My favorite words from a show called ‘True Beauty’ I’ve watched: You decide your own worth. If you’re confident, no one can touch you. Understand? No matter how you look, makeup or no makeup, you’re always you. Thank you for the support :)
Spironolactone Description Diuretic It can treat high blood pressure. It can also treat fluid retention (edema) and high levels of the hormone aldosterone. I had really bad acne due to Polycystic ovary syndrome and many different dermatologist never prescribed this. Instead I spent $ buying BS medicines like Accutane (don’t recommend). And finally going to hormonal specialist prescribed Spironolactone which cost about $9 bucks. It saved my face.
@@shanazshanaz5331 well that's her decition. It doesn't matter the only thing that does is what she wants and what makes her happy in the moment like making this video. I'm sure shell find new things and what she wants to do. But RN she's sharing a lovely video with us to maybe help us cover up acne for an imparticular event or day out. And we should be appreciative of that and respect her personal decition.☺️
@@jomk5731 my acne gets bad too and coverage can be bad for u but it depends on ur skin type. Like mine I use coverage but take a break to cleanse my skin over weekends. U'll find what fits u just keep trying and staying strong u'll be beautiful no matter what☺️🌺
what I absolutely hate is when people complain about having a “breakout” when it’s literally just one pimple. Like BABE I’ll be HAPPY to trade skin with you right now
B Christine people can be sad about a pimple if they want to lmfao their feelings matter but yea calling it a breakout when it’s one pimple is annoying so I understand
That's why she has two million views. Had she started out with perfect skin nobody would care or click. She'd have gotten maybe fifty thousand views that way. But every girl who has bad skin instantly related and wanted to learn her secret which seems just be a natural talent for make-up. I could see in a couple of more years her having her own line up beauty products and making millions.
U know what sucks the most about acne U can cover up the red colour, but you cant cover the texture and that makes me so insecure And then the moment when I acidently open up the front camera and i see all the bumbs on my face i just wanna cry
I have mrsa, which looks just like acne, but it hurts way more. It reacts to everything I put on my skin. So guess what? 7 years ago, I stopped wearing makeup. My skin is much better now, and I go out in public as is. Ive heard people say "shes pretty even like that" and "at least she's not a liar". I wish they wouldnt look anyway, but all the same. Ive notice more women skipping coverup. Just thought to put that out there. :)
It's so cool to see a real girl with real skin instead of plastic dolls... Edit : I see that I provoked a war in the comments. When I said plastic dolls, I meant womens who do a lot of surgery, and who are advertising make-up or skincare to young women without being open about their fillers or Botox, or filters, and their followers can feel insecure, because they have pimples, freckles, rosacea, fine lines, whatever, and feeling ugly because excessively smooth, blurred, evened skin is unnatural, and they may think that it's the norm, therefore feeling ugly because they don't look the same, when their skin is just normal. Unattainable beauty standards are a real issue imo. Oh, and I have clear skin. But sometimes I have one or two pimples, I have few freckles, I have few fine lines. That is normal skin. I love to see more natural-look influencers, a lot can relate. I love to watch glam, full-coverage make-up artists too, it's cool. So please stop the fight
I'm 47 and I still have acne. My skin scars easily, it's red constantly. I have been picked on when I was in school and that leaves scars on your soul. But hey, I met this wonderful guy who thinks I'm gorgeous and we r getting married! 💖Everyone keep your head high, cause u r worth it💖💖
Kira Lindholm I’m 45, and I still get acne too. I have bad scars from it on my left side jaw. I’m good at covering it, but it does get me down. I didn’t have a single pimple in school. Not one. I got my first acne outbreak at 30. Can you believe that? I didn’t get away with not being bullied at school though, I have epilepsy, so the horrible kids LOVED picking on that. Thing is, the girl that bullied me the most, I saw her on Facebook once....oh my days, she’s looking absolutely awful. Spite often shows on the face after a few years. According to her FB, she’s still not nice. Good luck with your wedding. It’s the best day of your life. I’ve never regretted marrying my husband, and I’m still so madly in love with him. Our kids are all grown up, and we are still like sweethearts. 💕🌸
I understand where ur coming from, but if she does that every day then maybe if she wore less it could reduce it over time. No it won’t magically get rid of it. And no I’m not one of the people telling her to stop wearing it lol
I’m pretty educated on skin care and I wanna be a dermatologist so here’s my take: makeup itself won’t clog pores but the process of putting on and taking it off may.... any contact of ur finger tips on ur face or the brush on ur face can spread around bacteria or clog pores by putting dirt onto the face. It’s important u clean whatever stuff u use and ur fingers before u apply. (I’m a dude so idrk how u apply) also if you leave it on your face overnight it can clog pores as your pores open at night to release oils from the day. When those pores open left over makeup can seep in and clog pores. If you take the proper precautions you should be ok but be careful
I have heard this before from GUYS who don't want to be saddled with it. Actually working as a sunscreen saying " ALL THAT SHIT IS CLOGGFING UP YOUR SKIN" I DON"T think so! Plus I will not give up my sunscreen or my lipstick............................................!
This is the most realistic makeup routine I have ever seen. I thought I wouldn't last watching this for more than 5 minutes, but I actually ended up watching almost the entire thing. You have such a great personality.
yo yo are you trying to be condescending? I don't have that much acne, and yes, I had a talk with my dermatologist since my first breakout. Or are you assuming she didn't talk to her dermatologist? There's nothing wrong with the amount of makeup she's using. That's her skin, she knows it best.
I hate school lighting, in my mirror at home my face looks even and yesss but then I go to school my acne looks so bumpy and my skin looks so rough ugh, it doesnt help that my friends have perfect skin and they don’t wear any type of makeup 😪 the struggle..
If you are reading this.. Acne doesn't define who you are, you are always beautiful even if you have it. ❤️ [Edit] : Wow so many likes.. Thank you guys💖❤️
I’m sure you have given a lot of acne sufferers the inspiration, and courage to tackle the problem with amazing make up. Clinique does not get the recognition it deserves, but it has now. You did an excellent tutorial.

