Oh. My. You've not watched DS Before?!
As others have said, Demon Slayer story isn't *too* indepth or filled with countless twists and turns, HOWEVER, the best thing about it is the fact that what it *DOES* do, does it VERY well. + The animation is one of the best, and improves over each season. We're currently about to start season 4 soon, with it currently being the calm before the storm towards the final, so honestly, get right into it! And be prepared to love it!!!
Set. Your. Heart. ABLAZE!!! 🔥 🔥 🔥 (You'll understand the reference in about 30 episodes) 💙
The story definitely has a lot of emotional depth and touches on several philosophical themes throughout. Being able to pick up on and understand them is where a lot of people seem to be having trouble.

Yeah, it is "basic" compared to some story that relies on massive mysteries, twisted storylines, convoluted plots, and so on... but it has some freaking great characters and emotion!
Demon slayer is a very typical anime show in many ways, but they do it so well. And the animation just takes it on whole another level.

A lot of people hate on DS but I like the story a lot. Especially the relationship with siblings it’s huge in this story. I love all my siblings so I really love the story.
I love Tanjiro & Giyu's first interaction. Him desperately imploring Giyu to let Nezuko live and in turn, Giyu with a harsh cold like manner force's Tanjiro to act. Just like that their story began.
(Anime only here but have heard some spoilers). I have a feeling that Giyu’s interaction here is going to take on a whole new meaning once we learn more about him
In other words: for all the crap ppl give this show about its “simple” plot, there are still some amazing moments of foreshadowing throughout. And the themes of the show run deep too. Far more than the general anime fandom seems to realize. And imo theme matters more than plot
@@NobleVagabond2552 people crap on the plot because it’s a straightforward story without any major twists, failing to realize that simple stories can still be told excellently.
Demon Slayer is melodrama with a straightforward shonen plot, but its characterization is masterful, and it sticks to and develops the core narrative themes with spectacular consistency. Love this story.
The story is simple but the characters, environment, and ufotable's superior art and animation is what make Demon Slayer such top-tier anime
Please be very careful reading comments since for some reason people love spoiling and sometimes they just do it on accident especially later in the series. Good luck this series is amazing!
Demon Slayer will not disappoint. This series is really really good, tons of depth, nuance and passion. It's a master class at subtly showing instead of telling too. Definitely enjoy the journey and make note of the smaller details 😄
This show is for everyone , so simple and beautiful , every age group can relate or understand easily, no shenanigans, even older people easily get into the show .😊

Time for a rewatch. Still a great first episode, the OST was amazing. I never realized how tall Nezuko used to be. Still love Giyuu. now THIS is how you do a first episode, a lot of things happened and all made sense.
THE SOUNDTRACK, holy moly the soundtrack, it is more on the emotional side, but very effective at conveying the emotions
the characters are also quite great

Ufotable is the best, they tend to take great care when doing anime and add little extras for certain moments in the series (illyas death in UBW, end of ep19 in Demon slayer).

Late to the party so I'll watch the whole s1 part of the playlist, lol. I had already seen your s2, 3 and current catch up to season 4 😅 DS & JJK are some of my favorites. Frieren and Apothecary Diaries too in recent seasons.
Kimetsu no Yaiba is classic shōnen, in a good way. It's not sophisticated, but it has tremendous heart and soul, and the animation quality is god tier. It's also a great palate cleanser between Shingeki no Kyojin episodes.

The story of Demon Slayer may not be as captivating as Naruto or AOT but it's still pretty good with some heartwarming stories and comedy plus no other anime can match it in terms of animation. You are in for a fun ride enjoy

Oh its always such a joy to encounter a new recruit to the Demon slayer Anime series. While the anime itself is quite simple in terms of plot its a very enjoyable anime.
I will advise you however to be very careful with reading comments. Sometimes the fanbase much like the attack on titan fanbase(thou that fanbase is MUCH worse with this)cannot help themselves from keeping their urge to post spoilers at bay.

"The animation is stunning". Oh flexi... This is the "worst" that Demon Slayer's animation has ever been... you have no idea how gorgeous and beautifully made this show is hahaha
Show takes a bit to ramp up with the lore but you will "know" when the show take a HUGE jump, and then season 2 is 100x better than season 1, and so on and so forth!

i hate how more and more animes and games do that thing about showing you at the beggining whats going to happen and then they pull back the few hours earler, like why the hell would you spoil the watcher like that it adds nothing to the episods value except now you know to await it to happen..
The purpose is to hook the audience and get their attention and interest immediately with something tense or action packed instead of your regular relaxed ambience, especially since nowadays people have less free time and more options to watch. But yeah, I agree with you, I'm not a fan of it either. It feels a little like a waste of time.
