- Back playing with earthtones, Vallejo Pearl Medium, and interference paints. My cloud mix is made with Vallejo pearl medium and artist loft soft body white paint. All of my paints are mixed about 2.5 Parts Pouring Medium to 1 Part Paint. My pouring medium is American Floetrol.

I loved the few teeny wisps of the brighter green in the lower portion. The dried final product made me think old Japanese prints. Not only the water wave effect, but the colors.

Absolutely gorgeous! Love the natural colors and the really organic look of the clouds. The completed painting reminds me of the shapes and colors you see when ocean waves hit the rocks along the N. California shoreline

@DebbiePagtalonia yes! I'm only a plane ride away. I would really like to do a west coast class, the hardest part is facility and the cost to rent it. I never want to charge astronomical prices simply to cover the fee to use but it may be unavoidable out there.

How do you mix powder mica paints in order to.make your clouds mixture
Hi Garrick….I followed your recipe for PM with tube paints. Do I use the same recipes for pigments?

Kinda of! So I make the pigment into a paste first and then play it by ear so it's hard to say. It also depends on the pigment too. Usually you can use less pouring medium to match the consistency of the paints.