Try apple cider vinegar. Mix it with water then apply it on your face, let it dry & apply any moisturising cream of your choice. DO NOT WASH OFF THE APPLE CIDER VINEGAR just let dry & apply cream as normal. I recommend mixing it with water
I really feel like we shouldn’t be giving her tips like “oh drink plenty of water and drink tea etc etc” because honestly i was in the same boat she’s in and none of that shit helped. For me, it was all hormonal- no amount of green tea could’ve fixed that. My doctor started me on birth control in addition to topical/oral medication. This is just my example, somebody else could’ve fixed their acne another way. ALSO if it helps i anyone, when I had acne my two go to foundations, for coverage, were: Maybelline fit me and Nars Sheer Glow
Thanks for your advice ❤️ I'm not looking to take any pills, just maybe some diet and lifestyle and product changes for now :) But I'll have to check those foundations out!! I'm a bit oily do they work well with oily skin?
Of course! I wasn’t trying to give you any such advice, I’m sorry if it came off that way. The Nars is a dewy hydrating foundation, so I’m not sure if that’s something you’d go for. However, the Maybelline fit me has a hydrating and matte version. The foundation itself is amazing esp if you’re on a budget. The matte, ive heard is amazing, I use the hydrating version since my skin is very dry :)
no worries, you're all good! okay thanks for giving me the deets!! 😂 I might be looking into that maybelline foundation! :) thanks for responding! @@vampchick2000
Everyone suggesting her to drink water, tea, maintain a healthy diet, avoid dairy etc I did all those things and suffered with cystic acne on my face and back for YEARS. At 18 I found out I had PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) which causes cystic acne, mood swings, irregular periods etc. I finally understand why I was still breaking out so badly even when I was on birth control. don't judge, maybe it's an underlying hormonal problem and I understand the embarrassment and how painful cysts can get. I've been off birth control for years and have been eating dairy free & low carb which has helped me and the insulin resistance I've had from PCOS. Everyone is beautiful and be mindful of what is said!! Stay lovely xx love the video btw
i have PCOS too!! my doctor recommended that i start birth control and it has actually helped my acne a lot and maintained my hormone levels (which is what was causing my acne)! im glad that your skin has gotten better and you found what works for you!!💗
Lupita Rangel anything that can be used on stretch marks. I've heard that works well on scars. You'll have to find someone to help you. I hope that helps.
sydney w I found out recently I have PCOS and I struggled with cystic acne once I turned 18 and I’m now 22 but it was such a shock for me from having great skin in my youth to very acne prone skin as I got older. I went on birth control and my skin has improved dramatically as well as the help of a healthier diet and weight loss!! Thanks for sharing your experience !!! I wish you all the best
Lupita Rangel mine faded over time but I know you can buy body wash for acne on the back. I use to use the neautrogena body clear one if it doesn’t work than I suggest going to your doctor.
You poor Baby! The first thought that went through my mind was "it has to be so painful every time she touches her face". I've been dealing with Cystic Acne for the better part of a year now and it hurts so much. My boyfriend can't even put his palm on my cheek being sweet because of the pressure causing them to throb and the healing of them is the WORST! The swelling, discoloration, scarring, and flaking skin, UGH! Nearly impossible to cover up and if you manage it is so noticable... Thank you so much for having the courage to do this video because it genuinely helps people like me. Could you think about doing a verbal or a short physical step by step tip video on your skin care routine prior to putting on your makeup for a more flawless application?
My daughter started breaking out in 6th grade and she was bullied all through junior high and high school. My daughter went to school to become an esthetician and through her school, she learned a lot had to do with her GI system. She was diagnosed with IBS and she started taking probiotics and she actually stopped wearing makeup and started using Clean & Clear Acne Control cleanser and moisturizer am & pm. No medications for acne, she just had to let her skin breathe and embraced her skin for how it was. She now has flawless skin and only wears makeup for special occasions. She does have lash extensions because she does them and since she doesn't wear makeup it just makes her eyes pop. You’re beautiful and please stop talking so negative about yourself, your personality and beauty radiate without all that makeup. Wear makeup because you want to, not to hide your face. Trust me, being confident in your skin without pleasing anyone will make you a confident woman. Oh, and your brows are amazing!!!
I love this because all those beauty gurus have special lighting. I like the natural lighting only because I can tell how it really looks. Keep doing this!!!
I love how genuinely honest and real she is. The fact that she doesn’t cut out any part of her makeup routine says a lot, not to mention I dig her personality. New subscriber!
I might agree a little bit, but i think that you shouldn’t have commented that when she’s comfortable and has done her best. She has requested tips, but the bumps doesn’t seem to bother her that much, and it’s her one skin. I’m not saying this to hate, but I think it would be better to leave it as “You look beautiful”.
Abby Bartley umm..that is trueeee although her acne isn’t anywhere where she placed highlighter. The acne is lower on her cheeks and her highlight is higher u on the cheekbone area. So this is a moot point. 🤷🏽♀️
I am happy to see another person on youtube with acne. This is a problem that affects many young people who are very concerned about their appearance. I also struggled with acne and it was hormonal for me, so what I can recommend is a visit to a gynecologist or endocrinologist and do hormonal tests, because if it's hormones, nothing apart from medicines will help. I'm not saying that this is the cause, but it's always worth checking the hormones :) Good luck!
If it’s hormones you CAN fix it without medication. I have cystic acne because of a hormonal imbalance, drinking birth control helped but made other problems worse. You should research a low glycemic diet because sugar and other factors can raise androgen levels and cause hormonal imbalances. It’s been shown with peer reviewed studies.
