasnt released in the UK. I gave them to my kids back in the early 2000s and they pretty much smashed it all to bits. I was gutted. Lesson learned lol. Great video pal 👍 ❤.

I am feeling really old now. I am 60 now and was 18 back in 1983 When He-Man Masters of the Universe first aired on tv. I never knew that they repurposed the Big Jim line into some of the He-Man merch. I had the original Big Jim and the Big Jim camper. I played with that for years and later on had the Action Jackson figures and the Action Jackson Tree House which was the exact same tree house they used and repurposed from the Planet of the Apes TV show line.
Add some CG muscles in on He-Man. We won’t mind.

He-Man's mother being from earth makes so much sense sending him back to earth where she assumed he'd be safe. In the 80's cartoon series He-Man's mother was deep in space and got pulled into a "Blackhole Vortex into another galaxy and crashed landed on Eternia and eventually fell in love with the King. Man-At-Arms adopted daughter "Teela looks fantastic. Watching He-Man using the "Power Sword is so awesome.🤩

I absolutely loved He-Man And The Masters Of The Universe. When I was a kid, growing up in the 80s, I never missed a single show, I had a ton of He-Man action figures and I even had "He-Man" themed birthday parties. It was my number 1 favorite show. I loved the stories, the lore and the lessons it taught. I really miss those times. We didn't have internet so we played outside and used our imaginations, our videogames were either at the mall in an arcade, the local 7-11 or the pizzeria and at home we had the Atari and then the Nintendo. I won't say life was easier back then, but it was a lot better. What does everyone else think? What are some of your memories?

I had just about every MOTU action figure ever created including Hordak and his minions the She-Ra line, Snake Men, the Rock people as well as most of the vehicles and of course Castle Greyskull and Snake Mountain, however I lost them all in a house fire. Heartbreaking for 10 year old MOTU fan that spent his whole life collecting those toys, so for me & I'm sure for many others the toy giveaways would be AMAZING! I had all the original he man and transform toys from the 80s I wish I still had them I had my all my toys whenever I was living out in Utah and my my step dad and all of us came back out They went back to get everything and they just threw all my toys away They would have been worth so much money😫😭😭

Ok I’m going to be 57 this year. I was a big He-Man fan, also I’m a big fan of magic so The Sorceress of GreySkull, Skeletor, Evil-Lyn Orco, etc are some of my favorite characters. When that Episode of “Teela’s Quest” that revealed her lineage I was so excited & yet they never paid that off in the Original series. I think series is going to so much better than the one in 1987 (Oooofff) As a fan 8 hope it does well so that we get many mote sequels.
It makes sense to cast those actors for Skeletor and Man at Arms; they grew up in the 80s. So did I, and I know how emotional this is for them. I watched He-Man back in those days. It was magical.
I know Man at Arms was Teela's father, but now I understand that she was adopted by Man at Arms.

and regarding Big Jim - they not so unsuccessful in Austria. I have had more or less everything from them, still have and I have "both" battle cats... the Big Jim "Jungle Tiger" in orange/black and Battle Cat in green/orange 🙂.
Big Jim were amazing... flexing biceps and button on the back which let the right arm do a chopping motion... FUCKING AMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZING! 😀🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
That statue holding hemans sword in the toy store isnt Conan but a character called Vikor. But He-man was created as a Barabarian character (Conan) as per the mini comics.
