Thanks for your review. I just ordered a Ford Transit. Highlights: 3.5L V6 EcoBoost, 9150 GVWR, 6-Speed Auto with overdrive and select shift transmission, 3.31 Limited Slip, Vinyl Floor, Sync 3 w/NAV and larger screen, Rain Sensing Wipers, Blinkers on Mirrors, Lane Assist w/ Driver Alert, Rear Camera/Sensors/Beeper, TowHaul Mode w/Trailer Brake & amp; Plus Tow Package, Power Running Boards, 110 Outlet, Vanity Light and Mirror in visor, 10 way power adjustable driver and passenger seats. In your review you said: 1. Seats were not adjustable, but you can order both the driver and passenger seat with 10 way power adjustment. 2. Vinyl floor is not available, but you can order it with Vinyl. 3. That the side step was to small, but you can order it with the power side step which comes out more and is a bit lower to be able to fit your whole foot on it at any angle. 4. For families w/10 or less you can order the standard cab length and standard wheel base which has seating capacity for 10 (2/2/3/3) and it is available with Pewter Grey Leather, & the 10-Way Power Driver and Front-Passenger Seats & the vinyl floor you wanted. The long and extended length wheel base do not offer the leather.
Thank you so much for this!! As a mom of four so far, we are considering our next step since our Odyssey is older. This is exactly the kind of info I needed! Heading off to watch part 2. Blessings to your family!
We have the newer NV and we love it! This truck has been a godsend for my fam and I. We rent the transit when we travel out of town and I like the NV so much better and so do my children. They say that there is more room in the NV vs. the transit. The transit runs much more quietly though. One of the things that really bothered me about Transit was the tiny back up camera for such a large vehicle my goodness it's so tiny that it is ridiculous. I don't know why they have not made it larger in the newer models. Also everyone seems to have a Transit and the NV is rare where I live.......though I am starting to see it a little more frequently now and I like to think that we have something to do with that lol. I always get compliments and questions on it. Anyway thank you for such a greatly detailed review:)
very good review. I also wanted to point out that some people have kids, but also if you have two large dogs, and dog crates, you need size also. Also, if you need to go to Home Depot, the ability to carry stuff easily is important.
I get the same mileage with the six cylinder engine. It’s underpowered and shifts a lot. Wish I had the V8. Thx for the video...very good and thorough review.
I like you're review we have 4 kids but plan to have 6 and possibly adopt in the future as well. And I plan on running a daycare so I want to be able to get around and this was the perfect review to see both. I do want to point out though that you drove around TWICE without your little girl strapped in properly or at all. Her strap set needs to be lowered one and her straps need to be snug as a hug and you shouldn't be able to pinch any slack at the shoulders or thighs and the chest clip should be at armpit level. Also no coats should be worn in car seats ever, in a CRASH they can compress and leave you with so much room that they will be ejected from the seat.
O M GOODness... Great job first half...NV.... But remember, Max is MAX...12-MAX doesn't mean 12 + 5 carry-on-EACH-Person... I'll need to watch the rest later👌 Thanks for This !!
I love u for this.. I'm in the market.. these are the two I want.. I have 6 kids.. 7and8 coming in June.. with a n expedition. and yes! the chair flipping is going to drive me crazy with infant seats!!
I've never owned either the Nissan NV or the Ford Transit. So I have no way of making an assessment. But looking at the two, I find the NV more attractive from the front than the Ford Transit.
Exactly what I was looking for-moving onto the rest now.. THANK YOU for the mom review!!!! Also, so glad I'm not the only one that repeatedly says "Get in your seat!!" as we're loading up. lol
Have you driven it in snow? Im currently driving an all wheel drive Yukon Denali, but we are maxed out of seating now. We’re contemplating this for our family, but we get lots of snow here in Idaho. I know there are companies that offer the 4x4 conversions aftermarket. There is so much info out there but I’m struggling to find answers to the questions I have and I’m getting overwhelmed!
I have not driven in a lot of snow, but I have driven it in dustings of snow and ice. We get a lot of ice here, but not a lot of snow. It has done ok, not a lot of sliding and pretty good traction, but honestly, I would probably be pretty terrified to drive it in really bad weather. If you get tons of snow, I would lean more toward the NV over the transit.
Nissan is cheaper for a reason folks you get what you pay for. there is hundreds of thousands of ford transits driving around everyday compared to any other van in this size category and for the most part they have better ratings in every category then every other van out there