First of all, you’re beautiful 😍 secondly, you did like the perfect tutorial. You kept me interested the entire time. The Clinique foundation was amazing!!! I do not suffer with acne. I’m 29 and I’ll break out once a month bc of Mother Nature but by no means am I comparing myself. You did a brilliant job! And because of your authenticity, I liked and subscribed! 👍🏼
Hey girl, I’m sure you’ve tried everything for your acne, so I don’t want to be that annoying person to recommend stuff to you that you’ve already tried, but since you asked I’ll say them. Usually when there’s an issue with the skin, it’s a reflection of something happening inside of the body. So I’ll mention just a few options that help to solve different problems that could be causing the acne: -Make sure your skin care is definitely for your skin type. I was using a moisturizer for dry skin for so long when I actually have oily skin. It was clogging my pores so bad. Now I have a or less congestion! -I know you said you’re against the pill but often it’s a hormone imbalance and the pill often balances your hormones, which therefore is the root to the problem -Have you been tested for food allergies? Maybe you eat somethings that you have a slight intolerance to and it is causing this effect on your skin. Tons of people I know had this problem. I’d say that this is one of the most important ones on this list. It makes sense that foods that irritate could cause an inflammatory response in your skin. Try find someone in your area who specializes in kinesiology. I’ve heard so many success stories from these by people I know -Have you tried the Salicylic Acid Serum by The Ordinary? Its a basically is a non-physical exfoliator that cleans out your pores. It made my cystic acne a lot better, though it takes at least a month to clear my skin a lot It doesn’t make it perfect, just better. I feel like it doesn’t get to the root of the problem internally, but provides relief from the monstrosity that was my face previously, but helps regulate my oil production and is cheap. -Please don’t follow Nina and Randa’s no fat rule as this is soo bad. Cut out saturated fats because they’re unhealthy, but it’s ok to eat avocados and nuts and food that have fat, just as long as it’s an unsaturated or healthy fat that your body needs to function. It’s the same idea that cutting out all carbs or all protein is really bad for you. They claim cutting out fats worked for them, but perhaps it’s a certain type of fat that they’re intolerant to and they just assumed that it’s all fat. -Also excercise is soo good for clearing out you pores and shower after it. -For me drinking over 2 liters of water a day has helped so much. This also helped me drop a couple of pounds too! -High sugar foods are soo bad for acne and obesity. Make sure you eat the recommended 28 grams of sugar a day. Basically this means cutting out all added sugar. Natural sugars such as whole fruit are fine -Sit in the sun if you live somewhere warm, if not, go outside anyway to let your body soak in the vitamin d. I find when I spend a lot of time outside my skin improves. -Also wear spf on your face. Do absorb some sun without it, but then wear sunscreen for the rest on the day. Sun helps acne, but too much sun can irritate it. Make sure the spf you use is for the face and specifically for your skin type, e.g. oily skin, which most people with acne has. You don’t want to further clog your pores. -I’m absolutely against tanning beds, but my sister has really bad acne on her arms and the only thing that helped cure it is 10 minutes a week on a tanning bed. Though using them is awful, the fact that it’s only once a week for 10 minutes, it’s not very damaging to her skin. We live in Ireland where the weather is awful so going outside isn’t very helpful as it’s always cloudy and cold. -Also change your bedding and pillow cases often. Use a fresh side of pillow case every night. -Clean makeup brushes often so you’re not putting bad bacteria from dirty brushes on your skin. All of these things take time to fully work so just be patient and try be conscious of what how you’re treating your body You’re all gorgeous anyway so you don’t need all of this but I understand having the whole acne thing, and maybe I’ve said something not everyone else has xx (Ps I’m not qualified, I’m just saying what I believe to be true)
melissa nutt hope it works for you! I’m pretty sure my acne is mainly hormonal, so I might try the pill and also I have stomach problems so I assume I have some kind of intolerance too!
you should absolutely NOT go NEARRRR tanningbeds, even if its 10mins, going once a month even increases risk at skin cancer, please DONT do this, the uv in tanningbeds is way more “concentrated” then if you would walk the same amount of time in the sun english is not my first language so excuse that
I love how you are okay showing your face with out make up. That is great confidence, and not everyone can do that. You are so pretty, and your really good at doing Makeup too!! I don't know tons of tips for acne, but I do have a few. Eating really well and not wearing makeup when your at home can give your skin a break. Hopefully some of these tips help. :) Good job on the video, may the Lord bless you.
I'm not sure how this popped up on my main page, but I'm so glad it did! I've been struggling with acne for a long time and seeing people who struggle with acne SHOW THEMSELVES and decide to be vulnerable help me so much! Keep doing you, I'll definitely watch it all!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! This means a lot to me!! I was nervous to show myself without makeup but I was hoping I could help somebody by posting this video - also cause it seems like all other beauty you tubers have flawless skin 😅
Omg this made me feel so good. I myself have acne and this made me feel like I don’t have to be so serious with myself when it comes to my acne. Just go with the flow and do what I want. Please make more videos, I love the way this whole video went😅
I'm so glad I discovered this video bc it is actually an indept tutorial with no "I do this off camera" with every step included. This is strange. I never met you but now I'm sitting on the floor in front of the mirror crying because I feel understood. It's as if I have someone to bond over acne. So thank you so much! You probably don't realise just how many people you help with this honesty, vulnerability and bravery😇 Ps: The "Ich spreche ein bisschen Deutsch" caught me off guard! 😂

