    Nova 2024: NASA says we are about to witness a once-in-a-lifetime explosion in the sky. It's not the anticipated supernova of Betelgeuse. Instead, it's about the sudden appearance of a nova in the sky. The term "nova" means "new" in Latin, referring to a "new star" in the sky. It's a transient astronomical event that causes the sudden appearance of a bright, apparently new star that slowly fades over time. This spectacular nova will occur in a star system known as T Coronae Borealis, or T CrB, situated in the constellation of Corona Borealis, approximately 3,000 light-years away. The best part is that this celestial event can be seen with the naked eye.

      Excuse me I have a question. How does NASA say anything at all considering they were shut down back in 2009 or something like that. Their whole space program was defunded and shut down after they refused to send anymore astronauts into space. That was the end of NASA so how are they still saying anything to anyone?

    Good video. I think our star has recurring micro nova's about every 12,000 years. Caused by our solar system passing through the galactic sheet. Dust builds up on our star causing it to micro nova

    If we see it now, doesn't that mean it happened many, many years ago? We can't see things that currently happen to stars. It takes a long time for the light to reach us.

    very interesting, so it's an autumn event kinda like this year's "possibly one of greatest comets"
    and it should be noticable as a large porion of nearby stars are only magnitude 4 whitch is quite faint
    and last but not least, you showned it a bit off :( . . it's actualy 40 arcminutes northward from Alpha CrB whitch is more in line with Delta CrB than what is shown

    My problem is that the Big Dipper is reversed in my florida sky. Makes no sense that I would look to the south for the "northern" crown. Is it actually the Little Dipper that I see every night? Only one dipper is in sight.

    • @yourejustjelley
      @yourejustjelley 4 месяца назад

      When I was in Texas in April I could see the big dipper. I photograph night skies normally in Montana. It was just located more to the south than when I am "home". I'm thinking it is same dipoer, different latitude.

      What are you referring to? Cloud seeding (real) or "chemtrails" (not real)?
      If you're bothered by contrails then complain to the people who travel by plane because that's the cause for contrails.
      Aside from cloud seeding there are many (natural) reasons for cloud cover to exist, have you looked into these?
      By the way, even without cloud cover stars often are invisible due to light pollution.
