I agree, but to a degree, that was possibly why. I remeber America was more Xenophobic or willfully ignorant towards Japan and their games back then, especially fighting games. Only Japanese games Americans did care about so far at he time was Resident Evil and Silent Hill.

But I believe it was due to the fact that back then, too many Americans were either too xenophobic towards Japan, or they wouldn't take the time/could if they wanted to, to learn many of the characters' names. If Capcom released these games today, Sengoku Basara might go places that it couldn't before.
@@etrotm1226 It really feels like a franchise that's like too ahead of its time, I agree. Plus, getting western audience into a series that's closely tied into a historical period and setting they're not familiar with is difficult in general, even until now. Coming from someone who generally enjoy folklore and history esp Asian history, I can't relate for sure. Modern gaming scene (at least within Asian audience, if Western speakers aren't into historical based games) would be much more open to them. IMO BASARA designs and vibe in general feel like typical anime-style fantasy games that are popular in late 2010s-now. WuWa who? ZZZ who? I only know Basara /j

It sounds like Tekken 3's arcade character select because that guitar you hear is a sample from the Zero G Funk Guitar sample disc. A lot of music in Tekken 3, and many others such as The House of the Dead, and I think Rayman, used samples from that disc. There use to b e a video showcasing every sample, but it's gone now.
better basara 2 than this game . my reason is : - the character is limited , not all can be get. - scorpio's and azure dragon's last boost attacks is not same when they are as enemy . U guys must be understand what i mean.

Bramble is not playable in Devil Kings, but she is in the Japanese version of BASARA 1.