She deserves every one of them and I am proud of her for being so vulnerable online and not hiding her flaws like soooo many other artists do. Acne sucks, I am 40 yrs old and still struggling with acne, redness, sensitive skin, dryness and now broken capillaries with aging ugh. Forta love it.
I love how direct you are about your acne, and the sounds during the sped up sections are fantastic! You have a great personality, your makeup looks lovely, and this is amazing for a first video!

You are too cute! I rarely comment, but your video was so refreshing. You are hilarious. Self deprecating but also confident. You are beautiful! You really keep it real. Congrats on living your dream
I tried to get rid of my acne for over 10 years, I tried a million different cleansers and masks and diets. The only thing that got rid of it was antibiotics.. I went to a dermatologist and he explained that my acne (acne vulgaris) is caused by a hereditary mutation affecting the shape of my hair folicles/pores, making them predisposed to infection. He said this is likely the main cause of acne vulgaris in most people.. He also said the big, painful under the skin acne (cystic acne) is cause by a deficiency in vitamin A. I started taking doxycycline daily and my acne is pretty much gone.. only past scars and occasional blackheads to cover up now 😁 You just have to make sure your makeup and moisturizer say 'non-comdogenic' on them (it means its been tested by dermatologists and found to not cause acne). My advice would be to fork out the $300 and see a dermatologist. It took me 10 years and a bunch of permanent scarring to finally do it, and was shocked to find my acne was gone within 6 weeks. Hopefully this helps anyone who reads this. EDIT: I should also mention that the most common downsides to doxy mean that you have to keep taking it or the acne will come back.. and that you will need to include a non comdogenic sunscreen into your routine as the doxy will effect zinc production in your skin making you more at risk for sunburn/skin cancer (and dont forget to sunscreen your arms, hands, shoulders etc as well!). I use cetaphil or azclear 30+spf..
@@poisoningthemselvesnowbegg8108 Kinda, but nowhere near as much as the acne did. There is a big scar on the side of my nose thats visible even with makeup, and Ive been told they can correct it with some laser treatment but I havent had it done yet.
littleblackfox1 Ohh, the laser treatment.. I hope it goes well for you. I'm saying this because my sister did it to treat her scars 3 years ago and she still has the red marks of the laser on her cheeks which are visible and huge even when she puts makeup on. Sometimes she even cries because they won't go away no matter what she does, so be careful
I have been to many dermatologists before but none of them helped. The first one prescribed me with some complete random medication that had nothing to do with acne, the second one hurt me really bad, peeling one layer of my skin off that resulted in nothing. The third one gave me a "cleaning", but all she did was go on EVERY single zit and pop it. I had a really bad panic attack half way through. I would say I have a few PTSD symptoms from going to dermatologists, I panic even thinking about going there. For some reason, all the dermatologists refused to give me antibiotics which I don't know why.
the way i got rid of my acne: 1. i stopped using acne products 2. started using natural or really gentle products (mask of magnaminty - lush, cetaphil cleanser, Aztec clay mask for spot treatment) 3. Removed dairy from my diet 4. Don’t over wash your face 5. Moisturize
Yes!!! Exactly my routine too. The only thing I do include is dairy, but I drink a lot of water and I’ve started eating healthier on a diet (about 3 weeks now) I see a difference already.
I’m so glad you didn’t push accutane. Everything you said I have done and as a long time acne victim, it has subsided immensely and all I’m left with is acne scars.
Same although when I was younger I had mild acne and picked so have acne scars so I am so stern with my Daughter about cleaning her face and not picking, she has baby acne at 8 years old and I worry she will have to deal with acne as a teen/adult like I have, it sucks so much and I don't wish it on anyone. However our flaws are what make us uniquely beautiful and I have always taught my Daughter that happy girls are the prettiest and I believe this to my core. This girl did an amazing job for her first youtube vlog and was so real is made me watch the whole video without being remotely bored. She is so pretty with or without make up.
I know exactly how you feel, it does make it better with makeup though as it looks smoother as you can hide the pigment with concealer and foundation 😂
I know it’s probably annoying getting recommendations from different people to try hundreds of different products, to change your diet, lifestyle etc. Especially considering that you’ve probably already tried all of those things. I had SEVERE cystic acne for 8 years straight, the only thing that helped me was ACCUTANE. Trust me, I tried EVERYTHING that there was to try but nothing ever helped. I know it’s a controversial drug and I’m not forcing it on to anyone. But if you need help and you feel like you’ve tried everything that’s out there, it really is a ‘miracle drug’. After 7 months of treatment my skin is completely acne free and I’ve never felt better. Don’t wait around, just go to the dermatologist and see what can be done to help alleviate the acne - they are the skin experts after all.
Olivia Lonngren I agree. I tried the natural routes too and nothing worked. I finally decided to try accutane and I wish I had tried it so many years ago !! It's a harsh drug I won't deny that but for me the pay out was soooo worth it.
