I’m curious as to what makes the Rcf sound better? Is it a better amplifier, better woofer, better horn, or better enclosure? I’d be interested to see someone swap components and test the results…
Superior spec electronics & high grade components throughout. The cabinet is also extremely solid & rigid with added stiffening. A swap of components will result in extreme resonance from the DBR cabinet which isn't capable of handling the performance output of the RCF components
A handle on top? What are we talking about here. “Speaker should look plain”. Crassly Irrelevant. The reason RCF is 3x is coil, crossover, design, internal topology, spread, warranty, features and speaker construction to name only a few topics missed. Handles on the top and look should not even register in buying a speaker imho. Would have loved to hear a proper technical conversation, video missed on all marks.
Which Is The Best Loudspeaker for Live Show Only For Vocal Like Singing & lecture No Music Only Vocal Qsc CP 12 Yamaha dbr 12 Ev zlx 12 p Mackie thump 15 JBL EON 612
To tell you the honest truth Faraz, I have only listened to 2 of those speakers and live vocals are not really something I specialise in. What I do know is that the ZLX & the DBR are definitely both special and both worth a listen. Hopefully somebody reading this thread will have more knowledge and be able to help you with your decision
This may be a it late but the Yamaha dbr12 is definitely the way to go. I own two dbr15s, a dbr10 and use to own two Mackie thump 12s. The dbr series is surprisingly a pretty significant upgrade over the thumps, in both sound quality and volume. I've also heard the zlx15s and I wasn't that impressed by them. The bass response wasn't really anything to write home about and the dbrs just generally sounded much better, and get louder. (The reason why I bought two dbr15s over two zlx15s). I also own a Yamaha dxs18xlf which is their flagship powered 18, and an absolute beast in that regard (better than a JBL srx818sp, vrx918sp, ev etx18sp and qsc kw181) and the dbr15s can easily out do it in output. They could probably even out do two of them! They are by far the best bang for your buck, and you can't go wrong with them. The JBL eon615s aren't great, I've heard they're worse than the older eon515xt, and the qsc cp12 isn't that special either, although better than the eons. All in all I'd get the dbrs. If you can't get them then the ev zlxs are the next best in this category
I'v owned the DBR12 and the ZLX12 BT for live shows. Although great sound, the BT on the ZLX sux out of the box and the amp get extremely hot to touch one hour into a 3 hour gig, I've heard reliable issues on the ZLX however after 6 months, no issues with mine. The DBR12 on the other hand, solid sound, amp runs much cooler and very nice to look at and has a cooling fan which one could argue might just help longevity, and $100 less than the ZLX. I sold the ZLX and have two DBR12's.
Just got some Yamaha DBRs to replace bigger EONs. Based on your list, I'd go with either of the first two (I'd lean toward Yamaha, but QSC are fine too -- my church has some that work great) and ignore the bottom 3. I'd stay way away from the Mackies. Sorry, I just haven't heard good things about them from anyone that's used them heavily.
Well this comparaison is not fair : RCF 745A is 4.0” voice coil and the Yamaha DBR15 is 2.5” voice coil and by far Yamaha is the best sounding , quality componements and superior durability . I have a suggestion here : change both drivers of the DBR15 from 2.5" to 4" (Eminence) like Most of California djs do to upgrade their speakers and you will see who really wins the battle , have a nice day man.
nasreddine mrabet ... Wow I Didn’t Know You Could Do That With The Eminence tweeters & the powered speakers in doing that with that Yamaha does it really sound that much better? Can I do this to my QSC KW152’s
@@DJHOLLYWOODAMG I only recommend do that modification if the specs of power requirment of the tweeters match with the power capacity of the amp. I think the active speakers of that serius marks sound really good becuase thay match the power supply, fase, adding DSP and processing. Its like have a profesional Ingeneer inside the box. Im not a professional ingeneering but I have read about of that matters. I hope that answer your question. I personaly work with Yamaha (live sound and audio rental),
Weak front grills 3 yr warranty I wouldn’t recommend, turbosound lots of complaints about them, really comes down to EV,QSC,Yamaha for active powered speakers all these brands offer 5 yrs or more.

in Lithuania, the price is 100€ different
Yamaha 7 year warranty vs 3 years from RCF should be a consideration for gigging.
Trust me, if RCF amplifier fails, you`r gonna throw away that cabinet
Would have been nice to hear them both?? Even though it depends on your PC setup at least you would get some idea??
If the difference wasn't so obvious maybe but you can't beat a store demo

for reasons of customs taxes in Italy the yamaha are more expensive
mah dipende cosa devi comprare e a che scopo

I recently picked up the Yamahas from 2012. They sound okay but compared to newer EVs they are total crap. I guess that is expected.
Have you used turbosound IQ ?

RCF Art 745 is nowhere near the flagship of RCF's offerings. TT Series is the real flagship (with NX shortly behind it).
