A King is holding a wounded soldier asking him to 'Plz watch an ad to revive me' and the King is like 'Sorry, this game has no ads and is realistic. You should try it.' and the soldier bleeds out because he couldn't be revived with an ad. It's so pathetically funny because a lot of them have a character telling another character how great it is there's no ads, and the other character is in dismay because they wanted to watch an ad for a free revive.

Ironically you didn't even get to the bit in the gameplay where they bait-and-switch. The 'cozy' city building early on gives way to yet another carbon copy online battle game where you need to log in every hour in case someone is trying to raid your base.
Well if it wasn't false advertising, it would still be a copyright issue. "Their" Gameplay, as well as the music used in some adds, is taken in its entirety from the game "Thronefall" and even if you could argue the gamplay as just being inspired, they definitely didn't have the rights to the music.
I will say, the ONE benefit out of Kingshot ads (at least the ones that I've gotten,) is that whoever is playing the game in the ads not only doesn't intentionally fail, but actually succeeds at the level. That is the part in modern mobile game ads that makes me lose faith in humanity.
I hate when an app makes 500 ads all in the span of one month. I keep getting ads for the same fucking app and each time I tell youtube I'm not interested in that app, it gives me ANOTHER AD of that app. It should be a rule on youtube that a company cannot have more than 10 ads active at a time.
That would go against the free market... but I don't see why they shouldn't make the second simultaneous ad cost 2x the amount, the third one 4x, the fourth 8x and so on. Even the richest megacorp would have to dial it down at some point!

I think that the reason for the presence of so many ads that say "Kingshot game" or that show a king shooting someone is that they wrote "Kingshot" and specified that's the name of the game: when they highlighted it too much the AI assumed it had to highlight it too, and when they didn't AI generated a king shooting.
Finally we're talking about kingshot, this is another game that pisses me off real bad. Once I'm playing a mobile game, and this ad shows up and freezes the whole app. I have to restart the game because of this shit
I've had kingshot ads freeze my phone because it was, as I discovered later, trying to download itself onto my phone without my permission. Newsbreak ads also do this, as do those shady bingo/lotto/slot/gambling apps. If your permissions are set up to actually prevent things from downloading, the shadyGameAd freezes everything. If you've allowed apk downloads from other apps, shadyGameAd will hijack that and install itself about 20% of the time, and the rest of the time the ad just runs normally. Its insidious.
When I clicked on this video, I instantly got an ad about Kingshot, saying that it has "no ads" (and they just won't shut up about it). Since it was a skipable ad, I skipped it of course, but man I hate those ads.

That first ad was stealing the gameplay of Thronefall. The Thronefall devs know about it, but can't do anything to stop the kingshot ads. The blatant use of their sounds, their gameplay style, their hard crafted art, nothing can be done to keep it from being stolen for this shitty ad.

I think that the reason for the presence of so many ads that say "Kingshot game" or that show a king shooting someone is that they wrote "Kingshot" and specified that's the name of the game: when they highlighted it too much the AI assumed it had to highlight it too, and when they didn't AI generated a king shooting.
Should've called their game Convincingvoiceacting then.

I've had kingshot ads freeze my phone because it was, as I discovered later, trying to download itself onto my phone without my permission. Newsbreak ads also do this, as do those shady bingo/lotto/slot/gambling apps.
If your permissions are set up to actually prevent things from downloading, the shadyGameAd freezes everything. If you've allowed apk downloads from other apps, shadyGameAd will hijack that and install itself about 20% of the time, and the rest of the time the ad just runs normally. Its insidious.
When I clicked on this video, I instantly got an ad about Kingshot, saying that it has "no ads" (and they just won't shut up about it). Since it was a skipable ad, I skipped it of course, but man I hate those ads.

Whenever I see those "Live Commentary" style adds, I make it a point to never try those games. I'd also go out of my way to avoid any videos the people in those adds make as well, but finding their channels, if they even have one, is more effort than I care to put in.