Olivia Lonngren i actually tried accutane i had really severe acne it went away for couple months after the treatment , but it came back again not as bad as it was but i still have acne even after a whole year of treatment and a really strict diet , 😢😢
Karima Agh Ahh, Yh everyone reacts differently to medications. I’ve heard of a handful of people who went on accutane and then relapsed, I think a second course of treatment helps with that !! Don’t give up hope. ❤️
Girl, don't say you need to "fix" or "cover up" yourself and your acne. You are beautiful, you are human, and you aren't broken so you don't need to be fixed. I guess it's hard to accept acne or any other physical feature that you don't want people to see (and ugh I relate so much), but I really hope you believe me when I say that you truly are beautiful 💖💖 If you already do, then you're even more of a queen 👑
Can we talk about how cute she is??? Like I deadass wanna be her friend lmao (btw love how confident you are I remember back when I struggled with acne I would never go out, and wasn't even able to go out with no makeup) only thing really helped me was accutane, ik its some strong shit but have u ever considered trying that?
aww thank you so much Anna, that's so nice. yesss girl lets be bffs. lol if you read my pinned comment I'm not looking to go on any heavy drugs - especially accutane. Like I get why it works and why people like it but I think I can cure it a more natural way which is what I'm trying to do :)
Same. Accutane was the only thing that helped me. I feel that sometimes people who do not suffer from severe acne have no idea how hard it is to try to clear it up.
I am only just seeing this for the first time but I am so glad I did!!! I love that this is your first video and how open, honest, and real you are! I recently have been wanting to get into the youtube game, just for fun, but have also never edited or done this and love that you shared those same thoughts while making this
I had severe acne and I went on a 6 month course of Roaccutane (Isotretinoin). It has completely cleared my skin and all of my red marks!! So I would defiantly recommend that u look into it!! Girl Ik the struggles of acne!! So you are not alone!! 💙
Because you have lots of redness i would not recommend using witch hazel. You should use something more hydrating and less stripping because irritation can really give you more acne. Also maybe use serums with centella asiatica extract (common in korean skincare) which really helps with redness. Vitamin c serums and aha/bha toners can also help with skin hyperpigmentation and new acne
@@lylalalala2668 Where was there criticism? Witch Hazel is rough on damaged skin and will only make redness and breakouts worse. Which is what the op was kindly and respectfully pointing out, and offering good advice on other products that may be more beneficial for her skin. The other person simply agreed and was concerned that she's using the witch hazel. Quit trying to create a problem where there isn't one.
Annmarie Telgenhof the criticism is saying that witch hazel is bad... I’m not trying to create a problem because there already is one the problem is that people constantly feel the need to tell people to change their skincare routine or their makeup routine or their hair routine etc. when they don’t ask for advice. It’s really not helpful
I’m a year late, but I love this video. A girl with a real zoom in on some real skin issues. And you SOLD ME on these products because damn girl that difference
Listen hon we all have skin issues, you will never be alone there. You did great for your first video, also as a makeup lover just drag that foundation all the way down your neck to your décolletage and all will be blended seamlessly, no foundation lines. Your makeup came out great.
The Ordinary Products!!! I can highly recommend them to you. It will not heal all of your acne because most time acne is a hormonal issue, but it’ll make you skin less red and improve your skin texture. And btw you are a really pretty and funny person! Never lose your smile!
You can also email their team about your skin and they'll suggest a routine! Their products are also really affordable (like $10 and under for a lotta them)
Hey! I had acne like yours once, after 6 months of accutane and continuing on birth control I'm finally clear. When you have those deep pimples that are large and won't budge regardless of the products you put on, your acne is a result of your body's own hormone levels and your genetics. No amount of water, green tea, diet change or natural masks will change that. Some of us just need medicine to balance our hormones out and others don't - go to the dermatologist asap and ask for accutane, it's the only long lasting treatment that works. birth control stops working if you dont stay on forever and the topicals will stop working much faster.
Girllllll I take freaking two hours alone to do my makeup everyday for school. Everyone in my class gets up at 7:00 earliest and I have to get up at 4.
I relate to this soo much!! Like I always struggle to get enough sleep because of how low it takes me to get ready!! And it’s sad but I never really have sleepovers or go swimming anymore cause I’m insecure about my skin. Ahhh 😭 my skins improved a lot since this video but I don’t know if Ill ever be able to get it to a clear place I’ll probably always have scarring and pigmentation issues. Lol I’m glad I can relate with u I always feel like everyone around me has decent skin and wears minimal makeup.
Hi, I just wanted to mention one thing - even though I don't know you personally but you are inspiration itself. You are such a beautiful girl and I love the color of your eyes. All great and amazing things to you, sweetie. Keep smiling and be you, beauty, stay you
Thank you for being natural. A lot of us have skin of uneven color. So nice that show us what can b done to look really nice. Great that u listed the products as well. There are sooo many out there. Mistakes are expensive.

