Saw Ghost for the first time a few weeks ago and they played this. It was a great moment. Of course during "put your hands up and reach for the sky, cry for absolution" everybody was hands to heaven. Luckily it was an outdoor venue! Great track, one of my favorites off that album (Meliora). Maybe only slightly edged out by From The Pinnacle To The Pit (which they also played, and was also a stormer). Enjoy your show man!
absolution is a damn incredible song, from the clever lyrics to the rhythm, its perfect. definitely up there in my favourites! i highly recommend reacting to deus in absentia, or monstrance clock if you havent done that one yet!

I went to the Chicago show. My 1st Ritual. They played Absolution. It was freaking amazing. I was hoping for Faith, but, this song is something live. Glad you're going to a Ritual yourself. IMPERA is Tobias Forge's love letter to 80s arena rock and metal, so it's not as "chunky" as Meliora or Infestissumam. This is one of my favorite Ghost tracks, though. Love it!

I was at the show in Saint Louis Mo on 8/11. One of the best times of my life after my kids.