Honestly it I enjoyed them both! I don't necessarily have a preference. I like the transit because it has a short nose and that makes it slightly easier to drive, however the NV drives like a truck which makes it easier to park and maneuver in certain situations. I think the biggest preference for me is the trunk space! So that would make the NV the winner.
The Josephs Daily. Honestly they are about the same, but I would say the transit is a tad better because of that Eco boost. We get about 350 miles on the Ford Transit with a full tank. That V8 on our Nissan definitely drank gas a lot faster. Nissan does have a v6 option though.
Great review! My favorite part @ 18:22 where the kids are waiting for you and file out 2x2 from the house! lol, so sweet, waiting patiently for Momma. After watching Part 2, I had to come back and watch the kids again :) Have you thought about installing a small side step/running board for the kids? They have partial ones and one video I watched, the board tucked under the vehicle and you pulled it out. Just a thought. Here is one (can advance to 6:20 to see product) ruclips.net/video/ao4OozvoaNw/видео.html
Matthew Neubeck it did not fit into our garage. However, our ceilings are pretty low. I can’t give you an honest opinion about the snow. We are in the south so we do not get much snow. However, I have a friend in Canada who purchased the N.V and they love it!! She says it does extremely well in their winter months! It does have 4 wheel drive.
She doesn't know what she is talking about.. This van does not come in 4 wheel drive. only rear wheel drive. Its an outside company that can convert it to 4 wheel drive called quigley which does it for about $11,000.
Do you know why there are headrest? Do you know why they should NOT be removed? Do you love your kids? Put them back! That why there is a rearview camera. Use it please.
right dont buy anything just import a uk 🇬🇧 speck ford transit much better built and more economically gets around 49mpg combined from a 2.2 TDCI engine
Good van, but not as great as described in a video. 3500 model rides like an antique tractor if you dont remove rubber suspension weight supporters in between rear axle and a frame! My semi truck has a better turning radious then my nv3500. You will feel claustrophobic by seating in the far back seats and have van full. Rear seats doesnt recline or fold and super heavy to remove. Van does look ugly if you compaire it to a sprinter, ford or dodge van. Sound system is horrible, I got mine upgrated to JBL speakers, JBL amp and kicker sub under front pass seat. Had to take interior apart and add dynamat xtreme noise damping system that I purchased from crutchfield for $140 / 38 s.f. I believe to keep the road noise down and to get ried of an empty pepsi can feel. Does not come with remote start, entertainment centers DVDs screens or driver speaks into rear speaker system. Van only comes with 4 safety air bag system, 2 in the front and 2 long bags in a roof, one on each side! Does not offer sunroofs. Center rear view mirror is worthless because you cant really see anything in it especially when you have passengers, but side mirrors and good sized and extends for wider towing trailers. Does not offer automatic side close door. Does not offer rear automatic doors. Had to install the bug shield/hood protector on the front of the hood so wife can see where this super long hood ends to prevent hitting things. Entry steps doesnt come stock, and its impossible for kids to climb in without them, Amazon had good alluminum that were priced around $280? Rear seats has no arm rests. It is a gas sucker if you compaire it to a sprinter, diesel ford van or eco boost expedition or new diesel Escalade. Does not offer roof luggage railing. Does not offer push start button. Does not offer xenon lights or rain sensor for wipers. Center arm rest is strait from a cheap cargo van, that feels cheap, looks ugly and uncomfortable. I actually had mine wrapped in soft leather to match the seats. Only has one window in the back that can be opened from the bottom at about 2 inches from the van body, in which I believe is an emergency exit as well. Definitely not worth what its sold for! For The Goods: it is a Japanese engendered and American made so it it reliable. Has much less options then any modern automobile meaning less parts to brake, but since its a Nissan it shouldn't brake anyways. Towing capacity. 12 passenger's van. On the frame. Has a titan, armada or the big infinity suv feel when driven...
I was really interested in a review of the V8 on the Nissan Passenger Wagon. This is the only one I have found. Thank you. I was deciding between the Ford Transit Wagon and Ram Promaster. The Nissan does not look big enough.
Thanks for your review. I just ordered a Ford Transit. Highlights: 3.5L V6 EcoBoost, 9150 GVWR, 6-Speed Auto with overdrive and select shift transmission, 3.31 Limited Slip, Vinyl Floor, Sync 3 w/NAV and larger screen, Rain Sensing Wipers, Blinkers on Mirrors, Lane Assist w/ Driver Alert, Rear Camera/Sensors/Beeper, TowHaul Mode w/Trailer Brake & amp; Plus Tow Package, Power Running Boards, 110 Outlet, Vanity Light and Mirror in visor, 10 way power adjustable driver and passenger seats.
In your review you said:

