they were not, in fact, a happy trio.
for obvious reasons this show is very hard to edit when it comes to characters' stories and perspectives. The story is half lies half ghosts so most edits will end up feeling that way too.
i don't want to over-explain the work, but i do feel compelled to say that the goal was to portray both the happiness and the abuse experienced in their household, without extensively romanticizing any POV. i tried my best to focus on claudia's words and, of course, loustat's neutral scene in the finale (crying).

I can't find words even in my native language to describe it🥺 The way of your strorytelling is insane! The parallels and the dialogues are heart-breaking. And I'd like to point out a title of the edit specifically. In my opinion, the word Happy emphasises the tradegy of Clauida's life. Especially, the ending with Lestat's words still echoing in my ears😢. It creates an unforgettable contrast between what according to the title a viewer is expecting to see and what they actually see. It's done in a beautiful, exquisite, masterful way!😍👏👏👏
You've done something absolutely mind-blowing to this show, which is already amazing! It's just another level! You've set the bar freaking high! I wish, the cast and Rollin reacted to your edits😍

So, I was waiting for Claudia's demise because I absolutely loathed her most of season 1 onward....until she found her person. She completely changed once she found her companion and then I dreaded the end. I really wanted them to live and I think if Lestat had enough juice, he would have saved them too. Even though he and Claudia had a fractured relationship, he wouldn't ever hurt Louis in that way.