African black soap, Ayele & Co's sunflower sweets serum, and for a spot treatment Mario Badescu drying lotion. Face masks are also very important, I suggest Aztec secret healing clay with apple cider vinegar and Lush's Mask of Magnaminty. These things cleared up my skin within a month of continuous use.
I love your personality!!!! I dont even have acne but I couldn't stop watching. I watched the whole long video and dont regret it at all lol. My only pointer is to quit apologizing and calling yourself rough girl get on with that your the bomb. Cute af
I am 36, have acne and psoriasis on my face about 90% of the time (I have one or the other all the time)😕. Finally a REAL LIFE makeup tutorial with someone who has bad acne. This was very helpful because for a long time I just didn’t wear makeup because it made it look worse. I feel like with the products and techniques you used I’ll be able to wear makeup again. Lovely video thank you so much ☺️
Hmm. Try to use a higher coverage concealer. Perhaps makeup revolution. Boing from benefit, put a dot on the needed area and then lightly dab on it. Make sure you use a sticky primer beforehand and finally set it with some loose powder. (maybe even bake). Hope it works out for you. 🌹
Uh try a new foundation.. or you're just trying to flex that you only have "one pimple"/pretending you only have one pimple. Everybody gets a little acne shut up 🤷🏻♀️
Girl you look cute! Acne has never steered me away from people, and I've had several crushes on people with acne. So while I know everyone is insecure about it (I used to be really insecure myself) there are people out there that will love you and your natural skin.
Pardon my English, it's not my native language. I have/had acne for over 10 years and yes, it was pain hearing those "you shouldn't eat pizza or chocolate so much" and "you should wash your face more often" types of advice when I didn't even eat pizza or chocolate very often and I at some point I even washed myself too much, which made my acne worse. But these things have helped me to cure (I hope!) my acne for good: 1. Removing (more like reducing) dairy products. I eat them sometimes (like ice cream) and I can eat them if they are heated, it breaks the protein, which is most likely the problem and the inflammation it causes. I've also noticed that it's important to keep my intestinal tract (is that the right word? :D) healthy (with for example probiotics, I don't take them all the times) then I can eat more dairy products with no symptoms for some reason I don't know. 2. Using gentle products and reducing the number of products what I use, the best are for sensitive skin and fragrance-free, with no alcohol. 3. Peeling and moisturizing, sometimes I use clay or charcoal masks, they are good. 4. Reducing stress and anxiety. My acne got worst in a shitty life situation when it had been "good" already for many years. BUT what actually CURED it: 5. Birth control pills 6. Accutane It's frustrating if you have to be perfect to cure your acne but others can do and eat almost everything and they still have perfect skin.
Suskubu I have severe acne for 2,5 years now. I do the same things you did. I’m vegan, reduced my skincare products to a very few items, all of them are natural and really simple. Never was a stressful kind of person and take birthcontroll pills for 2,5 months. I take a medicine for seizures that’s why accutane is not a option for me. How long did you take the pills and when you noticed your skin is healing?
i also used roaccutane for like 7 months. Before then my acne wasnt so so bad but it was getting worse and worse that i decided to do something serious about it and went to a dermatologist. Probably roaccutane was the most effective thing in my treatment but i also realized that instead of using random things from drug stores, using what is exactly for your skin changes a lot. I used to make some search and try some drug store products on my skin. They were all good rated products but i guess i messed up somewhere. Maybe i used so many products all together maybe i used wrong products who knows. But then i started using only the things that my dermatologist said and they have been working really well. It has been around 8 months since i stopped using roaccutane and i dont get much acne since then. Maybe once in a month i get one. So if ones acne is really bad i think they should see a good dermatologist. If its not so bad they shouldnt try everything that they hear about to make it better. By the way i never stopped dairy products cause i love them xd
Hey Suskubu, Changing pillowcases every 2 days, not touching your face during the day, drinking LOTS of water everyday, washing makeup brushes often, using an antibac face cleanser and a rigourous facial routine everyday HELPS!
Hi! Its good to see someone who can be open about issues like acne. I used to get really insecure back in my younger days because i had alot of acne. And seeing you be fierce and putting yourself out there.. its brave and it also shows that you're honest and fearless. Idk, i just really enjoyed this, thanks.
Thank you so much for this comment, it genuinely means so much to me!! I hope my acne can go away soon once I find the cause of it, but I'm glad so many people can relate ❤️
Loved your inspiring video. I think it's great when someone has the confidence to step out of their comfort zone and help others who might be going through the same thing. I suffered with severe acne as a teenager and always felt so bad about myself. Even though makeup is a disguise, it can make you feel a whole lot better about yourself. I'm glad you've had so many people view your video. You are beautiful inside and out. Your personality really shines through. Definitely a fan.
I quit sugar for 5 weeks, drank hella lots of water everyday and stopped wearing makeup on a daily basis. My skin is thanking me now . Try that and you'll see spectacular results!
I’m going through puberty and I try to drink lots of water and cut down the sugar, however it doesn’t really help. It also depends on my environment, if there’s a lot of cars or a lot trees and etc.
Yumi Hozuki you should look up medical medium on insta, he claims acne isn’t caused by hormones but by a strep virus, and celery juice first thing in the morning helps combat it :)
You’re literally so beautiful with or without acne !! I’ve struggled with acne for years and it’s so frustrating to deal with so I wear lots of makeup too , wish I could give you advice but I need some myself 😂 great first video , new subscriber ❤️
THANK YOU so much Gia!! ❤️ I totally relate to what you're talking about! I've been getting so many comments of advice it's a bit overwhelming but hopefully I can figure my skin out and clear it and post my advice on this channel in the future!! thank you for subscribing :)
My favorite words from a show called ‘True Beauty’ I’ve watched:
You decide your own worth. If you’re confident, no one can touch you. Understand?
No matter how you look, makeup or no makeup, you’re always you.
Thank you for the support :)

