Thanks for the information, certainly a lot to learn with these things! Good luck with finding the perfect location, hope you have a great time looking, lots of good local roads to enjoy the BSA on all over Europe. If you can find it have a Ladron de Manzanas (cider) on me, always good.
Thank you very much Gav, this really is too kind. If there is anything else you would like to know please let me know and we'll do our best to find out. Thanks again for this hugely generous gesture. All the best, Sean 👍
Hey guys perhaps you might want to have a look at Portugal: Individuals of any nationality (including non-EU/EEA citizens) can potentially benefit from Portugal's NHR regime for 10 consecutive years if they qualify as a tax resident in Portugal and have not been taxed as a Portuguese tax resident in any of the five years preceding the year in which residence is established. Basically tax free living for 10 years. Hope this helps😉 regards Jay
Portugal will be Terminating Non-Habitual Resident (NHR) Tax Credit After 14 Years. Portugal's prime minister António Costa announced last October that the country would be terminating its non-habitual resident tax regime, which provided reduced tax benefits for foreigners moving to Portugal for the first 10 years.
Hey, if Suzie wants to speak in the background, as much as she does..., please get her a Mic. If she has something to be said then we wanna hear and understand what she has to say.... afterall, she has become as much a part of this channel now, as the BSA "used to be" !?!!
Hi Steve that's a good suggestion I had some thoughts about how we could do this, I have two mics but not two recorders. Perhaps we use one mic into the camera and one into the recording device. I'll have a experiment with it. Oh and the BSA is still part of the channel, if nothing seriously goes wrong with the bike I will keep it 😊😊
Hey guys, I didn’t realize you hadn’t yet made the final decision of where to live, and also how much flexibility you have in terms of passports/ visas, etc. Just my opinion and somewhat biased , due to having visited several times, the island of Crete is a place that I could live if I had the opportunity. Moderate climate year round, beaches everywhere, great food and ancient history all around you. Probably not as many good riding roads as in Spain or Portugal , but lots of twisties. Cheers and best wishes for finding your new home. Dan. ✌️🏍🇨🇦
Thanks Dan for a lovely supportive comment. It's a big decision/effort for us and a lot of stress behind the scenes so great to have encouragement along the way. Crete/Greece area is on our list, it's west/south facing so perfect for sun in the winters... Cheers, Sean
If you wanna settle in Spian and learn Spanish, then don't look for anywhere in Catalonia... speaking "proper" Spanish there, you'll always be foreigners. The Catalonians have their own (unofficial) language and resent the Spanish speakers, often showing them the cold shoulder. We had friends in Roses and used to periodically vist them when ours and their kids were yonger, and before they divorced, sold up and moved away. When up in Cadaques, I hope you visited the Pablo Picasso Home and Gardens, a very impressive and interesting visit that completely changed my ideas and thoughts about this crazy womanizing genius and his bizarre pictures, statues, and style of building, in-house and out in his wonderful gardens. Beautiful Natural unspoilt coastlines in this part of Spain, but the further down you go, the less spectacular and more commercial and built up they become. That's Tourismus for ya!
We would be better off speaking French I guess than Madrid Spanish in this region 😂. We only went around Cadaques briefly but we are going back up there in a week or so to look around more. Yes slowly learning that up here is the traditional feeling part of the coastline with forests villas and secluded coves on the Costa del sol they have over developed it seems, there's also big long flat beaches and way more apartments. Then again down there is warmer in the winter and south facing so you're always in the sunshine. Swings and roundabouts I guess. Thanks 🙏👍
I know first hand what a pain immigration stuff can be, so I hope it all goes smoothly for you two, and you find somewhere you really like! I don’t mind telling you how jealous I am of that sunshine and beach - it was below -20 C here yesterday, and only a little bit “warmer” today! 😂
Thanks Mark, appreciate the comment. Let's see, I'm hoping if it does take a long time it will at least be straightforward if that makes sense. -20*C yikes that's cold enough for the sea to freeze 🥶🥶
Theres a free webinar on the YT chan "spain revealed" on moving to Spain. (On the 6th feb). Keep up with the Spanish, sounds like Suzie has a bit. Love the Hat😂
Great video guys, interesting 👍. My only small piece of advice would be not to move off of continental Europe. You always have the option from Spain or Portugal to fly, ferry or drive should you need to get back to the UK. Don't nove too far from family. Living on an island is pretty restrictive unless its a big island.I live in Portugal also and find it a great country to live, as well as more in the interior of the country than you tend to find in Spain.
Thanks Bob for the comment, and advice such as this is always appreciated. How much time a year do you spend in Bali then? I take it you work remotely.
Nice to hear your going to learn the language guys just a little tip you don't pronounce the letter H so as spoken el ombre 😉you'll learn that as you go forward if you stay in España .Very interesting stuff and well worth knowing guys 👍
You could set up a whole new channel on moving abroad. On the issue of pronunciation I’ve sent you a voicemail on messenger 😉😊 Hope to see you out there in a few weeks 🤞
Hi Nigel, we probably should as everytime we do a 'travel' video a couple of people unsubscribe 😂. I think some people expect a motorcycle discuss and they find us rambling on about EU passports. I'll have a look at the messenger today thanks 👍🙏 and yes see you early Feb I expect! Cheers, Sean
Thanks Ian for the question, yes I have recently had insurance with work and work from home. Like everything they offer it's not as good as it sounds as you end up paying for most stuff and there's exceptions and excess...
yes , i have been told by my friend who has a place on tenneriffe that you can take one vehicle , after that it's 1500 euros per bike or car inspection plus 31 percent tax --- ouch ;@@MindfulMotorcyclist

Thanks Phil great advice there. I do have a strange affliction for these type of hats, somewhat awkward as Suzie isn't a fan 😂😂. I'll have a look at the channels you mention, especially James and Helens channel sounds interesting! Van life is a very popular space on RUclips! Thanks for the comment much appreciated 👍
@@MindfulMotorcyclist i haven’t had notification, so there still at Tom Hurley custom seats. I was, so chuffed at the amount of people that helped you get the BSA back up and running. Great community.
I would actually be tempted by a brown seat for the BSA, they don't offer it so custom only. Not a priority modification but something for the longer term. Yes BSA community is lovely, I hope the brand is here for the long term, will be a terrible shame if it all goes south as the bike itself is excellent 👍
Great clear explanation
Thanks Duppy 👍

Not bad is it. Thanks Nick 👍
What a gorgeous shore line. Enjoy your time, I will stick to Doric.

Will your bikes be out Mark or are they tucked up safely this time of year?
