Exactly! Last years concert at xjazz, berlin was not even sold out...I hope more people attend this year! It was just astonishing and perfect, for sure one of the top 5 concerts i've EVER seen!
Blows my mind how much contol adam betts has. any drummer that can take on this monster of a song is brave. Also look up his band 3 trapped tigers there newest album is fucking insane
A friend who has effectively, and clinically, lost his mind introduced me to the wonders of Tom Jenkinson's genius, and this iteration of his manifesto is mad COOL!!
I've been loving the Shobaleader versions of old Pearsqoosher songs. Glad to see there'll be an album of them. Just wish Aphex would do the same with his songs.
Weary Sigh I can't imagine which tracks from AFX could be covered like this, as his sounds either ranges from emptiness in space, to being thrown in a dustbin filled with nuts and bolts and down 5 flights of stairs.
In case Bioware decides to ever return to an amusement quarter on a certain space station, which I am sure many would like them to, this album appears to be the perfect soundtrack for it.
That image that came with the announcement is fuckin fantastic. Makes me feel like the band are beings from another metaphysical dimension who have come with a specific esoteric agenda to advanced human consciousness in the form of hi-speed breakbeats haha
@@norwardradtke1361 i should throw in the words "Advaita Vedanta," too! even tho im far from fully realized, i know these teachings to be immensely helpful (and true??). peace and love to you!
Hehe, for me i's like .. I've only recently learned that Ceephax is SP's brother .. and I kinda got the idea they're like "Bill and Ted" here to unite ppl with outlandish music .. after watching interviews with each tho, I realize they're not _quite_ like Bill & Ted .. Ceephax maybe, Tom not so much. ;)
does anyone else listening to this and loving it have an ASD diagnosis? I’m just curious, I hate that people say that you have to be “intelligent” to listen to aphex or squarepusher or other “IDM” producers. It speaks to me and millions of others because it’s so layered and complex. Maybe they’re just speaking our language. For context I’m also a huge fan of DEP and it’s for the same reason I love this 😀
Tom himself is probably an aspie. Theres been more than a couple of anecdotes about him which really suggest it. Also the way he talks in interviews really seems more like hes talking with himself rather than being engaged in the conversation between two people
Narrator: “On the next episode of Samurai Jack…” Jack: “I do not know how long this will take.” **Whoosh; Cosmic-Like SFX** Ashi: “I should go with you.” Jack: “You cannot. It is something I must do on my own.” Ashi: “Guess I’ll just wait here.” **Danger soundtrack, Troll Army approaching, Ashi's dangerous stare** Narrator: “SAMURAI JACK! Next Saturday at 11:00 PM!” Ashi; (serious tone): “Where do you think you’re going?” Troll Leader: “Up to da mountain to kill da samurai, what’s it to you?” Narrator: “Only on Toonami.” **Ashi Punch!**
Is there really a human lala-ing in there because it’s so electronic which i love yet there’s a strange organic feel to it that I love, too anyone else hear it? I hear it in the original track as well
god I love this song... it was always atop (with or without any Orphic Priests) my funeral soundtrack list [yes I have one! flahbulb hired a PI to find my house once!] and uhh you don't need an essinestial sweatpants to say that, NO, THIS TRACK ISNT QUITE GOOD.... IN FACT IT WAILS!!!!! WORLD'S MOST GUY COVERING HIS OWN TRACK WITH A BAND!!!!! XLT TIL THE DAY I DIE!!! #IllegalExitFromTheGameGrid #37 #aphexedvexedin2017
This is actually part drill and bass, part fusion, part free jazz with just a splash of funky breaks. Nevertheless, it's one of the most colourful displays of musical expression EVER! Doesn't even need a label.
I love it, however I am (more or less) mildly annoyed by how the fourth note of the synth (now guitar) part comes just a bit later than in the original, aaaaah
So do I but I can't not be absolutely amazed by this being played by real human beings on real instruments and not just being programmed in some sequencing software :D
you haven't learned to appreciate music artists play shit like this LIVE like these gods yet i see. this is immensely difficult to coordinate properly. you know how intricate squarepusher's music is i guess. It's baffling they play it so accurately, i'm stunned. BOY when/if I see them live i'll just die. maybe you should attend concerts some times the sound is completely different it doesn't have that "empty" sound to it. ignorance galore. :P :P :P :P P: P: P: P: :P :P: P: P: P:
These are hybrids, which by the way eat people who claim that studio albums sound empty, and they are the next generation of "Z-Machines". This may however under no circumstances whatsoever become public knowledge!
Those endless melodies give me such nostalgia. The drummer does Tom's brain justice.
my hair :(:(
This was such a great track, highlight of Big Loada EP
Come on my selector tho? I agree, this one is good too.
Massif stay strong wud b my pik
the synth part on the guitar sounds otherworldly AMAZING
This tune just drips hope and enthusiasm - it's beautiful.
Yes, go see them live while they still exist.
Unfortunately musicians like this have trouble staying :(

