One more thing to add: Volunteer at cybersecurity conventions! You get to go for free, and is a GREAT way to network. CISOs and Senior Pentesters are happy to chat with you, and answer any questions you have. Plus they know who is hiring.
If you're shooting for a TCM certification, they offer a 20% discount off exams+training for current/former military, current students, educators and first responders. It does not apply to the Academy subscription though.
Thanks, Tyler, I watched other RUclipsrs for the Ethical Hacking roadmap but it usually takes an hour to digest. Your roadmap is exceptional and get to the point without wasting time!
Thx for the video Tyler, just one question. My plan is: 1.THM paths (jr pentester, offensive pentesting) 2.HTB pentester path and CPTS cert 3.OSCP course and cert I am already 50% into jr pentester path on THM, should I scrap that and switch to TCM PEH course instead ?
They are not exclusive to one another. THM let's you practice more, within TCM you need your own machines. Doing the peh while Practicing and THM is a good start. Also don't just do the learning path, also do the practice machines on THM. nothing is as valuable as practice :) You can do this!
@@Kura_monYeah man, I get that, but imagine if you were to do all the training you think might be useful, you"ll never really get a job. Hence why you need to be selective at first, then once you have a job or while job hunting , you can keep doing training that you overlooked. At least the way I see it.
I found your RUclips channel linked from the "He Hacked My Websites" video on Network Chuck's channel. I never really saw myself as being interested in cybersecurity, until that video. Watching you shock Chuck as you expertly hacked his websites really peaked my interest. I'm now looking into a pentester career path. Keep the amazing content coming!
Hey I’ve been doing the same, but occasionally get scoffed at for only having that stuff and no cybersecurity job experience. How was your experience with getting people to give you a chance?
Great video! After htb, are u saying 3m of oscp is also necessary to take the test (or just to save $)? I thought one could register for oscp immediately after htb training.
Just found this through network chuck. I'm on a journey to get involved in the space and am concerned I may find difficulty getting hired because of my religion. Do you know anyone who is a valuable asset in their work community but cannot work on Saturdays? I HOPE SO! Thanks for the work you do and proving to provide solid information.
Is eJPT a good replacement for PEH? I got a discount code to get the exam a $100 off. Otherwise my personal roadmap looks almost the same. Also would you recommend getting the CPTS or just doing the path and gunning for the OSCP as fast as possible
I did V1 of the eJPT, and had a lot of fun. I hear V2 is more in depth, and its a good primer for the PWK/OSCP. There is a lot of overlap with each cert (Like all of them teach you NMAP and fuzzing) so don't feel like you need EVERYTHING.
Looking to get my oscp, and am currently an info sec analyst. my only concern about going for pen test role is, will I be able to land a fully remote job ?
okay that's great but i have heard that i must be great at networking and security and bla bla bla like CompTIA A+, Security +, Network +, CCNA, then the road like you have said why did not you mention all of these materials or courses. I am just wondering cuz I begin the A+ should I stop there and begin ur road map ?????
If you want a guarantee, I think you need to get all the way through the HTB CWEE. You need to be able to do white box hacking. Application Security Engineer > Penetration Tester in terms of job security
All are mostly paid anyway. TCM is monthly. Something like coins (as in HTB) would have been a way better for those (like me who are in another field and so in another job) and need more time to complete the course
hey bro, I’m having some trouble on an assignment and I was wondering if you could help me out please I really need some help if there was anyway we could get in contact

I truly believe PNPT is a harder exam than the OSCP. Its just the PNPT isn't fully recognized but its been getting popular pretty fast lately
You are rare in this field brother. Thank you for all you do. God bless you and your family
@prrrr-s3d what’s so funny? He gives with no ulterior motives and a God fearing mean in this industry is rare……….🤣

Short, simple and direct. No long hours of bs. Thank you, bro! My inspirational level just levelled up. Thank you! New subscriber here. God bless!
Thank you Tyler. Appreciate the quick and precise roadmap.
Perfect! Thanks for the video 💪🏾 I’m doing HTB Academy as I go though my bootcamp, finished THM jr pentester last year 😁

I'm gonna do exactly this thanks bro
Thank you Tyler, love your content.
Is this for someone who has no prior experience in IT?
You're a great man Tyler!
In 2 weeks it's my birthday and i'll try to save money from the gifts or ask this as a gift for my 26th birthday :D
I did TCM then thm. Landed a pentester role in about 6 months. Oh and bhis webinar’s thrown in when the offered free one.

any certification required?
@@bakeeryand you can put it on your resume
Congrats 🎊
I'm 4th!! I'm currently studying cpts

My goal for 2025: PNPT, CPTS and OSCP. Any suggestions about extra curriculum materials? Thank you in advance!

great vid, instant sub
Got most em courses downloaded...
Would love to listen to your rap song about oscp.
Do you need a degree to get into pen testing?
no
"I even have a rap song expressing my frustration with OffSec..."
That killed me man 😂
Hey Tyler, what's your view on the Ethical Hacking cert from EC Council?
Looking to get my oscp, and am currently an info sec analyst. my only concern about going for pen test role is, will I be able to land a fully remote job ?
It is very possible to get a remote pentester position. You just gotta find those companies who have those openings.
okay that's great but i have heard that i must be great at networking and security and bla bla bla like CompTIA A+, Security +, Network +, CCNA, then the road like you have said why did not you mention all of these materials or courses. I am just wondering cuz I begin the A+ should I stop there and begin ur road map ?????
The PEH course by TCM Security does a decent job at covering some of that material
Hi I want a help to create resume for ethical Hacker or penetration Tester
So you don't need comptia a+ both cores & security+ to become a pentester?
Technically, you don't need those certs to be a pentester BUT you gotta be willing to back up with experience.
Registered for htb 3 days ago (cpts)
How can I become a penters
does tcm have machines to practice?
They guiding you how to setup vm to practice
Have you been sponsored ?
No I don't do sponsorships.
PEH is not free do u have another options
Chatgpt might help you
@@ShiuE577 thanks for that

Appreciate it
WOW...just listening to your video.1944
Thank you Tyler, love your content, really honest and precise.
What about THM? Is it recommended?
Ten years later in month
A black hoodie is obviously a prerequisite 😂
Ah good call! I forgot the most important part!
