I just found Doug Batchelor yesterday, and have watched many of his videos already, including his personal testimony. But I have one big question about him: his net worth currently is TEN MILLION DOLLARS.....? According to the Holy Bible, rich people don't go to heaven, and we are supposed to use any extra money we have to help the poor. Like Pastor Batchelor I have a Jewish mother, and my father was a multi-millionaire. I too was the black sheep of the family, and have been poor all my life, including being homeless for a period, and did some time in jail for drug forgery convictions. He is a few years younger than me, but other than that we have a similar background, although he is doing MUCH better than me financially. Dad left me a portion of his life insurance, so I have money to live on, but that is all. My question is: how does Pastor Doug Batchelor reconcile being so rich with following the Holy Bible....?

If the gospel of the SDA has anything to do with observing the law. It's not the true gospel. I've been to many of Doug's seminars and Doug will definitely teach that keeping the commandmentsise tied into your salvation. Doug is NOT qualified to be a preacher of the gospel.
It's not tied to salvation and I have never heard Pastor Doug say that. But there is scripture that says we should keep the commandments. Jesus said if you love me you'll keep my commandments and I beleive that means all of the commandments, including number 4 which says to rest on the 7th day and keep the sabbath holy.
@Robinsnest219 I've been to 3 of his seminars, and he says that if you don't keep the commandments (the sabbath), I would check your standing with God. Doug clearly ties keeping the sabbath with salvation. EGW as well. Doug is a different person when he knows when the cameras are turned off. Doug has to teach this way. It's written out for him by EGW his prophet. He doesn't teach the true gospel. He teaches the investigative judgment. By the way, why are you texting me on the sabbath. These things that you Christian leaders are trespassing will bring you to Hell if you do not change your ways and obey His words accordingly. You are more into tithe than saving the souls of your flock. These people who follow your teaching are condemned to be destroyed because you do not teach them that obedience to God's Law is better than sacrificing 'tithe.' Paul made it clear that faith without deed is dead. Since ancient times, the only deed that God requires from everyone is to follow His ways. This 'ways' He is talking about is obedience to the Law of Moses with love and mercy.

If the gospel of the SDA has anything to do with observing the law. It's not the true gospel. I've been to many of Doug's seminars and Doug will definitely teach that keeping the commandmentsise tied into your salvation.
Doug is NOT qualified to be a preacher of the gospel.
It's not tied to salvation and I have never heard Pastor Doug say that. But there is scripture that says we should keep the commandments. Jesus said if you love me you'll keep my commandments and I beleive that means all of the commandments, including number 4 which says to rest on the 7th day and keep the sabbath holy.
@Robinsnest219 I've been to 3 of his seminars, and he says that if you don't keep the commandments (the sabbath), I would check your standing with God. Doug clearly ties keeping the sabbath with salvation. EGW as well. Doug is a different person when he knows when the cameras are turned off. Doug has to teach this way. It's written out for him by EGW his prophet. He doesn't teach the true gospel. He teaches the investigative judgment.
By the way, why are you texting me on the sabbath. You are breaking the letter of the law. You should if your a sabbath keeper turn off your power to your house, turn off your gas and phone. You are making other people work on the sabbath. The law says you shouldn't even make your oxen work on the sabbath. You shouldn't even drive to church! What is the meaning of a sabbath days journey? The jews say 15 minutes.