If only they come to NY thought wtf?
Why doesnt NY get these nice things. =\
That one measure of 5/4 at 3:50 really does it for me 👍
Classic tune - such good vibes. Respect to the drummer - intimidating track to play on a kit.
Blows my mind how much contol adam betts has. any drummer that can take on this monster of a song is brave. Also look up his band 3 trapped tigers there newest album is fucking insane

That drummer is insane
Saw them live in Brooklyn
Saw them play this live at bangface. Fucking incredible. Was literally crying on the dancefloor.
"I do not know how long this will take..."
-Samurai Jack

What an accurate release date, now i know what i want for my birthday.

mt saint michael + saint micheals mount would be sick live
In case Bioware decides to ever return to an amusement quarter on a certain space station, which I am sure many would like them to, this album appears to be the perfect soundtrack for it.
so lucky to have seen these guys live
i envy you.
Long time listener. This song is epic!
soul and emotion operating on a higher level a higher frequency a higher vibration.
That image that came with the announcement is fuckin fantastic. Makes me feel like the band are beings from another metaphysical dimension who have come with a specific esoteric agenda to advanced human consciousness in the form of hi-speed breakbeats haha
If we break through the temporal, mechanistic, linear, materialistic views, that is EXACTLY what they are and what they are doing lmao.
@@norwardradtke1361 ^^^ lol it's true. that's the reality, and it's beautiful. i suggest meditation to all, as well.

This shit gave me a new heart beat!
Damn bro, I'm feeling this as much as the original. Very good shit!!!
Holy smokes, I'll take a copy
love this track in all forms...epic
throwing the tonic in at the end was a nice way to change it up a little
I like the production on this song
@ColoredSpaces
Love this so much man! Shobaleader!!

Who needs a clicktrack when your keyboardist is an atomic clock.
also I'm disappointed one of the videohelmets isn't an X so we could have a subtle PlayStation thing going on #DownWithRectangles!
wooooooowwwwwww....!!!!!!
Fuck yes

finally a new album is coming out :) I hate DnB but this is something special!! :D cheers
Squarepusher, with all the difference on drum and bass.
Eh, good try
This isn't DnB
This is actually part drill and bass, part fusion, part free jazz with just a splash of funky breaks. Nevertheless, it's one of the most colourful displays of musical expression EVER! Doesn't even need a label.
Well, perhaps a little label on the back of the masks, reminding the user not to forget the overnight recharge.
holy fuck
There back!
music....completed
vst used for melody?
Major sevenths...
samurai jack. season 5, episode 7 promo.
spicy sausage wrong remix my dude
Thats not even close to being the same song
Thats the 7am edition not live

dope ! GKOTV/YIKERS
I love it, however I am (more or less) mildly annoyed by how the fourth note of the synth (now guitar) part comes just a bit later than in the original, aaaaah
Hahahaha yes!
Squarepusher? :P
Brandon Stradling Yes, he's playing the bass here.
we are not worthy
41 downvoters deserve an old fashioned beatdown
at 200BPM
Samurai Jack?
Nope. Just Squarepusher
Thanks antwon fantwon
I prefer the album version from Big Loada.
So do I but I can't not be absolutely amazed by this being played by real human beings on real instruments and not just being programmed in some sequencing software :D
That compression is awful. Im so sad. WHo was in the booth fuckin el
Squarepusher formed a supergroup? I'm in.
Drums sound cack. Prefer the original by a long shot :(
Just know It's a real drummer.
stylistically great but his snare sounds like a dustbin lid
Tom's live snares often sound a little unusual.
the group sounds great live, believe me
ugh, theres always one...
Music might as well stop after this......
This used to be a good track :-P

Bret Horne well gee I been diggin squares shit for well over a decade now.. still diggin this..
Bret Horne The crisper sounding drums of the live performance give this album an edge over the studio tracks made *20 years ago*. Just saying.
true, but now it's much better
Unfortunatly, he worse than yesterday..
I liked it, but it was a bit too much...
Yo this sucks, it's like 4 people playing 4 different song ideas at the same time. Hate this drumming especially.
It's juste because you have 4 ears.