Spironolactone
Description
Diuretic
It can treat high blood pressure.
You know, seeing someone who has a ton if acne but still be confident is so attractive.

So please stop the fight
u mean a real girl turning into a plastic doll with makeup that destroyes her acne and skin

I love how she doesn’t seem insecure, and that is amazing! I am a very insecure person, so great job to her! I’m proud of you!

I wish society accepted acne just like freckles..
Can someone start a trend of doing red freckles then, that would be cute
That's impossible, acne is literally an infection and inflammation of the skin. It's not healthy.

istg if anyone say she should stop wearing makeup as if that's going to magically wipe out all the acne, i'm throwing hands
If you take the proper precautions you should be ok but be careful
dxrkspxce69 as long as you clean it all off it shouldnt really do anythinf
I have heard this before from GUYS who don't want to be saddled with it. Actually working as a sunscreen saying " ALL THAT SHIT IS CLOGGFING UP YOUR SKIN" I DON"T think so!

Mars Sheer Glow?!?
Is it like hydrating?
Because with my acne I can’t have matte!🚫
no worries, you're all good! okay thanks for giving me the deets!! 😂 I might be looking into that maybelline foundation! :) thanks for responding!

Birth control really helped clear my acne as well i take the pill Sprintec

Abby Bartley She looks MAD beautiful. Amazing.
I agree.
I completely agree with you but I think almost all of her skin is flat and smooth but it’s just red but then there are like 3-4 bigger pimples

Weronika .Miazga yup i never knew why i was getting acne until i got blood work done and found out it was my hormone levels