The long and extended length wheel base do not offer the leather.
Did all those options add up on the Transit? I like that the Nissan is like a truck.
What kind of gas mph highway and in town?
Good luck towing
My Grandmother has this same van and there is 11 of us . She calls it the "BOSS"
Thank you so much for this!! As a mom of four so far, we are considering our next step since our Odyssey is older. This is exactly the kind of info I needed! Heading off to watch part 2. Blessings to your family!

truly beautiful I commend you and your beautiful large family this video has been a big help
Great video!!
❤️your family. Homeschool family here too. Only 5 kids so far.
Fantastic review. Boy, do I hear you on the lack of a mirror--what were they thinking?? Supergluing one to mine.
very good review. I also wanted to point out that some people have kids, but also if you have two large dogs, and dog crates, you need size also. Also, if you need to go to Home Depot, the ability to carry stuff easily is important.
Exactly. This is the perfect hybrid, just need to make the the engine sip less gas.
From the first time seeing the NV i've always wanted one. I appreciate this review!!
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this review!
I get the same mileage with the six cylinder engine. It’s underpowered and shifts a lot. Wish I had the V8. Thx for the video...very good and thorough review.
Hello, just wanted to let you know we bought the NV3500 ,2019 with the V6. Great van, thank you.
Best Van i ever see
I enjoyed this series! I'm having my 5th baby anyday & my Sienna holds 7... So no extra space
I see you also homeschool so I just subscribed :)
Yay! Thank you! Congratulations on blessing number 5!!

the small insert box is for an Aldi quarter
Beautiful family! Exact two vehicles we have been contemplating. Cool stuff
Thank you for your true intro..... get it with your female perspective... love it
I love u for this.. I'm in the market.. these are the two I want.. I have 6 kids.. 7and8 coming in June.. with a n expedition. and yes! the chair flipping is going to drive me crazy with infant seats!!
thanks for the review, from another mom of a large family! :)
my dodge journey is 16 mpg.... its only a V6 and 7 seater.
i like the nissan
Thank you for this awesome review , I’m going back and forth between these two vehicles!!
I think the NV has the same engine as your old armada. They are also both based on a titan truck chassis.
That would explain why transitioning to the NV from the armada was smooth!
If this is true then that engine will never give them problems we love our armada
Thank you so much for these reviews!
God bless you and your family
Thanks for the review! Have you been able to drive each of them in snow and compare how they do?
Ayyy Sister Greek!! I'm a Zeta! I loved this review. Thumbs up!
Wow! What a review! I feel you on that V8 because I have my first one and that is some power lol
Thank you for the review, your family is beautiful!!
My Transit leaked gallons of water into the driver side floor when it rained. I took it back and forced them to unwind the contract.
Omg.. I love you and this review!! Buying my nv tomorrow!!
really like the driver seat storage, that's really cool!
Also, so glad I'm not the only one that repeatedly says "Get in your seat!!" as we're loading up. lol
Followed by put on your seat belt! LOL Thank you for watching.
@@nontraditionalmommy Yes!!!! LOL
Please.what is the price for those two van.?
God bless your family. Thanks you for the nice review.
I hope someone already did a laser cut fitted mat ,
Xlnt!!! U do deserve a good clip-on mic, however. Better audio would greatly enhance your already good review.
Head rest is important for safety.
The NV is more American with the column shifter.

adorable family :) great review
Are there many top teathers?

This is the real soccer Mom.
Do have seats. Lay down ?
Since to heavy move.
Nissan.
Big help thank you!!!
I like Nissan's
How much was this I have a family of 7 wish I could afford one
I would get a used crossover like a pre owned Pathfinder, Explorer, or Acadia.
All of them seat 7 or 8 and are much more fuel efficient and less expensive
Yeah, less room too.
Do u really have 10 kids are some twins?
I have 12 kids now! 😊

I want something that seats 8 I wish I could get one
I want something that seats 8
Acadia would be the best choice :)
hi, passenger is so amazing
Just add a remote start and call it a day.
The Ford is the clear winner here , just look at the big nose what Nissan have and compare it to non exist ot Ford , great for parking
I would think, the Nissan look more rigid.
What kind of mileage does the SL V8 get ?
Yikes ~ 15 MPG !
Cute babies. Nice review
Thank you.
SHE DOESN'T seem to be familiar with the vehicle too much
Are all 10 kids yours? Any adopted?
Do you know why there are headrest? Do you know why they should NOT be removed? Do you love your kids? Put them back! That why there is a rearview camera. Use it please.

Garbage. Gutless on hills .poor in snow nv are cheap. Good Bluetooth and wipers and cruise control that's about it
Dam thats a football squad
