Something I love about adventure time is that not every episode builds on the overall story, but you can't tell which episodes do until the end. Also, Marceline is easy to love, she's such a cool character.
"Freak City" was the first episode of Adventure Time I ever saw, and I was instantly hooked. I thought Jake being so accepting of everything and trying to get Finn into it was hilarious. I'll admit it's kind of irritating now. And Magic Man is such an an a-hole who you just can't predict what he's gonna do next. All you know is the episode WILL have some grossout humor.
Marceline’s so fun, and “Henchman” is definitely one of the best episodes in Season 1. Love that little hint at the end into what (might be?) her backstory. And it only gets better from here!
Again, I can't stress this enough, Adventure Time's story is not linear. It consists of many different story threads, character developments and philosophical explorations. So the story has already began. That being said, these 3 episodes r among my favourities in s1. Ep20's moral is actually that sometimes sh*tty things happen to u regardless of ur actions, and the only way out of them is to admit they're sh*tty. Ep21 is an interesting exploration on what makes us wild and what makes us civilised, how us being a certain way affects others and whether it's a question of selfishness or selflessness. I also like that u noticed the Cosmic Owl. And ep22 is a continuation of Marceline's story. I'd say it's quite interesting how Marceline is good, but enjoys being bad. There r a lot of stories abt stygmas around certain creatures, but here it seems she enjoys a stygma around vampires. I wonder why?

Magic Man is also just Tom Kenny, as is Ice King, The Why Wolf, the guy who gets his tie sucked and most of the side characters.
Also Gork was Michael Dorn from Star Trek.

Jake has some immoral traits, he usually comes along for his own entertainment.
Magic Man is the single biggest jerk in all of Adventure Time. And that’s saying something cause we’ll meet some massive jerks along the way.