@@geejae4243 eeeh not true if you use makeup with no "bad" ingredients...
So I’ll mention just a few options that help to solve different problems that could be causing the acne:
-Make sure your skin care is definitely for your skin type. I was using a moisturizer for dry skin for so long when I actually have oily skin. It was clogging my pores so bad. Now I have a or less congestion!
-I know you said you’re against the pill but often it’s a hormone imbalance and the pill often balances your hormones, which therefore is the root to the problem
-Have you been tested for food allergies? Maybe you eat somethings that you have a slight intolerance to and it is causing this effect on your skin. Tons of people I know had this problem. I’d say that this is one of the most important ones on this list. It makes sense that foods that irritate could cause an inflammatory response in your skin.
Try find someone in your area who specializes in kinesiology. I’ve heard so many success stories from these by people I know
-Have you tried the Salicylic Acid Serum by The Ordinary? Its a basically is a non-physical exfoliator that cleans out your pores. It made my cystic acne a lot better, though it takes at least a month to clear my skin a lot
It doesn’t make it perfect, just better.
Natural sugars such as whole fruit are fine
-Sit in the sun if you live somewhere warm, if not, go outside anyway to let your body soak in the vitamin d.
All of these things take time to fully work so just be patient and try be conscious of what how you’re treating your body
You’re all gorgeous anyway so you don’t need all of this but I understand having the whole acne thing, and maybe I’ve said something not everyone else has xx
(Ps I’m not qualified, I’m just saying what I believe to be true)
Thank you for this comment you mentioned some stuff I’ve never tried thank you
melissa nutt hope it works for you! I’m pretty sure my acne is mainly hormonal, so I might try the pill and also I have stomach problems so I assume I have some kind of intolerance too!
AM i just got prescribed the pill. took my 2nd today. hope it clears
rose hindle yess hope it works for you!!!
you should absolutely NOT go NEARRRR tanningbeds, even if its 10mins, going once a month even increases risk at skin cancer, please DONT do this, the uv in tanningbeds is way more “concentrated” then if you would walk the same amount of time in the sun english is not my first language so excuse that

I have a question, do the scars bother you ?
@@poisoningthemselvesnowbegg8108 Oohh well thank you for the warning! The scar is only small so I might just live with it in that case :)
For some reason, all the dermatologists refused to give me antibiotics which I don't know why.
the way i got rid of my acne:
1. i stopped using acne products
2. started using natural or really gentle products (mask of magnaminty - lush, cetaphil cleanser, Aztec clay mask for spot treatment)
3. Removed dairy from my diet
4. Don’t over wash your face
5. Moisturize
YES. couldn't emphasize the gentle product thing more. People normally go for the stuff that burns or tingles and its just not necessary.
I agree ! I listed everything I do. I also use an oil (organic and suited for acne prone skin) in the evening so it moisturizes and treats acne.
What helped me a bunch with my redness is rose water, OMG so goood....

Oh my God... Same like SAME. I don't have that much of acne right now but the scar make it looks like I have it all over my face 😭😭
Kennedy vitamin c oil works wonders for scars and even helps get rid of acne!
I have a lot of ice pick scars, makes it very hard to go work everytime

I think that is the best path as well. Thataylaa has great videos about her Accutane experience and her acne looks very similar xx
Olivia Lonngren i actually tried accutane i had really severe acne it went away for couple months after the treatment , but it came back again not as bad as it was but i still have acne even after a whole year of treatment and a really strict diet , 😢😢

Marita Yellowhammer I’ve got some it works pretty well.

Because you have lots of redness i would not recommend using witch hazel. You should use something more hydrating and less stripping because irritation can really give you more acne. Also maybe use serums with centella asiatica extract (common in korean skincare) which really helps with redness. Vitamin c serums and aha/bha toners can also help with skin hyperpigmentation and new acne
when she pulled out that witch hazel i was like girl r u being dead ass-- 💀
Gian Satoranský she never asked for criticism on her skincare routine this is a makeup tutorial
@@lylalalala2668 I don't think op meant any harm . I think they were just trying to give advice
Their products are also really affordable (like $10 and under for a lotta them)
I agree...the ordinary is really awesome for oily acne prone skin.
the niacinamide and zinc one is amazing for scarring
Valentina Aa I wanted to say that but couldn’t for the life of me spell that word. Lol Thanks!!
Dude, you are so adorable. I could literally watch you for hours doing tutorials or whatever else. You're hilarious and so personable.

But these things have helped me to cure (I hope!) my acne for good:
BUT what actually CURED it:
5. Birth control pills
6. Accutane
It's frustrating if you have to be perfect to cure your acne but others can do and eat almost everything and they still have perfect skin.
I forget what Accutane substitute I used but it worked permanently. I do have scarring still. Wearing no foundation might help a lot too.
Hey Suskubu,
Changing pillowcases every 2 days, not touching your face during the day, drinking LOTS of water everyday, washing makeup brushes often, using an antibac face cleanser and a rigourous facial routine everyday HELPS!
That moment when someone is absolutely gorgeous even with acnes♥️♥️♥️I appreciate your confident❤️❤️❤️Love u💕
I quit sugar for 5 weeks, drank hella lots of water everyday and stopped wearing makeup on a daily basis. My skin is thanking me now . Try that and you'll see spectacular results!
Keysha M so true, ive been doing that lately and it helps a lot
Uh, if it's a hormonal acne nothing will help 😩 just fucks me up. I get more acne when I don't wear makeup.
Yes I agree, quitting sugar can work wonders
You’re literally so beautiful with or without acne !! I’ve struggled with acne for years and it’s so frustrating to deal with so I wear lots of makeup too , wish I could give you advice but I need some myself 😂 great first video , new subscriber ❤️
THANK YOU so much Gia!! ❤️ I totally relate to what you're talking about! I've been getting so many comments of advice it's a bit overwhelming but hopefully I can figure my skin out and clear it and post my advice on this channel in the future!! thank you for subscribing :)
